Ayla: Wow! We gotta catch up. We are behind events by several days an LOTS has happened! We been so busy, we aint efen been able ta visit our friends, an we are unhappy about that... Not only haf WE been busy, The Big Thing has been hoggin the computer on some SECRET PROJECT!
On SUNDAY, Iza got ta go outside fer the first time cause the weather was so nice! She has been rushing the deck door efry time LC an I went in or out. The Big Thing decided Iza had better get used ta outside when he was with her rather than gettin out on her own at night when he couldnt find her.
He carried her outside an put her on the lawn. She jumped straight up an ran fer the deck when she came down! She dint like the feel of grass AT ALL! She got onto the patio an I went over ta watch her. She said the smooth cement felt at least like a wood floor, if a bit cold.
I tried ta lure her out onna lawn, but she wouldnt go.
She did walk around the wood the deck stands on.
Iza even liked a cinder block better than lawn!
She did like watchin the squirrels and birds closer up.
After Iza fled inside, I checked out the heat pump thingie ta make sure it was werkin. I guess we dont hafta worry about Iza runnin away. She tole me "ouside is terrible"!
On MONDAY, I went inta heat again (sigh) AND The Big Thing discovered I was overdue for my annual shots (no postcard reminder from the V-E-T) and he said Iza needed a "little visit" too.
On TUESDAY, Iza an I got put inta PTUs and driven off ta the V-E-T! Details on THAT tomorrow...
.
We are sure Iza will learn to like outside a great deal. She will just have to get used to it. The beans used to have a cat named Princess. Princess had spend her whole life in a cage until the beans adopted her when she was six months old. She had to learn how to jump and do all sorts of cat things. Whiskers taught her. And the first time she felt grass she was scared of it, but she learned to like it and enjoyed living here and going outside. She had seizures and the vets tried all sorts of different things to stop them, but nothing worked so she didn't get to live here long before she went to the Rainbow Bridge.
