Day 59

This was supposed to be our vacation fund, but it looks like its going to be our emergency fund instead LOL :). JK but it did come in handy yesterday when the boys wanted Wendy's for lunch. I wonder how much is really in there?

Day 58

This was sent to me from Robert. He said he was "monkeying around" on his new "second" job. He is doing home health care to try to subsidize his/our lost income. Lets hope this works.

Day 57

Today Carol and I went to Fox5 KVVU TV station. She cashed in some of her reward points so we could go and sit in the Live audience for the MORE show. They made us check our phones and cameras at the door so no picture taking. It was very interesting to see how they do a live news cast. Bill Engvall from the Blue Comedy tour was there and Al B Sure! (for those of you who listen to R&B music should remember him from the 80's singing Night and Day). At the end of the show they took a group shot of the anchors with us and Al B Sure!. They were supposed to email it to us today, but it still hasn't been received. I will post the picture as soon as we get it.

Day 56

Me and Austin made some ST. Pattys stuff to decorate our tree. Here it is. We still need to make a few more things and I will be happy with it. I used PPDU, ACY and a new cart, Hello Kitty. So that knocks another one off the list. :)

Day 55

This morning I went to get my keys out of my purse to take the boys to school. This is what I found. Yep a rubber chicken. Brandon thought it would be funny to stick it in there. HA HA. Well I take it out and next thing I know its back in my purse. Austin felt it was his turn to hide it in there. That is why I Love my boys so much. They are always doing goofy things like this.

Day 54

Day 53

Austin stayed home sick today. He's running a fever and has a sore throat/cough. I had a killer headache, which is how he started feeling the other day. So we just curled up and stayed in bed all day. I hope I don't get it.

Day 52

My Dear Sweet Friend Diana,that I have known for almost 30 yrs, came into town to visit. I love when we get to see each other. We use to love taking funny pics so this one is no exception. She made the best Italian dinner. I know the boys will be talking about it for a long time. I am sad she had to go. Hopefully we can make it so we see each other a lot more than we do.

Day 51

For those of you who followed my blog from last yr you will probably remember when our water heater went out at the beginning of Dec. Well guess what the second one went sometime last night. The bug man came to spray the garage and he said I think you have a problem. :( Well Robert had to go out and find a new water heater because the store we got the other one from is closed on the weekends. While he was gone I spent the time making more digi pages. Im almost caught up with P365 2010. YEAH.

Day 50

here is a layout I made last night since the internet was out. I used the template that Kelly made.She was so sweet to share it with me. Remember I am a beginner and I didn't have JS to help me out with this one. I did have my own superstar to help when I needed it, Brandon! I love that he's so super smart in all things.

Tonight the boys had a gig downtown at a place called The Gypsy's Den. Very cool place to hang out. I need to go back during the day and get some more pictures. When they introduced the band, they said they were The African Bombsquad. I cracked up. Now that is quite different than HOOKER. Don't know if this one is a keeper. The guys were saying it was a joke because they couldn't think of a new name.

Boy digital sure does take someone like me a long to figure out. I've been working on this one for a couple of hrs. Thank God for Jessica Sprague, because I would still be sitting here scratching my head. LOL

Day 49

I signed up for a charm swap at the upcoming Inspirations Unlimited 10. The theme is Alice in Wonderland. I don't have anything related to this theme, so I went with Carol to Viva Las Vegas Stamps and I found a tweedle Dee and tweedle dum stamp. They have so many cool stamps, but they also have a couple of cats in there and Im allergic. I could feel my throat and nose acting up. We both grabbed what we came for and left as quickly as we could.

Day 48

Today I spent most the of the day trying to work on the cart challenge. I have 4 birthdays coming up before the end of February and needed to make some cards. I got 5 cards made. I also made one for a friend that just moved into a new house. Im a very simple person, so the cards are pretty simple. I did use up 6 more cart. YEAH! I used A Childs Year, Accent Essentials, Alphalicious, Base Camp, Lifes a Beach and Tear Drop. Can I say how much easier it is to stamp cards. LOL

Day 47

Christopher and Kirstin were kind enough to rent me the Hurt Locker from the Red Box. Me and Christopher watched it today. What a good movie. I can see why its up for an Academy award for best picture and actor.

Day 46

I am really bad at taking pills. I forget all the time, so this is what I have to use to remember to take the pills I should be taking on a daily basis. (vitamin C, baby aspirin, vitamin E, and singulair).

Day 45

I forgot to post this picture. Austin is taking Spanish in school and he wrote this up for me. He didn't think I would know what it says, but I took spanish back in the day. I love him from the bottom of my heart too :)

Happy Valentines Day and Happy Chinese New Years.
We were invited to our neighbors house to celebrate Chinese New Years this yr. They had lots of great chinese food and a jump house for the kids. Their daughter won 1st place in a Hula contest and they were also celebrating that. Anyway we stayed a while and then left to go to the movies. We wanted to see Percy Jackson's The lightning Thief, but we got there too late. We ended up seeing From Paris with Love with John Travolta. It was an action packed movie. I love Travolta as a bad A$$. Script wasn't the greatest, so don't expect much acting wise.

