Before, No After...Yet

Image
First of all,  I have lived in this house 19 years.  That is officially the longest i have lived anywhere, ever in 63 years. I guess that meant that I never lived anywhwere long enough  to change what I had done.  I might have repainted but never had to strip my own wallpaper.  I guess I should apologize to all those people that bought houses that I had gone wallpaper crazy in over the years.    And I really loved wallpapering.    This was my last place I had wallpapered. 19 years ago, when I moved in.    I am not as young as I was then.    And this is kicking my butt.     After an entire day working on this yesterday,  and not being as far along as i thought  I would be in my mind,  I am almost too sore to go back to it this morning.    Full disclosure: My mind might think my body is a little younger than it is.     …update, tomorrow!...

What I Didn't Plan For This Week

Image
Laying tile,  which I might add that I think I am getting a little old for that work.  JWS decided to remodel a kitchen at the fairgrounds the same week  that I decided to paint over half of my house.  Let me tell you, that was not in my plans for the week.  But, I obliged.    Now... my hands hurt, my knees hurt,  my arms hurt. Not complaining, mind you,  just stating the facts.  The other thing that did not factor into this week was these adorable little preschool children that I somewhat forgot were arriving to print their own shirts.    Such cuties.,,, way better than tiling.    This is the "before" of the kitchen, the after will soon follow.    Anything has to be better than this!

Painting, Sewing, Painting, Wrapping, Painting

Remodeling, Painting, Knitting, Painting, Wrapping, A Birthday Party, A Christmas Party, A Steeler Game (on TV), A Giveaway... And don't forget Church Nursery, although the hour spent with five two-year- old children was almost the relaxing part of my weekend. More orders finished, Although when I saw these sleds that a customer brought to me, I was skeptical of their condition, this one didn't turn out too bad. Hopefully, the next two will work out as well. Yes, that is two more that need done for Christmas. Where was my head when I said, "Of course, I can paint those for you." And if anyone remembers the walker bag fiasco. They are done! All thirty of them! Again. THEY ARE DONE!!! And another order for a customer. One more of these needs finished for Christmas also. Again. I hear my mouth saying "Of course, I can paint those for you." And some wrapping. Well actually all the wrapping of everything I have bought so far. I am not quite done shop...
