guest room

Dominic and Caitlin were going to stay the night at Adrianna's last night, but when I told them about the construction and that I would just sleep on the boat and they could have the guest room, they decided to just drive up in the morning today. They arrived around 10 and we wanted to go kayaking. They rented us kayaks for 2 hrs. We paddled around the Huntington Harbor. I wasn't that good at it. Mine kept turning in circles, but it was fun. I took them out to Adrianna's boat and we saw the pirate house. Fish were flying up in the air. Caitlin was praying they didn't land in her boat. We passed by this one house that had a sign no trespassing near their slide. She wanted Dominic to go down it since he had his trunks on. He wouldn't. He's a rule follower. LOL (unlike his mom) So she got up on the slide in her clothes and attempted to go down. She kept getting stuck. To her defense, if there was water going, I'm sure she would have been able to go down and land in the water. Unfortunately the 2 times she attempted, she got stuck at the very bottom. I tried to get video, but I kept drifting. It was so funny. I love her adventurous spirit. After our 2 hours were up, we headed to Trader Joes, got some food and hit the beach. We played in the water for a while and laid out for a few hours. I think we were at the beach almost 6 hours. I was already toasted from the day before, but I didn't care. I was having a great time. We went back to the house. They took us out on the boat for a couple of hours out to the ocean. Paul let them sit out on the front of the boat. I'm pretty sure it was the bough of the boat. It was extremely romantic. We toured the harbor after. So peaceful. Adrianna is truly blessed, and I'm thankful that she has let me come down when I need recharging. I decided to go spend the night with the kids, so we said our goodbyes and thanked them and headed to Redlands. Another great day.
