What's in your purse?

My sweet friend Erin, at "The Queen of Clearanceposted her purse and contents and asked what's in our purses!  I must say, Erin's purse is stylish and so are the contents!  I accepted the challenge and will be showing you WHAT'S in MY purse:)  It isn't pretty... but I will show you anyway!  Erin's purse is called Jessica because it is a Jessica Simpson purse!  Let's just say mine will be called... Cracker Barrel:)  Yes, I bought it at the Cracker Barrel!  While it is cute and I get lots of compliments on it, it is a booger to tote!  Hurts my arm :(  But it IS my Summer purse!

These are the contents, ALL of them!  Perhaps IF I would lighten the load, it wouldn't hurt so bad to tote it!

Contents include cheap Sunglasses, blistex, lipstick, my gift card holder from Kelly, my new flat wallet purse inside my purse, chopsticks... what?  yep, chopsticks:)

Reading glasses, watermelon chewing gum, wallet... yep another one...

My card case that my Brother Marshall gave me several years ago on my Birthday (the brown one), another card case and a sharpie!

And a pile of tissues, napkins, receipts, possibly some coupons AND a clothespin:)

And my MOST important item, my lip case!  Another gift:)  Can you tell I have used it... look at how it has worn!

Essentials in this little case, Blistex (TWO kinds), lipstick, lip liner (TWO kinds), lip gloss and eye liner (just in case I forget to put it on)!

And that is it... my purse and it's contents!  That was kinda fun Erin, except for the fact that all of this stuff is still on my dining room table:)  Thanks for the inspiration to clean out my purse!

I had soooo much fun yesterday shopping with my Birthday gift card from Suzanne,  coupons at Kohl's and JCPenney's!  FUN!!!!!

Off to Church to pray for my Marine Nephew, Justin!  I pray for him ALWAYS but it seems like there is a direct line while praying at Church:)

Hope you all have a MIGHTY blessed Sunday!  BIG HUGS and much LOVE!

We can fill a room OR a patio!

This is my Aunt, my Mama's Baby Sister!  Her name is Mattie Lou, she prefers to be called Lou and many of us call her "Foo Foo"!  She was really close to my Mama and really good to my Daddy after my Mama passed away!  She never misses a Family gathering and is always there when we celebrate Birthdays!  We had a wonderful lunch yesterday at Mellow Mushroom to celebrate her Birthday!  She REALLY enjoyed her lunch, the hugs and the gifts!  Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate!

You know I am gonna get a group photo!  Here is the picture with my niece Regina in it and ME taking the picture...

And here is the picture with Me in it and Regina taking the picture!  Most of the time I snag an unsuspecting waitress to take the picture but there just weren't any close by!  My Sister-in-law, June managed to escape without being in the picture:(  My Aunt was tired of the picture taking and went right back to checking out her gifts!

SO, it seems like only yesterday that we celebrated her birthday last year!  Darnit time sure flies by, doesn't it?  I love sharing time with family, NUTTIN better!  Happy days!

Have a blessed day my friends!  Hope you are enjoying some special time with those you love!  BIG HUGS!

Praying for Justin, he'll be in these pictures next year:)  Yippppppeeeee!

Simple beauty, memories and work!

Well, it is Friday morning... I am up and at 'em sipping coffee:)  I took this picture yesterday of my hen and bitties and the tiny pink flowers!  My Mama passed some of the hen and bitties down to me before she left this earth for her heavenly home!  She has been gone almost 23 years!  It is hard to believe that it has been that long!  I miss her always and dream about her often!  The hen and bitties just keep on multiplying!  The more you give away, the more they multiply:)

Thanks, Mama!

I got so much done yesterday with my organizing project!  SO much more to do to finish!  I have loads of baskets, do you have anything that you just can't pass up when they are on clearance?  Baskets, that's one of my weakness and I have ALL of them in one place today!  That was one of my goals with the clean-up!  I have ALL of the aprons together (I LOVE vintage aprons), all of the hankies together (I LOVE vintage hankies) etc... hmmmm I am beginning to see the problem:)  Anyway, it feels good to get some of these things together instead of here and there!

I hope you are having a great Friday morning!  We are having lunch today for my Aunt's Birthday!  Fun with the family!  Have a blessed day and remember my Nephew Justin when you pray!  HUGS!

