A Finish

Back from the quilters, binding attached, ready to mail......

Took the quilt and other items to the post office......  Right now they are finding their way to their destination and should arrive by Friday............

Now to get my ornament gifts finished.......  That deadline is Nov 29..........

The last deadline for this year is December 6...........  Hopefully I will make it.........

Opps, Different Day

I know this is Design Wall Monday but my design wall is empty.......  I have been industriously knitting in order to finish a baby gift.......  Here I have the Blanket Buddy, a sweet bib and a car seat blanket......

All made out of Daisy, a Plymouth Yarn........

Now waiting for the quilt to arrive so that I can add the binding.....  Then this will be mailed.....Hurray...

Getting Closer

Here it is.......  Ready (almost) to hand over to the owner......  I still need to attach the small squares but I am waiting for Georgina to approve the placement.....  I am hoping to find someone to embroider a label for the bottom border....

Still needs layering, quilting and binding but this is a step closer to complete.....

Next up is to complete the knitted angels for Christmas.........

Ten are complete and I am hoping to make it an even dozen but I doubt I will have time......  Maybe next year..... I was going to add a link for acquiring the book but it must be out of print.  Amazon has one for $44.00 dollars....... Whew........

Knitting Addiction & An Almost Finished.....

I signed up for the Keepsake Quilts BOM of little quilts to go in the stand....  Stand was included.

I had the urge to applique so stopped mid LIST and prepped it....... 

Baby things entered so it was temporarily abandoned.........  Picked it up after the last stitch was completed on baby gifts and now it is ready to layer and quilt..........  Oh Happy Day!!!

There isn't a knitting shop in my area and sometimes you need to feel the yarn before you buy it.......

A company in Kitty Hawk, NC has outfitted a truck with lots of goodies and travels within a three hour radius.........

Fortunately for me that included Greenville, NC which is only 15 miles away.........

Lem and I planned an adventure for yesterday.......  We went to JoAnn Fabrics for some necessities to complete the upcoming project.......  More on that later.......

Then off we went to find the knit bus.......

First I found some soft cuddly yarn to make this Bunny Buddy......  Isn't it delightful....

Saw this purse and had to have one for me.........

Always sock yarn finds its way into my bag.......  I have enough already but what is two more pairs?

This sweetie sweater caught my eye....  Must make one for our new addition.

Pattern and yarn for a car seat blanket....... 

For me this pattern and yarn for a cowl......... 

Fingerless mittens for Rebekah.....

Last of all three more skeins to go with the three I already have......  I found that two skeins makes Elizabeth Zimmerman's surprise jacket and hat with wee mittens to match......  Three more sweater sets in my future.........

Almost Finished

Blankets are completed and one teddy bear done...........

The burp pads are completed and two more bears need to be stuffed.......  I will be so glad to put this project in the finished column.

Where Were We????

Much has happened since I posted last that interfered with my stitching........... 

Just prior to my interruption I spotted this in the stack of projects........  I liked it when I first saw it and knew I wanted to make it...........

I started putting fabrics in a basket just for this project........  that was before we moved in 2011.....

Decided to select the fabrics and get this project in the fast track......

Selections made but I am short a few selections......  Maybe I will get upstairs and find the last few fabrics..........

I got the plants in before the weather turned cold.......  This sat on the front porch all summer.....  It must have liked it there because it bloomed several times.........  I finally got a picture of the blooms.......

Then the deadline for the birth of several babies arrived.......... 

This pattern is Elizabeth Zimmerman's Magic sweater.....  It was a joy to knit.....  Made a set of mittens and a cloth ball for a neighbor's coming grandson..... 

One of the Knit Witz had a grandson arrive several weeks ago..........  I made this set for her......  Added a magic cap to this set........  I am going to let her make her own ball......

For my sisters great grandson I made his first hoodie.........  Using fabric from his quilt I also made a cloth ball......

Now I am attempting to finish the flannel blankets and burp pads to add to these gift sets.........

Started another baby sweater yesterday while waiting at the Dr.'s office.....  Makes a break from the ubiquitous sock........

I might even get these things completed and wrapped and mailed.......  Imagine......

Lem's clavicle has not healed.  Rebekah's sodium is out of balance again....  Prayers are requested for both.........
