On the Needles Friday

One sock done and the second sock begun..............This is the easy pattern that is kept in my sock sack for working on while we have guest.............

The third Skype Sock is done...........  This pair will be for Kim...........

Hat number three is complete and Hat four is on the needles.........  This pattern uses all sizes of yarn and is easy to knit.........  A great way to use up odd bits of yarn........

I also got one of the purses from last week lined and ready to use........  I hope to finish the second one today........

Two tops completed this week...........

On the Needles Friday

You might remember these bags from several months ago..........  I finally got the I-Cord sewn on and took them to Marilyn's to wash..........  Her machine has an agitator and mine does not............

This is what they look like now...............  I still need to line them and add a button to the front.......  We are  all (Tuesday Sewing Society) planning to make one in January............  

This is what is on the needle today.........  I finished the solid blue for Bill, and the blue glimmer for Jean.......  Now I am working on the purple glimmer for Kim...... One sock down and two to go........  I am trying to use up the yarn I have on hand.....  When this last sock is finished I will have three pairs done.......  Of course in the last two weeks I did pick up more yarn for three more pairs......  It must be an obsession.......

This was supposed to be my post for last week but my computer was out of commission so I am behind on many things........

I am finally getting the quitl together.....  I am thinking of putting Prairie Points on this one.......  We shall see....

Missing Weeks...........

Life has been busy these days...............

Friends have come by to sit on the porch and enjoy talking.............

Marilyn hosted a Sit and Stitch............

While we were there she let me use her washer to felt my knitted purses.........  Now they need to be lined.....

She served a delicious lunch and even fixed a plate for me to take home to Lem.....

We also went to Danville,Virginia to see my siblings..................(Left to right... Kathy, my brother James, my sister Jean and her husband Bill......

My brother announced that he and Kathy will get married in December.........  We are so delighted.....

Getting Together......

We decided to start getting together once a week to knit or quilt or whatever.......  More or less just to get together and talk...........

This past Wednesday a few of us met at Georgina's...........

She if course put out a real spread of treats to keep us going while we played.........

Even put out china cups.......

And all kinds of good for you food..........

We played for three hours and had a grand time..........  Next week will be at Marilyn's.............

On The Needles Friday

Judy at Patchwork Times hosts On The Needles Friday each week........  

I am still working on my Skype sock......  I have been too tired at night to do much knitting............

I have also started another piece of beaded lace for the Christmas ornaments.................

Maybe by next week I will have more done.............

I finally got to the studio this morning.........  I am working on things for the church bazaar in September......

Today I got out my pattern for Lazy Girl's Wonder Wallet............  Being fat quarter friendly you can get two wallets from each fat quarter..........  A search upstairs and I found some fat quarters to use.......

This is just a few of the choices..............

I got the fabric pressed and cut.......

Then stitched the first step and pressed them for the next part........

Since they have to be top-stitched I have them divided into stacks that can use the same thread to save time on that part............

I baked 2 dozen banana nut muffins to use up some bananas that were going bad, vacuumed the house and mopped the kitchen.........

Now time to head back to the kitchen and get dinner on the table..............