Guardian Angels are watching over you!
I love you Justin!  Stay safe!

Too Lazy to Look!

When I saw this sign, it made me want to get organized because I hate to look for things!   It seems like I spend lots of time doing just that!  I think it is in my blood... if I know I have something, I can't stop looking until I find it!  I will LOOK and LOOK and LOOK!

I am working on fixing that!  I have been pecking away at putting things where they belong and trying to remember where I put them:)  Yesterday, I did some of that, dusted places that don't get dusted very often... like the ceiling fans, the crown molding etc.  Laundry, cleaned my tub, cleaned the counters and swept the front porch!  Rare day that I stay in most all day but I enjoyed it!

We ran to Sports Authority for new running shoes for my Honey!  He wears them out every few months.  Did you know that running shoes are only good for 300-500 miles?  Yep, he runs that much:)

Well, I am just babbling on and on!  Have a blessed day my friends, HUGS!

Praying for Justin!  I love you!

It took 19 innings and I watched most of it:)

I watch the Braves, win or lose... I watch!  This game last night was LONG!  I went up to bed about 11:00 still later than usual!  Started watching this game, it was tied at 3-3 forever until 1:50...  I fell asleep just before we won, I remember "bottom of the 19th"... and had to see the outcome this morning!  Controversial play to end the game, I have watched it over and over this morning and can't tell if he was safe or not!  Umpire called him safe!

Braves beat Pirates 4-3 in 19 innings and 6-1/2 hours

By David O'Brien
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The longest game in Atlanta Braves history ended at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday on a call so controversial, it more than made up for any the Braves felt went against them earlier.

"That’s the way baseball goes," said Braves relief pitcher Scott Proctor (2-3), whose fielder's choice grounder to third with one out gave him both a win and a game-winning RBI. "I’m not saying anything else.”

The weary Braves had a 4-3 win over the Pirates that took six hours and 39 minutes, cost Atlanta its All-Star catcher for at least the next 15 days, and might have provided further impetus for Braves general manager Frank Wren to make a trade this week to strengthen the team's offense.

The game lasted 29 minutes longer than the previous longest in Atlanta history, a 19-inning game against the New York Mets on July 4, 1985 at Fulton County Stadium.

Not much planned for today, I really need to spend the day in my house doing some cleaning, and perhaps a tiny nap:)

Hope you are having a great day!  BIG HUGS!

Three boxes full of smiles!

Destination... Afghanistan!

Simmons, Simmons, Simmons... Smile, Smile, Smile!  Sweet thing about Justin is that he will share with his buddies!  They will share with him:)  Together they will make it "one day at a time"!

I shopped from Justin's "wish list" and packed two extra boxes!  Justin mentioned to me before he left that he would like some tea, like his Mama's:)  He knew which kind it was and specifically asked for that kind!  Of course he needed a tea jug, measuring cup and sugar!  That took up a good part of one box!

Packing these boxes is a tiny connection to Justin!  Knowing he will open those boxes and smile... makes me smile:)

I hope something makes you smile today!  BIG HUGS!

She knows how to lose!

This is my Sister Cindy and she is LOOKIN' GOOD!  Cindy is short like me and a few pounds on short folks looks like a lot more than on a tall person!  She has been on Weight Watchers and has lost a lot of weight!  I don't know the exact number but I know it is a lot!  She is steady pecking away at it and is certainly setting an example for the rest of us!  I am so proud of you Sis!  It's not like she makes everybody eat what she eats... she still cooks good 'ole country meals for everyone else, can you say WILLPOWER?

This was at Church yesterday!  IPhone picture, so a little blurry but she was looking mighty fine!

This was a picture in November...

This was last year when we welcomed Justin home!  Cindy said that she used food as comfort while Justin was gone... AND that she isn't going to do that THIS TIME!  Have I told you how proud I am:)

Love you Sis!  BIG HUGS to all of my bloggy friends!

Praying for Justin!  Sending more packages today:)

What a doll!

The Doll Lady!  She passed away and I happened in on her Estate Sale yesterday!  It was amazing how many dolls there were!  She obviously loved them, they all had names and I bought a few for my collection!  It was the last day of the sale and porcelain dolls were $2.00 each!  I already had a few, the little girls love to play with them:)  What I loved was looking at these dolls and thinking of this lady, doing what she loved... collecting dolls!

