The big ONE...

This little cutie just turned the big ONE and we will be celebrating today:)  I can't wait to see that sweet smile!  Connor is my Sister Cindy's first grandchild and OMG is he a cutie-pie!  It really makes me feel old when I think about his Daddy at this age:)

Just a normal day...

Sometimes it is nice to get up, have my coffee and NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE:)  That's exactly what I did yesterday!  I didn't have anywhere I had to go, so I didn't go anywhere.  That doesn't happen very often.  While this isn't newsworthy, it is what I am writing about.  Laundry done and some clutter clearing, check!  Today, a little grocery shopping and perhaps sit outside for a few of those sunny rays:)  Today, I am thankful for SO much... Family, Friends and blessings too numerous to list!  As this says, there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for!  Sometimes we just have to focus to see what is right
 in front of our eyes!

I have SO much to be thankful for in my little life!  It is going to be a great day, YES it is!  Have a blessed day my friends, sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way!

Summer shopping, awards and a musical...

Swimsuit shopping isn't one of my favorite things to do, but I needed a new one!  You have to shop early or they will replace the Summer things with Winter things:)  I found a really cute one at Belk yesterday, added to a little bottom I bought the day before with a skirt... I don't look "at all" as old as I am about to be:)

Our weather has been so nice lately!  The Sun is shining and the flowers are blooming!  I look back at posts from years past and I always show my pretty flowers:)  BUT... it is something I really enjoy!  Last year so many of us had NO hydrangea blooms!  God is blessing us this year with loads of blooms to make up for it!  I am even seeing some blue beginning to show:)

Austin got a Perfect Attendance award yesterday!  I think his Mama should have gotten an award too:)  She gets up every morning and makes him a special breakfast!  Thank you Tracy for all you do for my Grandchildren!

Day 117...

Didn't we just take the Christmas tree down?  I can't believe how fast this year is flying by!  Today is day 117, with 249 left!  I try to enjoy each day whatever it holds but I would like for the calendar to cooperate:)  

I did some shopping yesterday, renewed my car tags and enjoyed being out and about!  What is your favorite meal?  Mine is cabbage, smoked sausage and cornbread... that was what we had for dinner:)  I cooked a huge head of cabbage and we ate every single bite!  SO... what will you be doing on day 117?  Hope it is a blessed day whatever you are doing!  BIG HUGS and PRAYERS coming your way!

Mater blooms and change...

After a wonderful Church Service yesterday, I decided to get a little sun on my lily white skin:)  I sat out by the pool for about an hour, oh my it was a bright sunshiny day!  The tomatoes were showing their yellow blooms and I took a stroll thru my little garden!  Come on, I am ready for some fresh tomatoes:)  It will still be a while but this is the first step, blooms!

My husband takes a daily run along the roads around our house!  He is ALWAYS bringing home money that he finds!  He just keeps an eye out for change!  This was a really good day:)  Can you believe that he found ALL of this in one day?  Me either!

Sometimes he hits the jackpot!  Yesterday he found a crisp TWENTY DOLLAR BILL:)  Good job, keep bringing home the money:)

I worked in my closet this weekend... FINALLY, right?  I have HUGE stacks of clothes to go thru that I haven't worn in a long time!  More work to do, but it felt really good to get the job started:)  SO... have a blessed day dear friends, I am making a list of things to accomplish this week!  Sending HUGS and PRAYERS your way this morning!

Bulbs to blooms and awesome Saturday...

A gift of a little brown bag of bulbs at Christmas from a friend has turned into this!  OH MY goodness, I have been watching and waiting:)  Surprise, I finally got a bloom yesterday!  Love this pretty little bloom and more to come!

Our Saturday was spent at Austin's track meet in Athens!  It was a gorgeous day, blue skies and a light breeze!  Surrounded by loved ones watching Austin, AWESOME DAY!

What could make my heart skip a beat?  Autumn surprised the heck out of me with a visit home from College!  I had just seen her the day before but there she was... home for the weekend and she got to watch her Brother run:)  SWEET day for sure!

Busy days and prayers continue...

They keep us busy and we are not complaining!  Austin running track and Autumn playing softball:)  We have had a REALLY busy week with both of these precious Grandchildren!  LOVE watching them do what they love!

After Autumn's game yesterday, I went for a visit with my Brother Marshall and Sister-in-law June!  I sat in my favorite chair and we talked for hours!  It was a great time to chat with both of them!  June is going thru a lot right now and we ALL cherish your prayers for God to heal her completely!  When I was leaving their house yesterday, I saw this tree and had to stop for a picture!  Blue sky and puffy white clouds in the background... so pretty to me:)

Strength, bravery and LOVE...

Isn't this the truth?  When there are tough times, I seem to pull from way down deep to make it thru!  I PRAY constantly and that is where I pull my strength from:)  Jesus is my rock and on him I lean!

