Unpacking, hanging pictures and a ballgame!

I didn't go to Church Sunday morning and really missed it!  I helped my Sister straighten out things at the new house!  We got so much done, I hung a few pictures (which makes it feel like home to me) and left for a 3PM practice game for Autumn! 

It was great to be at the ballfield!  We LOVE it!  Autumn's fella, Justin was there along with his Mother, little brother and cousin! 

There is something about being at the ballfield that just makes me sooooo happy!  I remember when Tracy played as a little girl, Autumn and Austin both starting out as little ones AND... ALEX is playing this year too! 

OMG, I can't wait to see her in a little uniform!  We have such a busy season ahead but we will enjoy it, all of it! 

Perhaps next year AVERY?

I missed Austin's basketball game Saturday and what a game I missed!  His team is STILL undefeated and they won 17 to 4!  Great job Austin, not just Saturday... but ALL Season!  He is already practicing baseball while finishing up basketball! 

After dinner last night, I walked up to take a bag to the garbage can and the sky was FULL of stars!  It was perfect weather to be outside and I took a deep breath, just thankful for all things in my life!  Love you all!  Big hugs, have a blessed week! 

A little hard work never hurt anybody!

Hmmmm, what about a LOT of hard work?  Doesn't hurt but sure can make you sore:)  We worked again yesterday at my Sister's house unpacking and organizing!  We made a huge dent in getting the new house looking like a home!  Some of you have asked about my Sister and the move!  It is my oldest Sister, Barbara and her husband Jerry!  They lived in a wonderful home on the river that flooded, destroying it!  We cleaned it, cleared it and made it look brand new:)  BUT because it was in a flood zone, we were encouraged to move so as not to go thru that again!  And we did, found a cute little all-brick house similar in look and feel as the old house! 

That is the story of why we are moving her!  I will be doing more work over there today!  Hope you have a most blessed Sunday!  BIG HUGS!

We did it!

We moved my Sister's ENTIRE house in one day!  ALL of it... including washer, dryer, refrigerator, furniture and everything else!  Just goes to show what working as a team can do:)  We had trailers and trucks, and made trip after trip and about 8PM last night unloaded the last of it!  I know there are many sore muscles and maybe a few pains this morning but those will remind us of a job well done, working together for someone who deserves it!

Thanks to Tracy and Derek for the use of this ginormous trailer!  It made a huge difference:)

Surprise in my mailbox!

I had a surprise in my mailbox from my sweet friend, SHARON!  I won a giveaway and would you look at what I got?  Even the package was pretty!

AND this is what was inside!  A hand-beaded GORGEOUS bracelet!  OH MY GOODNESS, thank you so much Sharon for this most beautiful prize!  I can't wait to wear it:)

My day was spent with my sweet Sister, getting her ready to move and running around doing some errands!  Same for today plus moving her!  Love you all, have a blessed day!  HUGS!

There's an APP for that!

First thing Wednesday, off to take the kids to school!  It is a joyous ride, chatting and listening to them!  Back home and off to the Library, checked out a nice stack of books on gardening, vacations and WWII!  Then across the street to get me some exercise!  It was a beautiful day, a small breeze and started walking!  We have a wonderful walking trail!  My IPhone has an APP for tracking your steps called Pedometer!  So with IPhone in hand and Pedometer turned on, off I went!  Here is my result for the walk!

We had dinner with my Step-Daughter, Marcy and SIL Mike, last night for her Birthday!  Sorry no pictures, we ate at Longhorn and it was wonderful!  I have a busy few days ahead helping my Sister get moved!  Just in case I am missing in action, you'll know why:)

Shopping for trash cans... yep boring day:)

This post is about trashcans!  It is boring and ridiculous but what I did yesterday WAS boring and ridiculous:)

This trash can is at Bed Bath and Beyond!  It is perfect in every way EXCEPT the PRICE!  Is is SOOOO expensive!  Heck, all I am gonna do is put garbage in it!  I refuse to pay that much!

So, I shopped at a number of places and still don't have one!  The one I have now, has been used for 10-12 years but is now broken and needs to be replaced!  This one isn't as much as the first one and it is a possibility!

I decided to check at Walmart and it has 656 trashcans!  Dang, I am seriously tired of looking at ALL of those cans!  Do you know that there are cans you just wave your hand and it opens... I don't have much luck with the automatic towels holders, so that isn't the one:)

Gotta get me some coffee and run the kids to school!  If you would like more discussion on the trashcan just let me know, hehe!

Not too exciting Monday!

I got a lot done, not that it was very exciting but it is what it is:)  I cleaned toilets, sinks and mirrors... all of them!  I dusted the walls and crown molding, and I hung some things that needed hanging!  Me and this fluffy green duster went room to room getting those dust bunnies from way up high!

The handle stretches pretty long and reaches the ceiling fan blades and lots of other places that my little 5' self can't reach:)

My Niece, Crystal gave me this sweet chalkboard for Christmas and I finally got it hung.  Now I have to buy some chalk.  Isn't it cute?  Thanks Crystal!

AND I hung this little cutie, another Hobby Lobby steal!

So, while it wasn't an exciting day... it was productive!  I could use a bunch of days like this where I stay busy ALL day getting things done!  I have grocery shopping today and perhaps more cleaning!

The sky, pretty flowers and little kids make me smile!

My Sunday morning was busy, from the time my feet hit the floor!  We had lunch after Church and even though I wasn't going to stay... decided to stay anyway!  I made brownies, pasta salad and green beans!  I enjoyed it so much!  Home to watch the Daytona 500 and rest in my favorite chair!  Alex and Avery came for a short visit and we played outside!

Alex and Avery like to take the key to the little house and pretend like it is their house...  Isn't pretending fun?

They wanted me to pretend I was their Mom:)  Alex asked me if there was any food out there, I said no... so we left to pretend somewhere else!

And they ran and played and entertained me:)  They said that the walkway was part of the playground!
