Now onto the latest Quirky Cazzy challenge, the title says it all, and I have that song in my head "What's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster?....."
I want to see lots of monsters, the more the merrier! Numbers was popular, I hope Quirky Monsters will be too!
We are happy to tell you we have two sponsors for this challenge and both have great monster images.
Our first place winner will be able to choose 7 images from Bugaboo.
Both sponsors have provided some images for the team to use, and here are some great examples using our sponsor's images.
First our Guest Designers.
Dannie used Monster Birthday Balloon from Bugaboo for her first card.
Dannie's second card features a monster from the new set by Dustin Pike at Doodle Dragon Studios.
Carissa used a Doodle Dragon Studio monster from the most recent set by Dustin Pike. Love the eyeballs!

For my Dustin Pike card....

and on the inside...I've used Monster Number One!! He looks like he's shouting Happy Birthday! Hope you like them all!!
I worked with two of the Bugaboo monsters 'Birthday monster sign' and 'Birthday monster balloon' to make my card. I coloured them all in using promarker pens, and cut out the birthday monster balloon image and mounted it on sticky foam pads to make him pop. I used a similar decoupage technique for the red balloon at the bottom of the Happy sign.
I used Bugaboo's Pretty Please monster to make my cake monster card, coloured her with Promarkers and Trias, and used some freebie paper from Crafts Beautiful mag, with cake ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. I stitched the paper to the card. The sentiment is made of two stamps from the Debbi Moore Birthday sheet.
The inside, clearly my monster didn't get what she wanted and is going very red, Bugaboo Temperamental monster used with more freebie paper.
Well I had to have a hill with that tune going round in my head, I used 4 of the monsters from Doodle Dragon Studios by Dustin Pike, made them different sizes for perspective and then hand cut the hills in a tri-fold card, added some freebie paper for the hills and DCWV sky paper, stamped the greeting, wrote the monster greeting, and that is it! Oh Promarkers used to colour all monsters!
Here is the official video of the song, if it looks black refresh the page!
I have worked with all of the Dustin Pike (Doodle Dragon Studios) Monster images we were given...well they were all so cute I couldn't choose, so it had to be all of them. This handsome looking guy was printed onto the background paper using Craft Artist. Then printed separately and decoupaged to the front using a spring, so he bobbles around.
The inside of the card features all his friends. The group of monsters on the final page are also decoupaged and the central character also mounted on a spring. The result...a nice colourful party invitation. My Daughter now wants a monster party.......(p.s....she is 20 yrs old!)I used the digital image in my cutter software to create a paper piecing. Image is then raised on sticky pads for dimension and as always coloured with promarkers.
