COURSE SYNOPSIS:

This course focuses on the psychological concepts in group behavior as well as prepares
students to become effective group member. This course explores on what happen when
people form groups, how groups function and how groups interact with other groups.

(Kursus ini memfokuskan kepada konsep-konsep psikologi dalam tingkah laku kumpulan
dan mempersiapkan pelajar untuk menjadi ahli kumpulan yang efektif. Kursus ini
meneroka keadaan yang berlaku dalam membentuk kumpulan, bagaimana sesuatu
kumpulan itu berfungsi dan bagaimana sesuatu kumpulan berinteraksi dengan kumpulan
yang lain.)

RATIONALE OF THE COURSE:

This course is design to provide the application of psychology theory of group


dynamics and current issues.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

1. Understand the psychological concepts in group dynamics.(C2).

2. Explains the process, functions and interactions of groups.(A3)

3. Demonstrate self-awareness and sensitivity towards others as a member of


groups.(TS2)

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS:

This course will enhance students' knowledge of group dynamics so as to solve the
problem in psychological resources through research and participation in Problem Based
Learning (PBL).

Reminder:
1. Students must attend all lectures, tutorials, laboratory, studio or other activities related to the course, including courses with no final
examination (perkara 4.1dan 4.3)
2. Student with attendance of less than 80% will not be allowed to sit for final examination. (perkara 4.2)
3. Perkara 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 can be waived for students who suffer from health problems and must be certified by government or UPSI
panel clinic medical officer.
4. Student who has to represent UPSI/State/Country in activity that is directed by the government or UPSI, is required to obtain a
recommendation letter from the Dean and must be approved by the Academic Affairs Division.
