Ya llega San Valentín y mi amiga Gloria, que sabe que hago cupcakes muy seguido, me trajo estos hermosos pirotines de su último viaje

Saint Valentine is arriving and my friend Gloria, who knows I often make cupcakes, brought me these beautiful paper holders from her last trip

Mientras los preparaba pensé en hacer algunas fotos para sumarme a la fiesta Macro de Nika Vintage

While I was baking them I thought I could do some photos to join Macro's party at Nika Vintage

y acercarme más a estas dulzuras

and get closer to these sweeties

más dulces al cubrirlas con un poco de glasé

even sweeter after covering them with some icing sugar

Y como cupcakes =  rico té = linda taza

And as cupcakes = tasty tea = beautiful teacup

Hueveras (Parte I), otro objeto de deseo.... Egg Cups (Part I), another object of desire...

La colección que más me atrapa en este momento es la de vajilla infantil, pero no es la única que tengo. También colecciono hueveras.

La primera huevera no fue comprada sino que era de mi esposo cuando era chico y siempre me pareció un objeto precioso. Estuvo sola en casa varios años adornando la cocina hasta que en un paseo por una feria de antigüedades encontré otras que bien podían hacerle compañía y, como comprenderán los que tienen este “gen” del coleccionismo, estaba empezando un camino que no iba a poder dejar….

I also collect egg-cups.

They are little containers used for serving soft-boiled eggs within their shell, they are very common in Europe but it´s a little hard to find them here in America. But that isn´t a problem por someone with the collector gene, it’s a nice challenge!

I didn’t buy the first piece of my collection. It’s a memento of my husband’s childhood. She was alone on a kitchen shelf during some years till in one of my hunting trips I found others.
