Challenge #18.-Red red wine!!!!

Ok everybody, grab your wine glasses and...

This new challenge is all about wine. We want to see wine glasses, wine bottles, people with wine glasses, grapes, etc. But also, it could be any project with wine or red colors.
So let´s have toast in Quirky´s behave and let´s star working.

Our sponsor for this challenge is CRACKER BOX PALACE.

And the prizes are:

First place: 3 digi images from Cracker Box
Second place: 2 digi images from Cracker box
Third place: 1 digi image from Cracker box

And now let´s see our team inspiration:

GUEST DESIGNER

DESIGN TEAM

I'm not a wine drinker, but tried to make a card that would be good to give along with a bottle of wine as a gift.

MONICA

CHEERS!!!!!
For my project I used the wine bottle, the wine glasses and the grapes provided by our sponsor to make a popular box card (for a long time I refused to make this card because everybody is making it, but I must said I love how it turn out with this digis. This 3d card gives a perfect sense of a real toast).

I thought I would make a bottle shaped card, which I coloured with Promarkers, and printed again on acetate and parchment. The acetate went on top of the coloured image and the parchment lable was cut out to go on top. I added some foil to the lid. I put the words Vin Rouge and the grapes, also from our sponsor, on the lable.
The card needed lining inside to hide the markers from the other side, so I printed the two bottles again on parchment, this time I added the two funny sentiments from our sponsor, I love the tick list, which isn't in focus here so I will take another photo when I can.

The back of the bottle, and I used the wine glass here, the glossy accents on the glass are dry now!
A photo outside the mini studio in an attempt to see the true colours.

For my project I used a glass and I put the word Vin Rouge. As elegant color red wine evoke us romantic moments.
I've made this card, no glue used at all as it's all been printed straight on the matt photo card and coloured on the computer.. I just had to use this Bugaboo image with the sentiment, the grapes, the wine bottle and the words on the wine bottle, (very small but can be made a lot bigger!)  from our sponsors.

Challenge #17 Put a Stamp On It Reminder

Hi there!  My name is Cindy and this is my first ever hosting of a Quirky Crafts Challenge! One more week for this challenge!

Remember when there was no internet and all we got was mail in a mailbox?   For this challenge, use a postage stamp: an image of a postage stamp, postoids, postage stamp dies or scissors...  Let's see what we can create to pay homage to this original form of communication.

This challenge is being sponsored by Stitchy Bear.  She gave us some fun images to play with...

Prizes will be from this creative company so check them out!

The prizes for this challenge are:
1st place - 3 images of choice from the whole Stitchy Bear Store
2nd place- any 3 of the Dt´s chosen images
3rd place- any 2 of the Dt´s chosen images

Here are the images that the team used:

Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps

 Crafty Girl

Delicious Doodles

And here's what our Design Team came up with!

Letters and postcards are treasures. When you get them, you need a especial place to store them and keep them safe. So, for this week project I made an accordion album to keep my letters.
For this project I used Post Card Set 1 and Cat Mail provided by Stitchy Bear.
To keep the vintage look of my project, I used just a little bit of distress ink.

I am still on a Christmas card theme, and this time I used an image from the set called Mr Frosty, and I found some great paper with postage stamps on it by Papermania that was perfect for this challenge.

The inside is decorated with more of the postage stamp paper, and the stamps have a snowman on them which ties in with the main image.

This week project is about Love letters and the feelings about it...

My turn to be late on posting... SO sorry!
I have been enjoying the entries so far and want to thank everyone who has entered my first ever challenge at Quirky Crafts Challenges.  For those who have not yet, why not? :)  Any craft project that has postal elements to it are well come.  Think dies cuts, postage stamps, post boxes, those fun postage edge scissors we all collected at one point...

This Art Journal page is my reminder project.
 Lyn
Aren't they all fantastic! Here's mine, sorry Cindy I beat you again at being last! Thought I'd sneak this in on  Tuesday morning, hoping no one would notice! I've used those posting penuins Dear Mr Claus and coloured using Promarkers. I die-cutted out the first picture with the snowy background and then added more 3D layers. I've also added stickles glitter, ribbon and a little Father Christmas envelope with a tiny stamp on it in shrink plastic.

Now let's see what you've come up with!  Any crafty project is acceptable as usual.  Before you link up please add a link to Quirky Crafts Challenges to your post - or you will not be able to enter, then please add a link to your blog post or your online photo gallery, SCS etc. using the button or link below. Challenge #17 Put a Stamp on It!

Hi there!  My name is Cindy and this is my first ever hosting of a Quirky Crafts Challenge! Welcome to a new challenge!  To see who won the last challenge click HERE or scroll down to the next post.

First, here are projects by our Guest Designers:
Jackie said: Image called Cat Mail from Stitchy Bear, I printed onto a parchment card and coloured the image with Pan Pastels and a white gel pen
Dp is K & Co
I cut a stamp from a sheet of K & Co too
Joy feather die to represent a quill
Pink Petticoat sentiment
Sepia fineliner

And here's what our Design Team came up with!

I LOVE postage themed images and have quite a few in my collection! I used these Postacard 2 and Cat Mail images from Stitchy Bear for this week.  Then the Postage dies from Spellbinders came out, and then I had to start to rein myself in!  Check out my blog for more details on construction....

To send our letters we need a mailbox, instead of an email.
For my mailbox I used craft cardstock and inked it with different distress inks colors. I also used a mail related embossing folder and a Graphic 45 fairy stamp.
Of course the most important element in the project is this lovely digi "Letter`s Home" provided by our generous sponsor Stichy Bear Stamps.
I colored the digi with Spectrum Noir pens and when I finished I distress it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, to add a vintage look.

When I heard the theme I found this gorgeous Snowy Postbox scene from Delicious Doodles which is perfect. I added a bit of colour to the very English postbox and scene with Promarkers then die cut it to fit inside the Spellbinders postage stamp die, and to make it more like a stamp I franked it with a Marianne stamp. Ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.

Still using the postage stamp die I used Dear Mr Claus with its  three cute penguins and an American style post box. Again the ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.
So two more Christmas cards done, YAY!

I used, the beautiful stamps, Dear Mr. Claus and Snowy PostBox. Letters for Santa are a Christmas tradition. Kids write their christmas wishes.

Inside the card, Snowy Postbox

And at last...here's my card, late again! Just manged to get it posted seconds before midnight on Monday! I've used "Letters Home" I've 3D-ed her, just a little bit, coloured her with ProMarkers, then used some of the post cards (made them very small) also supplied by Stitchy, along with some punched out stamp shapes to frame the image..

Now let's see what you've come up with!  Any crafty project is acceptable as usual.  Before you link up please add a link to Quirky Crafts Challenges to your post - or you will not be able to enter, then please add a link to your blog post or your online photo gallery, SCS etc. using the button or link below.
