Couch Potato

That is what I have been. I started this new afghan for Gracelyn's new room and I am addicted to it. So relaxing, such fun colors. I found the pattern here. http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2008/11/hexagon-crochet.html # JWS suggested that I clean out the fridge. This is Mussel Tuna Shrimp Potato Broccoli Carrot Onion Pepper Soup. See why this is not a cooking blog? It smells good though and the fridge is empty(ier) So far is is tasty. I'll let you know my thoughts on that later. And A Roaring Fire. The problem with that is, The afghan is set up in the OTHER Living Room. Hope all of you are enjoying this Christmas Season. I  know that I am getting lots of rest! That is if you don't count shoveling, bringing in firewood and an occasional sled ride with the boys!

And basic stars and vines. And now for the award for the Best Use of Turkey Leftovers. The Nominees include: Almost every household in the country. And the winner is....(shuffling around as I open the envelope) Drum Roll Please. Dum da da dum! MY HUSBAND! This soup rocks. It is literally the BEST soup I have ever eaten. Sorry Mom (who rarely reads the blog anyway) But this beats your soup! I really hope that statement does not affect the care packages of wedding soup that I receive. I am telling you THE BEST! I can't wait to be hungry again. Soup for breakfast...

I know that I read somewhere that creative people are messy....I must be the Queen then because I always have a disaster in my painting room. The projects for the challenge are all here, plus a few where the ADD kicked in and I got a whim and had to start them also. This is a little nook/loft outside our bedroom so no one really sees it too often other than us. I do a mad dash clean-up if I am having a group of people here and we are going to have to use the bathroom in our bedroom. (that also means that I have to clean that bathroom) I love this area though and when we built the addition on to our house, I knew exactly what I wanted and had this area added for me. When all the girls were here, it was my area to have peace and quiet, the loveseat was still there for small conversations, but it would not hold the whole "gang" Another almost finished project in the Procrastinator's Challenge. It just n...
