Fresh Yard Eggs...

Isn't that the best kind of EGG?  Fresh yard eggs delivered to your door for Easter?  Oh YES... especially when they were delivered by your sweet and OH SO handsome Brother!  My Brother Leon sent me a text message yesterday morning and asked if I would like to have some fresh yard eggs for Easter?  Of COURSE!  AND he delivered them:)  I really enjoyed my early morning visit with him and can't wait to dye those eggs!  Some of them are pretty enough just like they are:)

Saturday morning Brother/Sister hugs...
I love him:)

Thanks Leon for these beautiful fresh Eggs!

Here is another SPECIAL Egg!  This is Alex's egg on the bulletin board at school!  SWEET Girl with a loving heart!
It says "Easter isn't about eggs, it is about Jesus' rise from death"

Yes, that is so true Alex!  It isn't about the eggs!

Have a blessed Easter weekend dear friends, HUGS!

Birthday fun and Nuts...

We will start this post at the end of the day!  We celebrated Avery's Birthday at IHOP for dinner!  That was her choice and we really enjoyed it:)  She read every word of her card!  SWEET GIRL!

Look at Alex's face:)  I always give the Sister of the Birthday girl a little gift too!

Autumn's College Fella was home for the weekend and we got to spend the evening with him too!

Bradley's Girlfriend Tiffany was in town and we enjoyed getting to see her!

Here is our Dinner party!  A wonderful group!  We had a great time!

Now to the beginning of the day!  Alex and Avery were in a musical called "NUTS"!  It told of trees, the sun, the rain, acorns and lots of animals.  Alex was a raindrop and Avery was a bluebird!  They both did an awesome job!

Sweet time watching them sing and dance:)  It wouldn't let me load the entire song but I wanted to share a little!

This is Avery's class:)  Singing "The Sun"!

Cute costumes... Great job Tracy!

Alex is singing her little heart out!

Then she moves up to the stage...

Here she is with one of her friends:)

Avery had a great time on her Birthday!

Their Aunt Cindy got to spend this time with us too!  They were so happy that she was there:)

Early morning on Avery's Birthday!  Pa and I sure enjoyed our day!
LONG, FUN DAY!  Beginning to END!
Have a blessed Good Friday dear friends, HUGS!

Come on BABY...

The dogwoods in my yard are always blooming on Easter!  I decided to check on them yesterday to see if they are gonna make it!  Here is a tiny bud:)  Isn't it cute?  I am just not sure if they are gonna open this year before Easter!  Just a few more days to squeeze out some blooms!
Come on BABY!

And this is what they looked like LAST year on March 26, 2012!  Weren't they beautiful?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
AND I am re-posting a dogwood post which was also a re-post shown below...
Oh how I love the dogwoods! They always bloom at Easter and this year the blooms are big and beautiful! I took a walk up my driveway and made some pictures of my gorgeous dogwoods. They are peppered throughout the woods and I am always amazed at their beauty. I posted the legend of the dogwood last year and it is worthy of a re-post!

The Legend
of the Dogwood Tree

When Christ was on earth,
The dogwood grew to a
Towering size with lovely hue.
Its branches were strong and interwoven
And for Christ's cross Its timbers were chosen.
Being distressed at the use of this wood,

Christ made a promise Which still holds good:

"Not ever again shall the dogwood grow

To be large enough for such a tree,

And so slender and twisted
It shall always be with cross-shaped
Blossoms for all to see.
The petals shall have bloodstains

Marked in brown and in the
Blossom's center a thorny crown.

All who see it will think of Me,
Nailed to a cross from the dogwood tree.

Protected and cherished this tree shall be
A reflection to all of my agony."
