I love summer, but i'm over the heat. Here it is 5:30 and its still 104 out. We are like 15 degrees above normal. We are about to start October. This is ridiculous. Wearing masks in this heat sucks.

 I was looking on Facebook market and I found this little coffee table. He had it listed at $100, but I offered him $60 and he took it. I can't wait to add it to my room. I'm thinking the Raider tree will go on this. I love it. 

Side note: Austin texts us today and says he had a wild lunch experience. This was his story: 

I was having a picnic with Megan and there was this dude talking really loud just past us a bit. We thought he was on his phone. But he was talking to himself. Wasn't bothering us so we didn't do anything. Maybe 20 min later he came kinda close to us and said. I sent someone into that building to find an entomologist but they never made it back out. Will you go in for me? Megan asked "you want a bug scientist?" and the guy goes, "wow, not a lot of people know what that is, you might save my life" then he continued and said "I have nanite infused red parasites in me, that's why I'm not coming closer. I'm saving your life!" we told him we would go in and ask. Then he said could we leave him some of our food because the "nanite infused red parasites only let me maintain 15% of the energy that I consume. The more sugar the better. If I eat something you will save my life" we told him he could have some fruit we had. Then he said "leave it in the middle of the street, don't come near me!" so we did. Then we went into the building and looked for some like admins. And we found this woman and told her what happened. She asked us to wait while she called campus security. And while on the phone she goes," should I ask the two ladies to stay here" and I know she just miss spoke but I thought it was funny. I tried not to laugh because she was still on the phone then Megan busted out laughing and the woman realized what she said and I started laughing.

 Austin just submitted for graduation.  He should be graduating in Dec with his masters in mechanical engineering.  He still needs to pass his classes... which he'll do. Write and defend his thesis....... which will be great and then hopefully walk.  Dominic already was cheated out of his ceremony... let's hope Austin isn't.

Big Dogs Draft house....Packers Game

 How exciting to wake up and be part of the first tailgating at Allegiant Stadium. We all met up at 7 am at Tailgate Tavern to pile into 2 vehicles. There were 10 of us. We were 7th and 8th cars inline to get in. They only let in 45 cars.  We got a great spot near the front. That was super cool. We could see the screen pretty good. They had a DJ out there and we were all given our little goodie bags as we drove in. Hamburgers, popcorn, water, chips, dips, collectors cups and collector insulated bag. They had the areas sectioned off by cattle guards. every other spot we could park. It was pretty cool. I hope they will do this again. We are the guinea pigs. They took everyones temps. They had a lot of police presence there. Raider Fans get a bad rap. There are some unruly fans out there. We all had to have our masks on when walking back and forth between the bathrooms, which for porta potties, were pretty nice. We were not allowed to mingle with other fans. It was a different vibe than what we are use to in Oakland. But it was fun. We drank, ate, screamed at the screens, danced, screamed some more. We were sad by the loss, but there is always next week. I owe Aly lunch sometime this week. She's a Patriots fan and I bet her lunch that we would win. Guess I have to pay up now. I'm really glad I decided to do this. Its a memory I will never forget. Can't wait until we can have some real bad ass tailgates. After all the whoop la, I came home and took a nap. I had promised Nanette I would go watch her Packers play at 5. I showed up a little late because I had to go to the store first. Steve, Jesse and Adrian were there. We laughed so much. The game was pretty good. They won.

Charleston not Flamingo lol

 Paige asked me to come to her school today to get my eyelashes done. She told me Flamingo and Decatur. So I'm driving all around but can't find it. I put it into the gps and it says Charleston and Decatur. She apologized....she's use to being on that side of town near the Palms. So I was about 45 min late since I had to now back track. Once I got there she started on my lashes. She was having a little bit of a problem since this was her first time ever doing them and my lashes are blonde. So it was taking extra long. We took a little break and I picked up lunch at Robertos. We ate really quick and got back at it. She didn't finish. After 4 hours she's about 3/4 done. I will go back next Sat early and get them finished. While I was there Nanette text me saying no one showed up to help her move. I said as soon as I was done I would go help. Steve did finally show up just before I did. The freaky thing is the house she is moving into is the exact same floor plan of my moms very first house up here. I kept imagining all the times we spent there. The only difference is Nanette has no pool. Kinda cool......😊

 This just happened. I stopped by Albertson's to pick up some stuff to make chili for Sunday's Tailgate at Allegiant Stadium and I played my free play. I started off with quarters, but it was going to fast, so I switched to nickels and bam, I got a royal flush. I have not gotten a royal flush since the kids were little. That one and only one I was playing dollars and won $4,000. $400 isn't too bad for using free play. I'll take it.

 Austin found another rock on his walk to school. And from the same person....Anita. I think its pretty cool. She does some great rock art. I told my work that I would continue to work the 10 hours except on football days. Well guess what they needed me again so I had to work until 7 again. They should just change my hours 11-7. Oh well.

 The Raider organization sent out the 1st 3 home gameday programs. The 1st 2 were supposed to be pre-season which didn't happen. The 3rd was from Sept 21, 2020 1st home game of the season. I think we will be getting the rest as the season progresses. Its excited to see how much they put into their season ticket holders. I love my team. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS FOREVER!!!!!!

 We got this email today about tailgating this weekend at the stadium. A bunch of us are going to go in on it for this Sunday's game. Since there can only be 5 people per car, we got two spots. $80 a per person. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. A little pricey if you ask me, but I want to experience everything my team has to offer. So Sunday its going down at Allegiant Stadium.

I should have called off today. I felt like I had ADD. I was all jumpy and antsy all day. I could not wait until 5:00 to leave work and head over the Beer Park at the Paris Hotel and watch our first home game. We should have been sitting in our seats tonight, but Fucking Covid has pretty much ruined all of 2020. So we sit in a crowded overly expensive bar watching the game. Carr played like a new person. Taking risks we haven't seen him do in quite some time. Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs played hard. We looked good as a O line. Defense still needs some work but its only game 2 and we will only improve as the season goes on. Many people said we couldn't beat the Saints, but they came into our HOUSE and we kicked their butts. What a phenomenal game tonight. So exciting to watch. I wish it was in the stadium. My friend Daniel in El Paso, made a group chat and one of the guys in the chat said he was in Vegas and to come see meet up with him and his wife. So after leaving Beer Park, I went next door to Cabo Wabo at Planet Hollywood and met up with them. Super nice couple. Now I know at least 1 other person in the chat. Carr signed the wall at Allegiant stadium commemorating his first win there. How awesome. Today was a great day. GO RAAIIDDEERRSSSSSSSSSSS!!

What a day. I didn't get to sleep until almost 5 am, so I'm pretty tired. I told Nanette I would meet her at Big Dogs Draft House at 10, but I didn't make it there until 10:30. Its a full on Packers bar and I wore my Raiders Stuff. Its ok because my friend Robert drove in from Utah because he got eliminated from his softball tournament and was going to stay here until tomorrow. I ordered Loco Moco, but it tasted nasty, so I ended up with Huevos Rancheros. That was good. Robert and I left and went to the Raider Image store at the stadium. The stadium is so pretty. We waited in line for about 1.5 hours just to get into the store. I purchased the pin set, seat belt pads and Allegiant Stadium address for the wall of my Raiders room. We came back home and watched some of the 5:00 pm game before heading out to see one of his friends. He works security near these two food trucks. The food is the bomb. He hooked me up with some shrimp tacos and Robert with shrimp fries. Those were also good. We came back here and crashed. He will drive home tomorrow because he works Tues. I tried to get him to stay for the game. But he can't. Hoping Doreen comes with him next time.
