This thesis explores a theology of a three-fold form of proclamation of the Word of God, in which "proclamation" is both direct (i.e., sermon and sacraments) and indirect (i.e., witness in acts of love and mission), and seeks to identify whether the life of the Church, thanks to its communicative union with Christ, is a true form of proclamation. Simply stated, communicative union is the shorthand term for the Church's and the individual believer's participation in the proclamation of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.  This project reclaims Calvin as a resource for establishing a fitting and appropriate ecclesiology that naturally participates in proclamation through union with Christ, moving from worship to the missio Dei.

The imam orators perform a very important task for society. Today, it is not enough to have a high school level education and to use only traditional methods in order to carry out this task successfully. For this reason, it is imperative for the imams to have sufficient culture in religious sciences and have a culture above the average of society in order for them to perform their duties successfully and maintain their dignity in society. In this context, one of the most necessary religious sciences is the science of hadith. In recent years, the negative propaganda made against the hadiths through the media necessitates that the imam hatipers should be better equipped in the field of hadith science. Because the hadith of Hz. Muhammed are the documents that convey the Sunnah of the our Prophet to us. Rejecting the hadiths also means rejecting the circumcisions that have been accepted for fourteen centuries. Today, community members, who are the target audience of imam orators, have easy Access to information and question everything they hear. They think more rationally and expect scientific explanations, especially in the middle age and under religious issues. Information transferred from a book by reading only does not convince this segment sufficiently. It is extremely important for imam orators to receive education at the highest level, to satisfy the target audience in terms of knowledge and culture, and to lead the society outside the mosque with their projects and activities in order to meet the expectations of the target audience. In this article, information and perceptions of imam orators about hadiths and sunnah, deficiencies and expectations were tried to be determined according to the survey answers applied to 135 imam hatip in charge of Uşak province.

The paper is analyzed the presence of Aristotelian Rhetoric in homilies by Basil of Caesarea and Gregory of Nazianzus. Only homilies regarding wealth and poverty were evaluated. Primary investigation focused on the species of Rhetoric. Secondary research focused upon the use of ancient Greek rhetorical devices within the species of Rhetoric.

There are truths that do not aging from frequent repetition, but, conversely, each time reveal a new one. "Reflections ..." of a priest Mychajlo Dymyd simply and unobtrusively accompany a Christian during a significant part of the liturgical year. Sensible, and sometimes emotional considerations of the author encourage the reflection and call for a transformation. The collection is addressed to all Christians and just to everyone.

The function of calling people towards Islam and conveying them the message of God was accomplished and a new society based on the social contract (the soul of which was لا الہ الااللہ محمد رسول اللہ ) had come into existence. The Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) appointed Mu`adh bin Jabal the Governor of Yemen in 10 AH and while seeing him off, inter alia , disclosed: O Mu`adh! Probably, you will not meet me again after this year of mine. Rather, you will pass by this mosque of mine and my grave. Hearing this Mu`adh wept.

In fact, Allah Almighty was pleased to show to his Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) the fruits of the labour of that he had put and the hardships and afflictions he had suffered at the hands of the opponents of Islam for the last over twenty years in accomplishing the Divine mission of calling mankind towards their True God, True Lord, Almighty Allah. It was thus the Divine Policy that on the occasion of Hajj the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) with representatives of all tribes of Arabs get together and there the Injunctions of Islam are made public and open evidence be taken on the fact that the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) has conveyed the Message of God which was a trust with him in the most trustworthy manner. Thus the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) made known his intention to perform the Hajj which attracted every Muslim to follow the imprints of the Prophetic feet in this behalf.

