A good Sign

 This is the sheepfold in our village where they spend the cold winter months.

They had a nice statement outside "Total born lambs 14, everything is going well!  Spring is certainly in the air! Linking to "Signs 2"

 In our village Almere Haven we have a sheep farm. Somebody has made two artpieces of sheep you can see at the left hanging on the wall.

It is every year a joy to see the travel around natural lawn mowers busy to be seen so close by in our neighbourhood.

And in spring they take their new offspring with them.

It is" hard" work for the mums to mawn and feed the lambs aswell and  produce wool for later in the season.... :)

Shepherds

 The flock of sheep with their two female shepherds in our surroundings.

 The lawn mowing flock of sheep had arrived in our neighbourhood again.

And they brought a lot offspring with them!

Chilly

 The flock of sheep is still moving around in our village Almere Haven. Don't know they are here also during the night. At least they have a warm coat on. Linking to "Our World Tuesday"

Hot summerday

We had some hot summerdays this week. Our local flock of sheep was resting in the shadow of the trees.

Some liked to curl up against the tree.

Sheep again

It is getting monotonous but our freedom of movement is limited so I keep running into the grass-cutting flock of sheep that keeps changing places. This time they stood along the canal, well protected with trellises.

They had their lambs running around and making a lot of noice with calling their little ones.

This time I noticed  a stranger between them, a ram with big horns and the little one close to him was a ram too. I wonder if he is responsible for all this offspring!

More sheep

It is all sheep that I see at the moment. Close to our home the wandering flock of sheep had settled down in our neighbourhood. They are the natural lawnmowers in our village.

But this time they were not alone but had brought their lambs.

All working mothers who had to feed their lambs during their jobs.

But the lambs were adorable and had a lot of fun running around.

Another sign of spring at the City Farm in Almere.

We were tired of sitting home and made a bike ride in our rural neighbourhood. It was a relief to feel the wind around your head and not to think about Corona issues. We didn't meet anyone only sheep and lambs, so I think it was safe.

I am always amazed by those thin legs that can carry such a large body.

And than also wearing a huge horn on your head. But at least they have a warm wintercoat.

The sheep herd is still here mowing one field after another, 

They are kept together with a nearly invisible electric fence with a warning for passers-by.

Beeeeeeh

The sheep herd has returned to our neighbourhood to mow the grass.

Almost all fresh shaved, they were eager to start their job.

It is so nice to have them around so close between the residential houses.

Our local sheep herd is back in our village Almere Haven. They are the natural lawn mowers in our surroundings and were moved from their winter stable to the lawns recently.

I am always happy to see them unexpectedly when making a walk.

And they are happy to see me too apparently.
