I am still trying to remember the people on my blog roll...........  Sure do wish I had not pushed that button.....

Design Wall Monday

With the new table I am forced to rearrange the studio........... Things piled on top of things.....  All to be put away..............

Perhaps I can get all the dust bunnies out since the furniture is moving around.........

And here it is........My quilting desk...........  It is too low for most people but I am vertically challenged and it works for me......

I got the last stitches done on the nine fat quarter quilt........  All bound and ready for TJ and Daisy........  While trying to quilt this by machine I came up with the idea of the table........   Maybe I will learn to quilt on my machine after all........

What four days since Christmas?       Finally the Christmas baking is done......(not delivered yet)

One cabinet is organizes........... This is a small cabinet in the hallway.....  I did not want a corner cabinet so I opened this one into the hall and I can store dishes and they are close to the dining room.

Jean and Bill sent us a breakfast maker...........  Rebekah got English muffins and we made breakfast.....  Then we made lunch...........

Then my frugal self used the circle to cut some bread and we used that........  I like the bread best.......  Makes great grilled cheese......... Today we are going to add a slice of tomato.......

I called Jason and asked him to pick up a sheet of plywood............  When he brought it I explained what he needed to do with it.......  He started Friday afternoon and then made a list of the rest of the materials he needed.............

I cut out a template for him and he put a shelf  in to hold the machine........

Ta Da..........  We put it in the studio last night.......  It will come out again in the spring to be painted but I couldn't wait to use it................

Got the family together for dinner last night........  Made a big mess in the kitchen.....It will today to get it right again.......It was worth the effort to have all of us together.

Even the little one.........  He was unhappy because he couldn't have ham and sweet potatoes with the rest of us........

We had a lovely meal......

And good fellowship.......  All was merry and bright..............

I like fine dining......  Perhaps we should do it more often...............

  I found two kits on sale that I have liked for some time........  Rebekah is going to stitch  them for me.........

Now off to do a bit of kitchen blessing..... Time for me to start running things around here such as the dishwasher, washing machine, and other appliances..........

Merry Christmas

Well, we made it this far..........  Yesterday was filled with people dropping in and UPS and the Mail Person bringing the last minute gifts that were ordered.......

For Lem this year I got an Air Desk...........  You can learn all about them HERE..............

I chose the tall one.......  You never know what will happen in the future and I wanted to cover all of my bases......I also got the one with three shelves............One for his coffee cup, one for the computer, and one for the tv remote.............Or anything else he places there..............

He says that he is getting used to it and so far enjoys using his Air Desk...........

I also managed to eliminate my blog list..........  Not sure how I did that and I am not too happy about it.....

I suppose I will spend the next year repopulating it.................

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD DAY.

Enjoying the day............

As the holiday approaches I am getting some things ready to sit and sew..........

I get a mini quilt from Temecula Quilt Company each month..........  I have been getting them for several years now..........  I have never made one...................

Thought it would be a good idea to start one now and try to do two each month.........  Hmmm..... That would give me 24 mini quilts by this time next year.............  We shall see.......

I am also in the middle of The Great Cookie Plan.............  All lined up on the counter and ready to mix......

(that was several days ago......  all but two batches have been baked and after they are done I hope to get the plates assembled to give to neighbors..........

This is the recipe I used for all but the lemon cookies......  I did red velvet cake mix with white chocolate,
white cake mix with green food coloring and mint flavoring, butter pecan cake mix with pecans and of course the chocolate cake mix with chocolate chips.........

Below it the recipe for the lemon cookies.............  Lem ate cookies the entire time I baked them........

Getting Ready

Yes, I know that Christmas is just a heartbeat away but I am still getting ready.........

Rebekah and I assembled these cups for friends and added a little bag of cookies like the ones on the table for the guild..........

A dear friend gave me a wee gift that I liked so much that I made some for friends..................

How good it is to have Rebekah here to help.........  She is getting stronger each day but is still in a lot of discomfort............

Design Wall Monday

TA DA Here it is...........This is my guild challenge...............  On Wednesday my guild will have their Christmas Party here...........  Rebekah and I have been decorating and decorating and decorating......

Tomorrow we do the final clean and the luncheon is on Wednesday................

I found this quilt pattern HERE.....................

Last week I re-discovered it while looking for something else............While upstairs getting decorations I also found my box of fat quarters and then the penny dropped.................No it isn't the loveliest quilt BUT.....  Those were fat quarters just languishing in a box and it only took nine of them and I put this top together by sewing for 10 minutes a day for a week..........  There is enough left for a pieced binding......I can use it to  practice machine quilting........  A great all around utility quilt..........

Update

Rebekah is with us now while she continues to heal..........  It was good to have Daisy and TJ with us as we got to know them better and they have bonded with Wade much more.

Here they are.........  You can see that TJ is still on guard.  After all Rebekah might need protecting from something.......

Now when we let them out Daisy heads for the little strip of woods across the street...........  Wade Hamilton ambles along behind...........  Sunday while she was chasing a squirrel Wade found something in the ditch that he had to rub his face in............  The picture does not do it justice.......  And he smelled..........

This is what happens to dogs that roll in smelly things their owners don't like.........
