Sewing Again

Fabric CafĂ© has some wonderful three yard quilts...  They also sell kits...  Easy to cut out and easy to follow instructions...  This quilt had to be ready by yesterday in order to get it to the quilter...

I already had it cut out and on Saturday I started piecing...

In spite of other obligations and the studio redo I found enough time to assemble the top and have it ready on time...  Didn't get pictures of the quilt with the borders...  You can see that picture when it is delivered next month and the binding is complete...  Binding is all cut out and ready to go...

Progress

Most of the excess has been removed.  Now I have begun to organize...

I assembled two of the cube units for the cutting table...  Jason will come on the weekend to help with the ironing station and to cut the board for the cutting station.

One of the bookcases fit on that wall and the other one will go into the closet...

The design wall is in place...  Lots of room for even a large quilt...

The piecing table is still in the same place...

Now to get a quilt ready for the quilter...

New Beginnings

Still clearing out the Studio.  At least you can see the floor again.

Tomorrow I will spend another hour working toward the goal of a lovely space in which to sew.

I do have a plan just not sure it will work.

Hopefully next weekend Jason will be able to assist with the cutting table and ironing station..

Update

Spring has come and gone but here are a couple of reminders of how lovely it was.

Jean and Bill brought this lily to me several years ago and once again this year it bloomed.

This is the last lonely amaryllis to bloom,  They are along one side of the house and were lovely this year.

One outfit for Rebekah was finished.  Three more were put to one side till next year since this one is too big.

Pink sweater for those chilly mornings.

That was such fun that we made another one.

The guild is doing a block of the week during the summer using a Christmas pattern I found online.

Block two was finished.

Progress was being made on the Guild BOM.  This one I hope to finish for Jason.

A small bag was made for Helen.  Too small in fact for its intended purpose so another one will need to be made.

A soft hat was completed for Marilyn to wear in the sun while working in her garden.

Pink Flamingo quilt was finished for Alice.

And then this one done for Phyllis.

Now we are up to date on projects.
