6000 Posts

 THE MEWS:  

We are thrilled to announce that we have just reached 6,000 posts.  Like lasting 18 years, TBT and we never thought it was possible, never mind likely for us.   OK, none of us Mews were here when it started, but we respect the posts of those who have departed for the Bridge.  Only TBT was here to see all that.

But it is still a whole fambly thing among us.  So we couldn't let it pass without acknowledging it.

But the math says that is 300 posts per year.  How did TBT miss the other 65 days each year?  Well, obviously TBT is a slacker sometimes.  And that means you all missed 1,174 (there were Leap Years) posts seeing us.  

Such a sadness of missing that many of our exciting days!  We hope you will forgive us for your loss of so many.

MOL, just kidding.  It is our thrill to have visitors any day and we are grateful.  But we do have to talk to TBT about those non-post days...

Reviewing August

TBT:  August was a busy month for The Mews.  Looking back on it Lori and Marley had birthdays, Marley was celebrated with a wonderfully-creative post in the Zoolatry "Friends Month" project, and we celebrated our 18th year Blogoversary!  

In the past, Birthdays and Gotcha Days and such have been somewhat randomly scattered around the year.  But August seems to be a "collective" month for many years to come.  

And there have to be some pictures of course...

Forgive the baggy pants.  Those suspenders/braces had kind of lost their elasticity.  The newer ones pull up a bit more and those wrinkles just disappear (He said "smoothly").

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:   All of us like the back of the TV Chair, but I'm there the most often.  The folded blanket, mat, an towel make the top wider

An TBT likes knowing I am there, too.

TBT says he added the stuff on top to raise the back a little fer his head to rest on better.  But we know he really did it fer us!

LOKI:   The chair...  I LOVE it.

Even when TBT gets in the pic.  He's OK.

And sometimes better than OK.  Even if he blocks me someparts.

That one is good.  He is almost growing some fur!  Long way to go though.

TBT:   Lori is running around like her tail was on fire.  She jumps to the top of the bookcases.  She jumped to the shoe rack for the 1st time.  She and Laz are bunny-kicking each other.  I'm looking for torn sutures hourly.  But she seems to be healing fast.

But when she sleeps, she sleeps...
