One from the archives of 2014 in the canals of Amsterdam, not one and a half meters distance, but a packed boat full of joy.

The heat is still on here, records of temperatures are broken every day.

One of the archives of 2013, this is not Venice but Amsterdam.

I remember  this woman had her own company to cruise tourists through the canals in a gondola.

But Amsterdam has many bridges to pass... it didn't look very easy.

I was scrolling through old photos and found this one from 2013. Renovations along the canals of Amsterdam.

This one is from october 2019, it is a never ending story in old cities.

The Oudeschans with the Montelbaans tower in the background. In front the Sint Antonie Lock dating from 1602, it allows for the changing of the water in the canals of Amsterdam.

The former lockkeeper house dating from 1695 is now a restaurant.

Canal repair

The canals in Amsterdam are not well maintained over the past years. The walkways of many canals are in danger of collapsing and need to be repaired as a matter of urgency.  That is what happening here.  A link to an example of a collapsing you can see "here".
