IZA: Well, here it is Groundcat Day, and as you can see, I saw my shadow! But I think we will have an early Spring annyway.
Why? Because I think the plants know more about that than my shadow does. Look! We have crocuses blooming in the back yard...
And in the front yard.
And, there are daffodils coming up all over the place. This is just one spot. They are near the house, out in the woods, unner the birdfeeder and around some trees...
Would they be up now if Winter was gonna last 6 more weeks? I dont think so...
Those are such pretty flowers. We sure hope they're right, for their sake.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteYes, plants are way smarter than groundhogs!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like spring is already coming for you ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteWe like your forecast better!
ReplyDeleteBefore I was even born, my mother planted individual crocus bulbs randomly in our front yard. They popped up every year like little spring surprises. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to your daffodil display this year Iza.

We have a lot of Spring stuff already blooming too, so we thinks you are right.
ReplyDeleteThe plants know! Groundhogs just guess, right?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope your flowers are right or they are going to be very cold.
ReplyDeleteThat is nice to see signs of spring. Hope a cold snap doesn't get your purrty flowers.
ReplyDeleteMy catness! Crocuses already??!!!
ReplyDeleteNot here by any stroke of the imagination. Right now its about 7F...Brrr! Theo ones in our yard better not even think about showing themselves yet, MOL!
At least we did have a nice sunny day today...so we basked in it all the day long.
It was heavenly:)
