Try diecutting your photos too!!

Hi! today I have a page in lovely bright colours to share. I had two rather similar pictures that I wanted to use on the same page, and to add a bit of pizazz I decided to try die cutting them.
I quite like the look and will definitely do that again. I diecut another oval slightly larger to
act as a frame to make the photo stand out more from the background,
I embellished these frames with liquid pearls.

These are the Sizzix products that I used:

I also used patterned papers from Les Papiers de Pandore and flowers from Prima Marketing and Petaloo.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hejsan!

Hugs/Kram!!

A Girly Layout by Gerry van Gent

Hello Sizzix friends and
Happy Sunday!
Today I would love to share with you a layout using
different Sizzix dies and an embossing folder. This is also
one of the  layouts I was teaching during  my workshops in 2013.

Leanne

657900 Sizzix Big Shot machine
658240 Sizzix Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die Brick Wall
657670 Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
- Roses & Frame Set
658946 Sizzix Thinlits Die Decorative Border & Hearts
659069 Sizzix Thinlits Die Butterfly, Flowers & Lattice
658506 Sizzix Sizzlits Die Vintage Doily

The Decorative heart border was cut in many pieces and
spread over the layout to give more texture.

The photo was placed in an embossed frame.
The inside rectangle was simply removed from the
embossed frame and instead a photo was adhered.

Both vintage doilies were used to layer the flowers.
PC3

The lattice and the brick wall dies were used both
to decorate the background. For this purpose I once again
cut the dies into different sizes and adhered them
mainly by using modelling paste.

Other Products I used:
Prima Marketing - papers, flowers and stamps
Prima Marketing & Ingvild Bolme - distressing tool & craft knife

Wishing you Happy Holidays with your loved ones!

"Congratulations" Card by Gerry van Gent

Happy Sunday Sizzix friends!
Gerry here today to share with you a greeting card
I created for my blog post today.

658373 Sizzix Pop 'n Cuts Magnetic Insert Die Label, Funky 3D
658356 Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Rose Vines & Trellis Set

656938 Sizzix Movers & Shapers L Die Tag & Bookplates
659069 Sizzix Thinlits Die Set Butterfly, Flowers & Lattice

*   *   *
Card Size: 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm
I used sand paper to distress the embossed parts of my background paper
so it will pop up.

The title was the the last touch I added to my card.
I didn`t have the size and font I liked to use as a title
so I used a computer font and printed the word "Congratulations",
distressed it with ink and adhered it on the card.

I used Karen Burniston's Funky 3D Label as a base of the bookplate.

My card has dimension as I use different layers and....generous amount of foam squares :-)

OTHER PRODUCTS I USED:
Maja Design "Walking in the Forest" collection
Webster's Pages Silhouette resin
Prima Marketing fabric flower

combined Sizzix dies with a gorgeous shabby chic resin
rub-ons and pattern papers.

The lattice was die-cut once and cut into two. A piece of it I used to
decorate the top of the frame and the other part was used on the bottom as a border.