It was the 25th of Zil-Qa`adah, 10 AH/ March, 632 AD that the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) proceeded from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah towards Makkah al-Mukarramah to perform Hajj. Abu Dujanah Sa`idi or Saba` bin `Artafah Ghifari was appointed to look after the affairs at al-Madinah al-Munawwarah till the return of the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) from Hajj. A caravan of ninety thousands believers accompanied the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah and before its reaching Makkah al-Mukarramah people of other tribes and people who had come from Yemen had reached Makkah al-Mukarramah. On the Day of Hajj in the plane of `Arafat there was grand assembly of 1,24,000 believers who had come there all the way long for performance of Hajj . The Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) had taken along with him the sacrificial animals also. When they reached the place called Sarf, the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) directed that those persons who had not brought the sacrificial animals with them should come out of the Ihram of `Umrah. Hadrat `A’ishah Siddiqah was undergoing the menstrual circle, she was informed that she had performed all the rituals of Hajj which are performed by the pilgrims but that she should not circumambulate the Ka`batullah in such physic-biological condition. The Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) was riding on his camel called Qaswa’ in the plane of `Arafat and delivered the historical address and gave guiding principles to the Ummah that were the best till the Last Day and stated that He has accomplished his Prophetic and Messengership mission fully. The Qur’anic verse 5:8 was revealed on that occasion. This address is called the Farewell Address as it was the last Sermon delivered to the people during the Last Hajj of his life.

Khutabah Hajjatul-Wida` is in fact the First Human Charter which was given by the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) to the whole mankind on 9th of Zul-Hajj 10th AH./ February, 632 AD. While standing on the Jabal al-Rahmat in the Valley of `Arafat. It was a sermon so sincere and serene, yet so melodious and thought provoking and giving to mankind fundamental and guiding principles concerning the rights of humanity whereby life at all levels could be reformed and set right at individual, collective, national, international and universal level for all time s to come. This Farewell Address of the Messenger of Allah (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) has got the status of Universal Manifesto for whole mankind. As he is the Messenger of Allah and Last of all the Prophets (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) so this address is the Last Word on the subject of Human Rights.

Автори книги – головний капелан Майдану та активний його учасник, висвітлюють події Революції Гідності, як безпосередні учасники, даючи змогу читачеві перенестися і відчути дух Майдану з середини. Події представлено у духовному і суспільному вимірах. Книга стане заохоченням звертатися по досвід Майдану і збирати «каміння», щоб закласти його у фундамент нової будівлі духовно-суспільного життя.

The authors are the main chaplain of Maidan and an active participant in revolutionary events. The book shows the events of the Revolution of Dignity on the part of the participants and allows the reader to stay and feel the spirit of the Maidan from the inside. Events are presented in the spiritual and social dimensions. The book will be encouraged to turn to the experience of the Maidan and collect "stones" to lay it in the foundation of a new building of spiritual and social life.

The metaphor, seen under the theoretical clipping of the seventeenth century, is an element of discursive construction, in which the accumulation of this figure built the general meaning of the Sermon. The sermon of Blessed Sacrament, preached in Santa Engrácia in 1645, the metaphorical accumulation is the strategy to refutes the Catholical Church’s enemies, and  is the example of an allegory of political, rethorical and theologial unity of Vieira’s actions as a militant Priest.