Home is a good place to be...

Home sweet home, it's a good place to be!  Yes, HOME and loving being here!  Up early with my hot cup of coffee, watching GMA and that's how my day started yesterday AND today:)  I got lots of chores done yesterday (boring right?) but still felt good to do the simple things!  I cleaned my car out COMPLETELY, how much junk can you collect in a vehicle!  The answer is LOTS!  Marc and I washed it and got it all fresh just like new:)  Cooked dinner and settled in for DWTS!  It is always nice to sit in my very own chair to relax for the evening!  

Some of you asked about my Sister Brenda and Sister-in-law June... Brenda is home and will have the physical therapist come today!  June is waiting on an appt with a specialist.  Please keep them both in your prayers!  Thank you!  That's it for my yesterday and today is just getting started:)  I have a feeling that it is going to be a great day, how about you!  Sending HUGS and PRAYER to your heart from mine!

Well Hi there...

Another weekend with sunshine and blue skies:)  Glorious weather for the last regular season home games!  I love to look at the Spanish moss in the trees, blowing in the wind... ahhh!

Autumn's coach received a ball signed by the team for reaching 400 wins last week!  He has really put together a great team this year and we have enjoyed watching them:)

Autumn wanted Tracy to bring Frankie and she did!  I wish I had been recording when Autumn called him in a voice that he recognized immediately:)  It was SO sweet!

After a dinner of delicious seafood, nobody was needing dessert... but we stopped for some frozen yogurt!  This is US sitting in the yogurt shop VW:)  Lovin' it!

Happy birthday to my Niece Sonia!  She was my very first NIECE:)  I love you Sonia and hope you have a wonderful day!

My Sister Brenda had her knee surgery this morning and the doctor says it was a success!  She will be in a brace to keep it stabilized for a while!  They are keeping her overnight to watch her:)  Thank you for your prayers for Brenda!

Thank you for your prayers for my Sister-in-law June also!  She has been referred to another doctor!  Please keep her in your prayers too!

It's me again Lord...

I am asking my friends and family to join me in praying for my Sister-in-law June!  She was in the ER last night for a swelling in her eyes and headaches!  She had tests run and will get a doctor appt to get the results!  PLEASE pray for her!  She is "Sister-in-law" by name but Sister in my heart!  She is an Angel on this Earth and God and her are the reason my Brother is alive today!  I pray that the Lord will lay his healing hands on our JUNE!  I love you June, and will do anything I can to help!

Gift for helping...

I just had to post a picture of these beautiful flowers from the Wedding:)  The Wedding Planner gifted me this bouquet for helping him!  After his cooler froze ALL of the wedding flowers, he had to make them ALL again before the Wedding!  It certainly wasn't his fault and I felt really bad for him!  I don't know how to make the bouquets like he did but I can carry water for the vases for the table and sweep up around his workstation:)  He was very grateful for the help and we got it all done with minutes to spare!  Thank you Dean for the beautiful gift!  It is still pretty and I am enjoying it every day!

The Newlyweds are enjoying some time at the Beach, a little fishing and I am sure lots of great food:)  I got SO much accomplished yesterday and plan to keep it going today!  While I have been out of town SO much, my suitcase just stays packed and needs to be refreshed... laundry today:)

  

My Sister Brenda is having to have another surgery on her knee this Thursday!  She fell not long after the knee replacement and damaged some of the tendons in her leg:(  She is very upset about it but I know she will bounce back quickly!  Prayers appreciated!

We took a ride...

I loved this quote and it fits me perfectly!  I really do LOVE being retired!  It is wonderful after 30 years of getting up and sitting in traffic to sit where I am on a Monday morning having my coffee and planning my day:)  SO... if you are working and looking toward the day when you won't be working anymore, that day will come:)  14 years now retired!

Back to yesterday!  We woke up, tired from our busy Saturday... drove four hours to Florence SC to watch Autumn play ball!  Their team is playing great ball and there aren't many games left!

4 more regular season games and then on to the playoffs:)  Autumn will be happy to have a break, for sure... but not just yet!

We left after winning both games, stopped for a snack!  I chose this little bag of circus peanuts:)  I was thinking of my Mama, she loved them too!

I mentioned to my Hubby that I would love some Hooters wings:)  On the way home, that's exactly what we had!  I love their wings and fries:)  YUM and there are leftovers for today!

Perfect day for a wedding...

Yesterday was the Wedding Day for my Nephew Justin!  My Sister Cindy's oldest Son, a former Marine who served two tours in Afghanistan and continues to amaze me with his service to our Church and God!  He has touched my life in more ways that you could ever know!  I LOVED the Wedding yesterday and will share some of the pictures that I took with you!