Day 44

Not a whole lot going on here. Brandon and Robert were goofing around with this sword that we got a couple of yrs ago for Halloween. Then they went outside to clean the pool. Dominic went to a friends house, Austin was at Demo team practice and Christopher went to work. So that left poor Brandon to help out.

Day 43

A blast from the past. Austin was bored, and our XBOX isn't working at the moment. Oh now what is a kid to do. LOL Anyway he went into Dominic's closet and found our old Ninetendo 64 (dust and all) and is now going to plug it in and play it. Glad I didn't get rid of it.

Day 42

I don't know, but I was looking up into the sky on the way home from taking Austin to Karate and this just looked like 2 hands holding the sun to me. What do you think?

Day 41

What a nice day we had today. Sun was shining no rain in sight. :) I should have spent the day outside, but I didn't. I made spaghetti for the family. I use to make Ragu, before making homemade sauce. Now the kids won't eat anything but my homemade sauce. I then headed over to zumba. I love my classes.

Ok here is the recipe: Very simple.
2 Tbs olive oil
1 1/2 cups chopped onions (1 med yellow)
1 tsp minced garlic (2 cloves)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/8 tsp black pepper
2 (28 ounce)cans whole peeled tomatoes, I use diced tomatoes.
2 (15 ounce)cans tomato sauce
3 Tbs tomato paste
2 cups water
1 tsp sugar.
Heat olive oil in pot over med heat. Add onion, garlic, salt, basil, oregano and pepper and cook. stirring until soft about 5 min.
Place tomatoes in bowl and squeeze to break into small pieces. (This is why I use diced). Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, paste, water, sugar to the pot. stir well.bring to simmer cover med-high heat. lower heat to med-low and simmer uncovered for 45 min. stirring occasionally.
I add 3 lbs of ground beef and a large Jimmy Dean saugage roll. first browned then drained then added to sauce

Day 40

FREE food at Denny's between 6-2. Last yr we wanted to go, but the lines were crazy long. This yr I think it wasn't so bad because it was raining. I dropped Brandon and Dominic off at school at 7 meet Robert and Austin at Denny's and was out of there by 7:35. Dominic couldn't go because he had a test in 1st period. We tried to get them in after school, but we got there at 1:57 and they were not letting anyone else in. :( oh well.

Day 39

Groceries, need I say more :) (I'm hoping this will last us 2 weeks).

Day 38

It's SuperBowl Sunday and its the Saints vs the Colts. Every yr we watch the game and make lots of food. One day I hope to have a real Superbowl Party here. Robert gets up and makes pancakes in the shape of footballs and from there we start setting up for our game viewing. I cut back this yr on the foods we had. We made fingers/wings, ordered pizza, had a sausage dip, and artichoke dip. Veggies and chex mix to snack on. We were all rooting for the Saints except Christopher. Why does he always have to be the odd ball? The Saints won 31-17. First time in Franchise history. YEAH!!!!!

Super bowl Decorations

I used 3 carts from our challenge and made some decorations for our SuperBowl spread tomorrow. Here are the boys showing some of them. I used Sports Mania, PDDU, and Stamping.

Day 37

Today was the 1st track meet of the Flyers club track team. It was cloudy and Robert kept saying its not going to rain until after the boys finish their race. This was according to his Iphone weather tracker. Well we were totally unprepared for the rain that did come before the race even started. It was pretty fun watching the parents run for shelter and the poor kids shivering on the track. Here is Brandon, Dominic, and their friend Nick after the race. cold and wet. Day 36

I had some errands to run today on the opposite side of town. I asked if Carol wanted to come along for the ride. About a yr ago, a friend from the MB came into town but our schedules didn't work out to get together, so she left some stuff for me with another MB member. It took all this time to get my stuff. She bought this stuff at Hobby Lobby in Texas, because we don't have them here in Vegas. That was so nice of Cheryl to do. Thanks :)

Day 35

Carol and I went to see It's Complicated. What a great movie. It's nice to see movies with older leads in them instead of these young can't act actresses. :)

Day 34

ZUMBA BABY!!!!Our wonderful zumba instructor had to go and break her toe, Thanks Miche ;) so we had a sub. She kicked our butts. I usually break a sweat, but man I was drenched after this class. Can't wait until next week :)(I did not take the pic sorry its blurry) I want to be like the skinny bitch on the end. LOL

Day 33

Nothing special going on here today unless you call getting your SU order in. YEAH, I got My Digital Studio and can't wait to play with it. I also got Whimsical Words, a christmas stamp set, 2 punches.... Pinking Hearts, and scallop trim and Welcome Neighbor designer series 6x6 paper pad. Now to find a place for it all.

Day 32

Oops had to change my POTD because Dominic just got home from the Centennial Basketball game. We had the lights off in our room watching House and I couldn't tell what the heck was on his face. LOL Him and his friends wanted to show school spirit and this is how he looked.