Львівський національний університет імені Івана Франка, аспірант кафедри української літератури імені Михайла Возняка Проповіді на Різдво Кирила Транквіліона Ставровецького та Йоаникія Ґалятовського: порівняльний аналіз Кирило Транквіліон Ставровецький та Йоаникій Ґалятовськийце представники двох етапів українського бароко, раннього й зрілого і навіть їхні проповіді належать до різних типів цього жанру. Проте авторів часто ставили поруч, як це роблять зокрема Іван Франко, Мажанна Кучинська й Маргарита Корзо. Збірка проповідей Кирила Транквіліона Ставровецького «Учительне Євангеліє» (1619 р.) привертає увагу не лише через обсяг (вміщує 110 текстів), а й завдяки оригінальній манері їх написання: «Тексти Кирила своєрідний палімпсест: ознаки барокової гомілії накладаються на традиційну середньовічну модель, східні православні традиції вбирають у себе тенденції західної протестантської та католицької гомілетики» 1 . Ставровецький зумів у своїх проповідях гармонійно поєднати риси двох епох -Середньовіччя й Бароко. У проповідях Йоаникія Ґалятовського виразно переважають ознаки зрілого українського бароко (друга пол. XVII ст.). Водночас автор не нехтує спадщиною свого попередника. За спостереженнями Наталі Яковенко, він використовує праці Ставровецького 2 . До реєстру джерел Ґалятовського увійшли не лише твори отців церкви, а й дані з філософії, астрономії, історії та світу природи. Інтелектуальна обізнаність проповідника та схильність 1 Богдана Криса. У проповіді На Воскресіння Господнє автор наводить приклад чотирирівневої інтерпретації біблійного образу Єрусалиму: літеральний (буквальний) сенс належить безпосередньо до історії, тому Єрусалим тут означає юдейську столицю, де було розіп'ято Ісуса Христа; моральний сенс інтерпретації Єрусалиму означає праведну душу; в алегоричному сенсі Єрусалим -церква воююча, земна; в анагогічному (духовному) сенсі -Церква Небесна, тріумфуюча 3 [с. 171]. Однак, чи завжди він інтерпретує свої казаня на чотирьох рівнях? Загалом в кожному тексті автор вибірково використовує «потрібні» способи, створюючи певну модель тлумачення, де переважає один сенс. Інші використовує як допоміжні, як-от у проповідях на Різдво. Подібно й у Ставровецького, досліджуючи його повчання, Мажанна Кучинська виявила співіснування у них двох сенсівбуквального та алегоричного 4 . Щодо двох інших виникають питання, так само як інтерпретація Ґалятовського не завжди чотирьохсенсова. Оскільки він віддає перевагу алегоричному способу тлумачення. Відтак, в контексті аналізу та порівняння їхніх повчань на Різдво Христове розглянемо підходи обох проповідників. У Ставровецького є три проповіді на Різдво і моральне Повчання про любов до Бога, про милостиню і відречення від світу, прикладене до першої проповіді, в Ґалятовського, як завше, два. У своїх текстах проповідники інтерпретують дві іпостасі Ісуса Христа -божественну та людську в своїй єдності. тому, що передує їм -духовний сенс, який захований в окремих рядках усієї проповіді: «Нє обрѣтаєтъ бо мѣта на зємли и покоа сый, ижє оуготова ч[є]л[овѣ]кви покой вѣчный на н[є]б[ѣ]си» [арк. 65зв.] або «вѣмы яко вєліко н[є]бо и высоко ωт нас: но высоты єго и вєличєства, извѣстно ньвѣмы» [арк. 66зв.]