Make A Nook Monday

IZA:  TBT was eating, and when I got pushier than usual, he pushed back more than usual.  And he didnt know the heaty mat had gotten unplugged.  So I needed a good place to stare at him adoringly in comfort.

I noticed that there was something pushable in the desk.  It a rack where he keeps address labels, stamps, etc.  But I could move it.

It actally made a really nice spot to sit...   But yeah, I hadda push over a flashie-light to make room.  And it turned out ta be a decent place ta rest my head.

Now about that desk...  Youve seen parts of it in lots of pictures, but TBT doesn't really know what ta call it.  His Dad called it a "hutch", an his Mom called it a secretary desk.  But TBT thinks a "secretary desk" is something that can be covered and locked (to keep "secrets").

What would YOUR Beins call this?

Easy Like Sunday

We are taking it easy here.  TBT on the chair watching baseball and talky TV and us laying around. 

He watches the Washington Nationals.  They are having a hard start.  2 starters are injuried, and they have lost 4 of 5 games decided by 1 run, AND they hit hard line drives right to the other team's gloves, AND they keep hitting long balls that hit the top of the home run fence (TBT helped us with that part).

Not that we care all that much, but it keeps him in his chair...

And "in chair" means "lap!

And the ottoman is pretty comfy too.  Iffen ya dont get the lap, bein comfy CLOSE to him is reassuring, too!

We ignore the talky people, but he likes them.

Ayla is sleeping on the bed pillow.

TBT:  I was amazed to see Iza napping across a thin wood brace on a TV Tray!  How can she do that?  It would be like me sleeping across a 4"x4" board...

And she had her nose pressed against a plastic container!

And when she changed positions later, she still draped across the wood brace.

Ayla will lay on a washcloth on the waterbed for the extra cushioning.  It is a clear difference.  Ayla is "The Princess and the Pea" type, and Iza could sleep on a pile of scrap wood...

LOL!

Decisions, Decisions

MARLEY:  Ever find yerself not sure what ta do next?  I had that very problem, just sitting and looking around.  What ta do, what ta do.

Then TBT came in and sat down.  Problem solved!

Womancat Wensday

IZA:  I got 2 things ta post today!  First, TBT was inna rush to get some errands done, so he grabbed a slice of leftover pizza fer lunch.  He didn't eat the crust (he usually does) and left the 6" of crust in a little bowl he tosses kitchen scraps in fer the compost pile.  And then left fast (after feeding us).

Well, when he got back, there was a 1/2" of crust on the floor.  He dint have to ask who ate it, because Im the only bread-eater-cat here.  I have even eaten all the crust off his homemade bread before a coulke times, so he has learned to hide that.  And I even gnawed a corn cob once.

He searched all around the house trying to find where I throwed it up, but he couldnt cuz I didnt.  And there I was begging for more food. 

Which kinna surprized him.  Well, there wasnt anny meat on it or even cheese, so I wanted some MEAT.  So he opened a can of tuna.  THAT hit the spot.  Ive been hungry lately.

Its not that I havent been getting plenty of food, but I think my "natural" weight is 10.5-11 pounds and TBT thinks it should be 9.5.  But Im at 10 pounds now.  HE says I just like to eat!  *I* say I just enjoy being plump!

Twofer Tuesday

AYLA:   A clear case of drawer-envy...  TBT sometimes opens the top drawer at night before he goes to bed cuz he knows we like sleeping in drawers on soft clothes.  He doesn't mind our fur.  He HAS a clean bath carpet mat that fits purrfectly in the drawer, but he forgets a lot.

I got in it first this time.  Marley really wanted to curl up there.  He asked if I planned to leave soon, but I said I was probly there for the night. 

He COULD have whapped me out of there, but he is a good brofur.  So he left ta find a nother spot.

Mebbe he went ta try the heaty mat while no one was looking.  I hope so.

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  "Jazz Hands" or "Happy Paws" or "Jazz Paws",  whatever ya call 'em I got 'em!

It is one of my favrit ways ta greet TBT in the morning from my platform bed.

And I like doin it sometimes when he sits near me.

I know Im gonna get chin scritchies ...

And I LOOOOVVVVE those!

Earth Day 2018

HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE!

Caturday Saturday

IZA:  We have a NEW TV CHAIR!  We didn't know it was coming, and quite frankly, TBT sent us all ibnto the back yrd just as we heard odd noises in the front. 

When we came back inside, we sniffed the new chair all over.  Marley and Ayla were a bit hissy about it, but I was just fine.  I adapt quickly, ya know...

It looked pretty fine.

I tried it out before TBT did, MOL!

Oh Bast, this is almost like the waterbed...

 I can SLEEP on the arms. How can a chair get better than THAT?

Well, I HAD ta let TBT sit in it fer a while after...  And I can sit on the arms in utter comfort next ta him not just sitting up on the arm.

Im sure he bought this JUST FER ME!

Freaky Friday

IZA:  I was staring intently out the deck door last week.  Ya wanna know why?

Cuz there was some guy up in one of our trees cutting a big branch apart.  TBT said the tree was so lopsided, it was in danger of falling over.

It looks a little funny now.  Like the tree is staring at us...

TBT says he may have to paint it!

Garden Tour Thursday

IZA:  Thank you for coming along on this weeks Garden Tour.  I was a bit surprised that Marley did one on the sly, but there is some new stuff and bedises, I show ya differnt angles of the flowers annyway...

We will start with the view from the deck.  Some of the daffodils are fading, but some of the tulips are blooming better now.

Lets go down an get a closer look at the tulips.  We like the yellow/orange ones a lot.

But I gotta admit these purple ones are really nice!

And these lighter ones are  pretty and subtle.  

The daffodils edging the regular flowerbed are unusual-looking.   We dont have anny others with white trumpets.

The hostas are emerging suddenly.  I like the cream and green ones...

But solid ones are good too.  They help show off the fancier ones.

We have some TBT dug up last year when the vishus deer ate the leaves off.  Im glad ta see they survived.  TBT and I will discuss where to plant them in the back yard where they will be safe from the vishus deer.

Another tub of recovering hostas.  They sure are pretty!

And I notice that one bulb was in the wrong bag when they got planted.  Sometimes the nurseries make a slight mistake.

And there are a few hyacinths still blooming.  They dont seem to do very well here.

TBT and Ayla chose our snacks and drinks today.  TBT cooked a pork roast a few days ago, and as usual with meats, he cuts off a portion and cooks it without his weird herbs and spices just for us.  So we he minced pork with gravy.  It is "inneresting".  And in case you dont like it, Ayla has brought out some canned rabbit.  And crunchies!  We seem to have a new drink...  Chickie broth and cream smoothies?  Hmm.  Ah, with Nip...

Womancat Wensday

IZA:  I love when TBT uses up a 6 egg cardboard carton.  He tosses it on the floor and I immediately ATTACK it!

I tear them apart wif my teef, rip them apart with my claws, an bunny-kick them to pieces.

Fer some strange reason, Ayla and Marley stay out of the kitchen when I am doing that...

One time TBT got his eggs in a sterofoam stirafome funny plastic carton and I was confused.  I ripped it once an it made a hideous noise.  I ran away all poofed!
