DESIGN TEAM

For my second project, I choose "Shirt and tie" trying to make some Father´s Day cards in advance; and "Shirt and Tie Shaped Card" cutting file provided by our sponsor, was just perfect for that. Of course my "Gentlemen Owls" pattern paper couldn´t be any better.

Hope you are enjoying this challenge as I'm. This week I would like to share this cute card for a Little Baby Boy using the Shirt and Tie Shaped Card from our amazing sponsor The Cutting Cafe.

I finally this is my shirt versión.

For this week I chose the High Heel Shoes Shaped Cards from our sponsor.

KEMLY

In this week, I made a card with file "Shirt and Tie Shaped Card". From our sponsor,

I used the Tie Shaped Card and I used the sentiment for A great Dad.

Cazzy
Shirts again - I love making these shirt cards! This time one is very bright, both are for Dad's birthdays. I added faux stitching and got a little creative with the pocket handkerchief on the striped one.

I also tried a shoe, but I don't think I did it well - it could be better, note to self: next time read the guide first!
I'm sneaking in another shirt, one I had nearly made then misplaced!

Challenge #11 Put your Quirky Shoes or shirts on!

Welcome back to Quirky Crafts, it's challenge time again! I have chosen a fun challenge, well I think it is fun.

I want to see shoes, shirts or ties, shaped cards, altered art, projects with shoes or shirts or ties on them please.

Here is a song called "No Shoes, no shirt, no problem" ha ha.

Our generous sponsor is the wonderful Cutting Cafe, who have provided the team with two files sets for this challenge. The sets contain a variety of formats of cutting files for different machines as well as PDF versions to hand cut, and printable sentiments.

Who are giving some great prizes to our winners:
1st prize 3 sets of winner's choice
2nd prize 2 sets of winner's choice
3rd prize 1 set of winner's choice

You get such a lot with any of the file sets at the Cutting Cafe, either cutting files or printables, they are definitely good value, and good prizes.

Now for some inspiration, first from our Guest Designers:

Julia has used the tie card from The shirts set, along with one of the sentiments in the set to make a great Father's Day card.

Julia said "The white on white made me think of a baby boy Christening!  thought it came out kind of cute!  I used Linen cardstock and popped the pieces up on foam tape."

Now some inspiration from the Design Team:

For this week project, I chose "shoes"and I made two of the differents options that the cutting file "High Heel Shoes Shaped Cards" provide. For the card base I used embossed cardstock, then I sanded it to get a better look of the embossed design. Then I added some details in vintage pattern paper. I also added a tul and some vintage shoe buttons that was just perfect for a final touch.

I used for my gift bag and for my tie card Shirt and Tie Shaped Card from our sponsor The Cutting Cafe.

DORIS

Welcome to our new Challenge. It is my pleasure to work with The Cutting Cafe files. For this week I chose the High Heel Shoes Shaped Cards, and for my first one I used the Top and More Heel and Bows part of the file and High Heel Shoe Shaped Card Sentiments file too . I used red and black paper dots, some gems and embellishments.

For my second one, I used just the top part of the file and some embellishments. This is a little vintage shoe style.

Hi! For this week I used the file of our sponsor The Cutting Café
High Heel Shoes Shaped Cards. I added a button a little details for this card. And I used  the sentiment also our sponsor.

Cazzy

I've been making shirts, and such quick and easy shirts to make - even cutting by hand! I found some shirt like card with a plain back and used it for two tone shirts, and some hand made cotton flocked papers that were just right for the ties. One card is a Father's day card using the sentiment in the set, then other is a birthday card using sentiments from Birthday Fun. Do you like the monogrammed pocket? These shirts are addictive, you get everything you need for complete cards including an envelope to cut out.

DORIS

This time I made a Pop Out card from the Silhouette Store. The beautiful image is Angel Girl Sitting from our amazing sponsor Bugaboo Stamps.

MYRIAM

For my shadow frame I used Ravens Soul digi from Sweet Pea Stamps

MONICA

For my project I made a sympathy card with the gorgeus  digi
"To Bid you Farewell"
created by Rebeca Sinz and provided by Sweet Pea Stamps.

This is such a beautiful digi from Sweet Pea, it is by Molly Harrison and called Orchid of the Night. It is one that I really didn't want to mess up on, and yet I had a near disaster but it was averted - phew. I coloured the image with Promarkers and added silver with a Prismacolor pencil. The veins on the wings are doodled in by me in Amethyst which I went over with silver pencil.
The sentiment was a freebie from Sweet Pea, part of a set of four circular sentiments.

This is Strength Fairy from Bugaboo, and the sentiment says it all for me at the moment. I had a little trouble with ink bleed here, so apologies for her tummy. Again I used Promarkers to colour her.

This week I made a card with the beautiful digi Pretty Fairy.  This pretty girl  reminds me of the charm that Marilyn Monroe had, with her beauty, charm and friendliness, she was to many like an angel. An angel in the cinema .
In this picture, the famous scene from the movie  "The Seven Year Itch".
I used Acuarelables pencils, Distress Inks an Pastel Chalks.

Hi....For this week I made a beautiful project with the Ava Heart digi
from our sponsor Bugaboo Stamps. Colored with Spectrum Noir.

Hello everyone!!! For this new challenge I want to share this Double Shutter card from the Silhouette Store. The digi image I used is Karen Middleton's The Gift Angel from Sweet Pea Stamps  and I worked with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

"Words of an Angel,.A Mothers Love" provided by Bugaboo Stamps, was just perfect for a Mother`s Day gift bag.

Happy Mother`s Day for all those moms that celebrating today!!!!

Hi! To this week I made a Easel Card. I love the Christmas and the angels are wonderful. I used Angel of Christmas Stars
of our sponsor Sweet Pea Stamps.

First of all can I wish all of you who are celebrating today - Happy Mother's Day! We had the UK one in March of course.
For my first card I chose this really pretty Sweet Pea angel called Angelic by Rachel Anderson, I thought I would use pale colours (markers and cardstock) to keep it delicate and sympathy sprang to mind, and I used a freebie Sweet Pea sentiment to go with it. She has large ears, hope nobody is offended by that if they get the card! I could have used her for a birthday too.  She could even be done in dark colours and become a goth (I might have to try that now)!

For my second example I chose Bugaboo's Christmas Words - Angel, and turned it into a girly birthday card! Lots of people think their little ones are "angels".
With similar colours to my first card but darker, and with added Stickles and star beads, and die cut words. The ribbon on both cards is from Crafty Ribbons.
