Snowflake rosette and borders dies!

So, those Christmas cards... well, if you are organized it would be a would idea to start them now. Here you have an idea using one of my latest dies for Sizzix, Thinlits Die Set 9PK - Winter Borders & Rosette - 659978.

The set consist of 9 dies, three borders, a rosette die, a snowflake, a flower and three circles. To make the rosette you will need two lengths of it, so just die cut it twice.

You can make it larger or smaller, but I like my rosette to have eight points, so I trim two on both. Then I glue the ends.

I die cut two circles to secure it in place. I used cool glue gun, a big blop of glue in the centre.

I pushed the center to the glue. Then I used the smaller circle on top and pushed down to secure it in place.

One of the borders included in the set is the one I call Candy Cane as creates the diagonal lines of the sweet. This one fits nicely on a A6 card creating the apertures.

Perfect for a red card with a white insert. The second border has dots and stars and this one mesures up 6 inches tall and it does cut all four borders.

Quickly, I assembled this Christmas card with all the elements.
Good luck with your Christmas cards!

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!
Valentine's Day is approaching and today I would
love to share another project created for this occasion.
And once again for my today's project I used our FREE

Here is my tag....
I used one of the pattern papers as a background and
then I began adding embellishments to decorate it.
Kiss Me Tag {Sizzix}

656938 Sizzix Movers & Shapers Die Tag & Bookplates

Different dies were used to die cut my embellishments...
The red heart - between the twine - was first stamped and then die cut.
You will find the word "cute" printed on one of the pattern papers -
I used a small banner die which fit perfectly.

Ornament for Christmas Tree

Hi All!

Daria is here. And today I would like to show you a small tutorial how I created a boot for my Christmas Tree.

Items:
Sizzix Bigz Die - Christmas Cardinal (658206)
Sizzix On the Edge - Snow Flurries (656920)

1. Cut 2 boots from white cardstock.

2. For the first boot use background stamp with music sheet, then add pink paint. After paint will dry apply violet structure paste with stencil on to the boot. For the second boot use background stamp with music sheet, then add gesso with the same stencil.

3. Add white dots using gesso and stencil on to the both boots. After gesso will dry add pink and violet sprays on to the boots.

4. Glue both boots together.

5. Cut two snowflakes borders using Snow Flurries die. Cut bird using Christmas Cardinal die. Create two rosettes used Mini Snowflake Rosettes.

6. Onto the first side of the boot glue one snowflakes border, ribbon, big rose, and rosette.

7. Sprinkle onto the boot pink and violet sprays. Also add lime spray. Color the bird using paints.

8. Glue the bird onto the boot. Add dots onto the boot edges using pink liquid pearls. Create snow using white acrylic paint.

9. For another side of the boot cut ornament using Ornaments #3 die set. Use white embossing powder with stamp from the same dies set. Use heat tool. Sprinkle lime spray onto ornament. Glue snowflakes border, ribbon, big flower, and Snowflake Rosette onto the boot.

10. Sprinkle onto the boot pink, violet and lime sprays. Glue the ornament onto the boot. Add dots on the boot edges using white liquid pearls. Create snow using white acrylic paint. The boot is ready.

Have a nice day!

Sizzix:
Big Shot Machine (657900)
Sizzix Bigz Die - Christmas Cardinal (658206)
Sizzix On the Edge - Snow Flurries (656920)

Christmas Cardinal.

White space and a lot of dimension - low budget scrapping :)

Hi,I hope you had a great week!
Today I want to share one of my new layouts - lighter in style - with just a touch of media on it and a lot, a lot of negative space. Projects like this are perfect for using the leftovers from 12x12'' papers or small paper pads such as 6x6'' or A4. You don't have to use big papers for scrapping, as long as you have a good background to play, right? Tons of embellishments are just an option, too...

As you can see on this layout - you can create balanced, dimensional composition with a touch of gesso, paint, small scraps of paper and just a bit of embellishments - the most important elements here are layered cut-out doilies and a paper rossette, which was decorated with new Mechanicals - metal embellishments from Prima.

The whole secret is in not being afraid of the empty background and composing all the layers of paper, cut -outs and embellishments as close to the photo as possible. It is convinient to have some 3D foam  and double sided tape - it makes the creative process far easier and layers more spectacular ;)

To create a project similar to this you will need 3 different Sizzix dies:
- 658339 - Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die - Medallions
- 659068 - Sizzix Thinlits Die - Doily
- 658947 - Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 2PK - Doily & Doily Border

All the papers, stamps and metal embellishments are new, coming releases of my products with Prima Marketing -  Vintage Vanity A4 Journaling pad, Vintage Vanity Clear Stamps and Mechanicals.  Layout was finished using a bit of Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink, tea stain and spray paint. For stricking the elements and dimension I used products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: 3D Foam Squares and Crafty Power Tape.

I hope you are a bit inspired - have a great, creative weekend!

Flag_of_Italy Per le amiche italiane! :)

Ciao!
Vediamo come fare...

Star Card

Materiali:

Sizzix Big shot machine (655268)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 3PK - Frame, Damask (657599)
Sizzix Bigz Die – Stars (656339)

cartoncino: kraft, turchese
patterned paper (azzurro e giallo)
un pezzetto di cartone pressato
cordoncino
bottone celeste
bandierina (Pebbles)
inchiostro marrone

Procedimento:

6 - Stampare o timbrare l'augurio. Incollare la striscia con l'augurio.

Rosette Card

Materiali:

Sizzix Accessory - Extended Spacer Platform (655098)
Sizzix Framelits Die Set 3PK - Frame, Damask (657599)

cartoncino: panna, turchese
patterned paper (azzurro e giallo)
carta glitter arancione
carta glitter ghiaccio
spago
bottone arancione
tulle
strass

Procedimento:
