When it comes to me and holidays...any holiday, my motto is "It ain't over til its over." And while I realize Valentines Day is right around the corner, I just couldn't resist making this adorable Valentines Day Wreath. I puffy heart love this puffy heart wreath so much! And guess what....? It took my less than 15 minutes to make...and if you make it my way, all of the supplies are reusable.

I really needed some thing to add some sparkle - glitz and flair to our Christmas decor, but obviously there's not a lot of time left before the big day. BUT there is time for a 15 minute wreath!I decide to make this delightfully obnoxious, sparkly wreath. I bought a ton of tinsel garland at a thrift shop and was not quite sure what to do with it and suddenly it hit me - it need to be a wreath and have a big ole plaid bow...because I love mixing things that do not normally go together...and ya know what...I more than LOVE it...and I may use this as next years Christmas theme.

It's not too late to create a beautiful Halloween wreath! The Halloween bug has JUST NOW bitten me. Yep, I know Halloween is days away, but I am compelled to spook this place up! OK, it may not be too spooky, as per a 9 year old little girls request, but how about eerie? I love this black and white Halloween wreath because it is elegant, sophisticated, eerie, and is vintage inspired. For this Halloween, it is perfection!

You know what time it is? (no silly, its not hammer time - did I just give away my age?). It's time to start making Handmade Christmas Ornaments  My absolute most favorite thing to do during the holidays is make ornaments with my kids. Some times they are very cool, clever and gorgeous and we keep them forever...and sometimes we just color or write on card stock - it depends on how the day is going...seriously this happens. Last year I made a ton of  Wood Scrap Ornaments (even some ornaments with my favorite photos!) and this year I have some sweet wood JOY ornaments as part of 31 Days of Handmade Christmas Ornaments series.

I have a lot of signs in my house. I love words. I love signs. I love wood. I like to make a statement. Some of my signs are sassy. Some are simple. And, some are just pretty (if I do say so myself). I was feeling very inspired by "Fixer Upper" and Farmhouse Style decor for this sign. I love the sweet wreath used as the "O" and the rustic charm.

I try to deny it all the time, but I am wreath obsessed. My latest wreath crush is on miniature versions of this home decor favorite. I have made versions to use on signs and mostly to add a little touch of Spring greenery around the house. They are great to use on mantles, in vignettes, on tablescapes - pretty much anywhere. And they are inexpensive and simple to make!

Once upon a time I lived in a quirky beach town where I could do just about anything I wanted to my house. Now I live in a new HOA-governed community and  I cannot paint my door crazy colors or have lots of "treasures" hanging out  on my porch...so its a good thing I love wreaths...because that is one way I can always personalize my entrance. And I do love a gorgeous wreath!

Trying to capture and preserve my family's heritage is very important to me. It is also difficult. The older generation - the ones who remember World War II, The Great Depression, and beyond that, as it pertains to my family are gone and have been for a long while. So, I take what I can get, what I can find along the way, and do my best to honor and celebrate where I came from.

This Family Heirloom Wreath is one of my favorite ways to remember my family.

Yesterday I shared a Monogrammed Burlap Canvas project
And, well, once I start thinking about a project I just cannot stop myself.
I just fell in love with these small burlap canvases and the laser cut wood doilies...
and I had to make another personalized project.
That is where this wreath came in!
In the past I have made burlap canvas wreaths using old family photos and absolutely love the look, so this is a perfect addition to my home.

I am not the best gift wrapper - by a long shot!
But every year I try to come up with a fun way to embellish the Christmas gifts.
The last time I made paper flowers and I saved all of them.
(because I save everything)
I have used them over and over..but this year I wanted something different.
So for 2013 it is miniature wreaths adorned with satin ribbon or bakers twine.

A little bit ago, a lovely little package with a couple yards
of Waverly Fabric from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store  arrived on my doorstep.
This fabric sent me over the moon - gorgeous and fun and fabulous!
I had one million and one ideas for it...
and was only given one rule...Waverize It!
