Hat box

I like to show you the hat box I inherited of my mother. The name "Gerzon" was a welknown fashion department store in Amsterdam.

With the hat I showed you yesterday on top.

These are the hats I found inside, not all so spectacular as the wedding hat I showed you.

The hats don't fit me, my head is bigger than my mother's was, I am also not a hat wearer. But I like to keep them as a remembrance and a time picture. Anyone else has a hat box?

Hat

When my mother had died a few years ago I took her hat box home. This one she wore on my wedding day in 1970.

Here she is in the canalboat that took us to our weddinglocation. 

The hat is rather big and I have never wore it, makes me look a bit like the old Queen Beatrix I think who always wears simular ones. 

Here we are at the townhall in Amsterdam. Next month I am myself the mother of the bride !
