LC's Gotcha Day

LC: I was in the same place Skeeter was, though I didn't know that at the time. I was in a clean calm place with 2 other kitties. That seemed normal to me. I only learned about Skeeter's problems there later.

The Big Thing came in and looked at another female kitty. She was a cute little multicolored kitty.I was pretty strange looking, it seems. I was mosty white but had a few odd black spots on me. So annyway, he liked that calico Shirley Templey kitty. She was already sold though.

He looked at me and glared back an went to the far side of the cage. No which side he went to, I went to the other side. He reached in once an I scratched him. He decided he wanted me anyway. Her, I was happy there!

It took him an another person to pop my claws of the cage wired one by one. When the last claw was pulled loose, I was removed from the cage an stuck in a box. I hated that! I kept gettig turned around without turning around. I did a pee in the box and it swirled around me. I wasn't happy about that at all.

I got brought to a room with moving water and I had never seen that before. Some of it was wi[ped all over me. Then I was was put inna large place with a litterbox at one end and wet food at the other. Naturally I ate first. I used the litterbox an then went to sleep on top of a large soft place. When I woke up the literbox was clean. as it should be.

I could smell 2 other kitties outside the door. That didn't seem good. One seemed OK, but the other hissed at me.

When I was finally let out after 2 lights, I met the friendly kitty. His name was Skeeter. I also met The Big Thing again. He gave me more food and I liked his scratching. But he pushed me toward Skeeter mostly. I got used to Skeeter. He groomed me an let me groom him.

I had problems, though. I was blind. I thought that was normal. I found food by smell. I found Skeeter by smell. But The Big Thing saw me walk into furniture an looked at me closely. My eyes were shut. I didn't know that was odd. I mean sometimes I could see and sometimes not. That was normal right? TBT saw sticky stuff on my eyes and washed them gently with clean water. Wow, suddenly I could see again. But everytime I napped, I couldn't see afterwards.

So he brought me to the vet (more box spinning and pooping). The vet found I had ear mites, an ear infections, an eye infection, an maybe some other problems. He recommended that I be returned to the kitty store for a replacement.

TBT decided not to have me replaced cause he knew what would happen to me. End of LC! So he started wiping out my ears daily with some stuff. An he squirted awful pink stuff down my throat for 2 weeks. I hated it an bit him many times. When I went back to the vet 2 weeks later, he said I was all better and that I was a really lucky cat for not just being returned to the cat store.

So the vet lady called me Lucky Cat. That's not what LC stands for, but that why some people call me Lucky Cat.

:)

When the Big Thing brought me to the vet after a couple days, he said I had