This was one corner of this room!  There were thousands of dolls!

And here are my purchases...

Each doll has a necklace with their name... meet Hilda!

I can't wait to see the little girl's eyes light up when they see these new dolls!  Many hours of fun ahead!

Cutting grass and a yard sale!

My Dad's place has been on the market for a while now, no takers yet BUT the grass still has to be cut!  It is a LOT of grass and thanks to my Siblings for taking turns!  Cindy and Jeff cut it last time and Marc and I cut it yesterday!  Ladies... it was WAY too hot to be on a lawn mower but when my Honey says "let's load up and go", that's exactly what I do!  I ride and he pushes, I get the better end of that deal:)  I took water in a cooler and wet cold cloths to put around our neck and face!  We got it done, cut it pretty low and it looked really nice!

I can't make too big a list of what else I did except went to a yard sale at my Aunt's house!  I bought CROKER sacks for $1.00 each:)  SCORE!

Several porcelain dolls (oops forgot to take pictures of those), I will post another day:)

I bought this cutiepie, I am gonna use it in my poolhouse for hmmmm perhaps some storage:)  May change the color or not!

Sweet chicken wire door:)

...some wooden folding pretties!

I can't decide where I am gonna put them... perhaps in my flower garden:)

That's it!  Nice day!  One of the transplanted hen and bitties looking mighty cute!  Growing a little different:)  I love different!

Happy weekend my friends!  BIG HUGS!

They make me smile... in the pink wig!

While doing some deep cleaning in the toy room, lookie what was found... the pink wig!  They all had fun wearing it!  Alex striking a pose with it on:)  I think she just might be a model!

Avery wore it for a long time!  It was so hot last night, must be a cool wig:)

Avery even wore it during a short nap in the car:)

Speaking of HOT...  it was H*O*T* at the ballfield for Autumn's first game!  We sat under the tent and that helps some but I was drenched by the time I left!  Pa stayed for the second game and I hustled off to Austin's game.  Sometimes we have to split up when there are two!

And on to Austin's game... still hot but there was some cloud cover and a little breeze!  He has been playing Summer Ball with the older boys!  They asked him to pitch last night and he did a great job!  He is a multi-talented fella!  Good at ALL sports!

Friday morning is here, not a thing going on and it feels good!  No ballgames this weekend and it feels good!  Not a single appointment, plan or place to be at a certain time and it feels good:)  I love to stay busy but a little downtime is a good thing too!  Have a blessed day!

Sunsets always make me smile:)

Gorgeous sunsets, over the ocean OR at the ballfield!  I love them all!  We were at the ballfield for Autumn's game last night when WOW... gorgeous!  I grab my phone and snap a couple of pictures!  I didn't really like sitting out in the heat last night, it was mighty hot and sticky!  But... this was my reward:)

And it quickly fell behind the trees and was gone!  Pretty sunset!

My sweetest ever Daughter emailed me this one from Austin's ballfield!  "The Apple" is what the title was!  We use that a lot!  "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree"!  She knew that if I were there, I would be taking that same picture and I did:)  Love you Punkin!  We are joined at the heart!

We had a game at 4:00 and 8:30 with some Ruby Tuesday salad bar in between:)  I cleaned yesterday and ran to the grocery store to refill our Gatorade and water supply!  When it is hot, those players are THIRSTY!

Not one single plan today!  I am gonna work in my storage room, it needs some organization!   Hope you are enjoying your morning, I AM!

Love you all, have a blessed day!  HUGS!

OH... we loved on this little baby!

We took turns loving on this little one all afternoon!  He is healthy and precious and I am thankful!

Pa, Ganky, the oldest and the youngest Grandchild!

Alex and Avery enjoying a visit with their tiny cousin!

Cindy stopped by to visit with us!  Maybree totally loved Aunt Cindy:)

Avery held Maverick for a long time!  This was the look on her face when asked if she wanted someone to take him!  She said no:)

Autumn was the one who held him the most!  Everyone else took a swim but Autumn and I stayed inside with the baby!

She EVEN changed his diaper!

AND did an excellent job!

Thanks CUZ for changing my diaper:)

What say we rest a little Cuz?

SEVEN Grandkids, heck I might have to buy a bigger sofa:)
Blessed?  Oh YES I am:)
