A Little Afternoon Delight

MARLEY AND IZA:  We LOVE ta wrassle.  We never hurt each other of course, and it never gets old.

This one started cuz we were both sittin on the afternoon sunny spot.

 It went from groomin ta wrasslin.

It SEEMS fierce ...

But its OK.

We will be groomin each other again inna few minutes!

Thursday Garden Tour

IZA:  Well, Im sorry ta say we cant do an on-site Garden Tour today.  The grass is 10" high cuz the grass-chopper is bein repaired.  Walking through tall grass is cool, but it rained all morning, so that grass is SOAKING wet.  I guarantee IM not goin out there...

But we did take a few pictures the past couple of days, so we can at least show ya stuff ya WOULD have seen iffen we could do the real garden tour today.  This is sorta a "nature tour".

This is the old fallin-apart compost bin.  I think there is a groundhog livin unner it.

Here is an asparagus spear.  As ya can see, TBT dint get around ta weedin before they started comin up and now he doesnt wanna dig around there.  That would harm new spears.  I told him and told him, but he always had "something else" ta do.

Here are some escaped perennials in the lawn.  They are called Salvia Purple Knockout.  A place sells them as flowers, but apparently they are really just weeds!

This is a buncha ants.  I think they are havin a convention.  Mebbe like to elect a new Queen or somethin.

Here is one of my favrit things.  A MOUSIE HOLE!  About once a week one comes out to play with me.  They dont last as long as the ones in the house, but they taste better.

There are birdies in the trees.  They almost never come down ta play with me...

I am told we will have better weather fer next week, so I'll hope ta see ya all fer real then.

Garden Tour Thursday

IZA: 

Welcome friends!  Im callin todays garden visit the "Tulip Tour".   There are a few other blooms ta see, but mostly tulips this time.  As ya can see, the early daffodils are starting ta fade!




These are the ones that seem happiest (they keep coming back).

They have neat black centers if ya can stretch up high enough to look down on them.  TBT is available fer lifting...

These next few are the last survivors of patches of 7 bulbs planted just a few years ago.

We dont know how this yellow one sneaked in.  TBT doesnt buy plain yellow tulips cuz yellow daffodils do so well here.

The multi-colored ones are another matter.  We love "painted" tulips.  But this one has been left all alone...

 Another "last one".  But its still pretty!

As long as we are passing by, this Viburnam is blooming.  Smells good, too!

These yellow-orange ones are nice.  We wernt sure they would show up again this year cuz TBT built a box and added dirt.  But they managed...

 Even the unopened ones are pretty.  That stuff growing behind them is called "Snow On The Mountain".  They grow about cat-high and spread out ta cover the ground.  The cream and green leafs are pretty in early Summer, but they turn brown in August.  They came from NH, you see, so they dont like our heat.  But these are in a new shadier spot, so mebbe they will stay happy.  There are 2 really big hostas just coming up in there, but it will be a month before theyre worth noticin.

As a special treat this week, we have Fromm Duck and Chicken Pate, "Goodlife Recipe Catnip Delights" crunchies, and Nip water inside (so Ayla and Marley can say hello).

Pole Dancing

MARLEY:  Sometimes Im just a Wild Child!  For example, one of my hobbies is "exotic dance".  I just love dancin around the poles on our kitty tree, but I usually start an stop too fast fer a picture.  This time though TBT was takin a picture when I suddenly ran up to the pole.

Throw treats...

Cuz its a lot easier fer me ta treats by dancin than  it is by figurin out THIS evil little thing!

 Iza is the only one who has a knack for it.  She knows how ta hit it so that treats fall out, so Ayla an me just wait around.

 See?  They fall out that little hole there, but I cant make it werk.  So I gotta dance fer my treats...

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  I swear there are times when I cant get ANNYTHIN out of a simple spot!

 I cant get the BALL out or nothin!

With BOTH paws...  What I need ta stick my nose in there too?
