Fireworks
Tonight is New Year.s Eve and the tradition here is to celebrate it with lighting fireworks at 12 o.clock midnight. This was in our backyard a few years ago.
It seems people need every year more and more fireworks.
And we have almost daylight in the middle of the night. Thanks to Covid restrictions this year fireworks are forbidden, but the Dutch don't let them tell what to do when it is a tradition and I am not sure we will not have fireworks in the sky tonight........... New Year's Eve
This was New Year's Eve in our backyard last night. In the Netherlands everyone is allowed to buy fireworks at December 31th and lighting it after midnight in the streets. Well our neighbourhood unfortunately has a lot of lovers of fireworks, it looks beautiful for a moment but the noise is terrible.
It felt we ended up in a war zone.
Our poor kitty Sofietje was frightened to death and hid in the attic behind all kind of stuff. We didn't see her for some hours, but when we went to bed she came to our bedroom and jumped on the bed for comfort and stayed there all night lying on my feet.
Now she has found peace at last in her cardboard box and is sleeping the day away.
