Mi vieja máquina de coser..... My vintage sewing machine

Me encanta tener la máquina de coser de mi mamá. Que era de su mamá, que le hacía fantásticos modelos así como ella también me hacía a mí cuando yo era chica

I love having my mom's sewing machine. It was her mom's, who made ​​fantastic models for her, like she then made for me when I was a child

y cuando encontré estas viejas latas donde se guardaban los accesorios de las máquinas tuve que llevarlas a casa

and when I found these vintage sewing machine accesories tin I had to take them home

Hoy compartimos....algo que me hace sentir orgullosa..... Today we share.... Something I am proud of

  

Las chicas de "Hoy compartimos...." me convocaron para sumarme al grupo y por supuesto acepté muy contenta la invitación! Se trata de un grupo que se junta una vez al mes para postear un tema en común y desarrollarlo de la forma que cada una quiere.

The "Hoy compartimos..." team ("Today we share...") invited me to join them and of course I gladly accepted! This team gets together once a month to post on a specific topic, from a personal perspective of its own.

Esta vez el tema es "algo que me hace sentir orgullosa". Y sí, pienso enseguida en ELLOS...

porque recuerdo con emoción el día que llegó cada uno a mi vida...

porque me llenan de alegría día a día...

porque son todos distintos pero los acepto y quiero como son...

con sus mejores virtudes y también algún defecto...

y pongo todo mi cuidado para tratar de protegerlos todo lo posible...


Today's topic is "something I am proud of". And I cannot avoid thinking about THEM...

because I remember with emotion the day each of them arrived...
because they fill with joy every day of my life...
because they are all different and I accept them just as they are... 
with their best virtudes and even with some deffects...
and I do my best to take care and protect them...  

Ah! Pensaron que hablaba de mis hijos? No.... estoy hablando de estos otros tesoros...

Oh! Are you thinking I'm speaking about my children? No....I'm speaking about these treasures...

Bueno,  si hablamos en serio por supuesto que mis hijos son mi gran orgullo. 
Pero éste es mi espacio de recreo y donde llegué a través de mis hobbies y mis tazas y platos infantiles ocupan un lugar importante

Well, if we are talking seriously, of course my kids are my greatest pride.
But this is my break time and where I share my hobbies and my children's cups and plates have a special place among them

Algunos llegan en grupo

Some of them come in a group 

Otros están solos

Others are alone

y se abre el desafío de encontrarle compañía en algún momento

and give me the challenge of looking for company 

Muchos tienen que ver con cuentos y rimas tradicionales.

Algunos que ya conocía bien

Most of them are about stories and nursery rhymes.
Some that were very well known for me

Y otros que son nuevos para mí pero me encanta conocer

And others that are new for me but I love reading and knowing more about them

Y así fue como las TAZAS me fueron llevando a los CUENTOS

And CUPS ("TAZAS") take me to STORIES ("CUENTOS")

y a los antiguos libros de lectura

and to vintage school readers

Y también me llevaron a compartirlos y ahí nació la idea de empezar este blog, que me permitió conectarme con todas ustedes. Y eso tambíén es un orgullo ahora para mí y un placer muy grande!
Espero que les haya gustado y las invito a visitar otros "orgullos"

And they also take me to share them and so the idea of begining this blog was born, and it allowed me to connect with you all. That makes me feel very proud too and very happy!

Viejas revistas, interesantes avisos..... Old magazines, interesting ads

Ya saben que me encanta hacer decoupage con servilletas de papel

You already know that I love decoupage with paper napkins

pero a veces tanto color pastel y flores me empalaga un poco, como cuando como mucho dulce