. Інколи в тексті переплітаються два способи тлумачення. Наприклад, в Повчанні про любов, про милостиню і відречення від світу моральний сенс приховує в собі ще й духовний: «и спѣшно бѣжѣтє къ прєсвѣтломɣ сїонɣ, и н[є]б[ѣ]сномɣ новомɣ єр[уса]лімɣ, и тамо х[рист]а сп[асы]т[є]лѧ своєго оузритє, [нєоут]ємном врътєпѣ; но въ свѣтѣ нє пристɣпныа славы» [арк. 69]. Оскільки не лише дає настанови, дотримання яких у земному житті стає необхідною умовою для того, щоб досягнути Царства Божого, а й «втілює сподівання людей на потойбічне життя» 10 з Богом на Небі. Імена Христа, які Ставровецький вкладає в текст, стають символами: Цар, Бог-тіленосець, Емануїл, Лікар, Пастир Добрий, Ізбавитель, Сонце, а також, подібно до Ґалятовського, алегоричне порівняння Ісуса Христа з каменем, а Діви Марії з горою: «Камень єсть х[ристо]с ц[а]ръ вѣчной крѣпости. Гора нєсѣкомаа д[ѣ]в[и]ца рождєишаа ємманоила без моужа» [арк. 71зв.]. Завдяки таким символам увиразнюється алегоричне прочитання Святого Письма Кирила. У першому казані На Різдво Христове Йоаникій Ґалятовський апелює до подвійної сутності Христа -Сина Божого й Сина Людського та наголошує на винятковості цього поєднання. Беручи за основу біблійну цитату, автор порівнює людське тіло зі стіною: «Он стоїть він за стіною, зазирає у вікна, заглядає у ґрати» (Пісн. 2:9). Далі пояснює: «Стѣною наӡываетсѧ тѣло ч[є]л[овѣ]чеє, 10 Наталія Алексеєнко. Харків, 2001. -с. 9. 5 κотроє Х[исто]с вӡѧлъ на себе, и затым людє немогли видѣти Боӡства Х[ристо]вогω… Ѻκонцемъ и мрежею наӡываютсѧ смыслы наши, κοтрыисѧ в Тѣлѣ Х[ристо]вом знайдɣют». З цим контекстом невідривно пов'язана наступна цитата: «Горлицею наӡываетсѧ Ц[е]рκωв с[вя]таѧ, гнѣӡдомъ єсть тоежъ Тѣло Х[ристо]во, в κотором Ц[е]рκωв с[я]таѧ положила птенца своѧ» [с. 6], -тому що Бог, взявши на себе людську натуру, з'явився в іпостасі Ісуса Христа, в якій душа і тіло, Боже та людське, небесне й земне набувають досконалого поєднання. Подібними порівняннями насичена уся проповідь. Часто Ґалятовський проводить алегорії між земним та небесним, пояснюючи духовні сутності через конкретні речі, що стає центральним в його проповідницькій майстерності. Підкреслення нероздільності Божого й людського в особі Христа підсилюється порівнянням з луком і тятивою, «бо Лɣκ Тѧтивɣ на собѣ носит: такъ Б[о]ӡкаѧ в Х[рист]ѣ натɣра носитъ на собѣ натɣрɣ ч[є]л[о]в[ѣ]чɣю» [с. 11]. Інтерпретуючи Святе Письмо, автор віддає перевагу алегоричному методу, який подекуди сполучається з іншими, найчастіше з духовним, так тісно, що межі між ними стираються. Наприклад, в ексордіумі алегоричне порівняння: «д[у]ша моѧ грѣшнаѧ, бɣдєтъ тєбѣ стайнєю Вифлеємсκою, серце моє жлобом тобі бɣдєт», відображає ще й духовний сенс, бо перед тим звертання до Христа: «Прїйди днѧ инѣшнєгω до мене на помочъ… и оγчини собі въ мнѣ мешκанє» [с. 7], -вказує на апокаліптичний мотив, на цілковите духовне єднання з Богом після другого приходу Ісуса Христа. Друга проповідь на Різдво має морально-повчальний характер і помітно відрізняється від попередньої в сенсі тлумачення. Проповідник називає і обережно пояснює п'ять причин, чому Бог 6 взяв на себе не ангельську подобу, а людську. Тут Ґалятовський говорить про види гріхів, причини їх виникнення та проти якої іпостасі Бога зі Святої Трійці спрямовані: зі слабості проти Бога Отця, з невідомості проти Сина, зі злости проти Святого Духа [с. 24]. В проповіді немає притаманних автору прикладів з небіблійних джерел (історії, філософії, природничих наук тощо), натомість постійні звернення до старозавітних текстів. Цей момент повертає його до традиційного повчання і наближує до проповідницького стилю Кирила Ставровецького. Незважаючи на це, Йоаникій Ґалятовський не відрікається своєї манери тлумачення. Як в багатьох інших, в другому казані На Різдво важко відшукати буквальний спосіб. Подаючи велику кількість прямих і непрямих цитат зі Святого Письма, автор не інтерпретує в прямому значенні. Особливим у його манері тлумачення є те, що, відбираючи певні біблійні уривки, Йоаникій створює свій текст вже в іншому контексті. Очевидно, така специфіка відмежовує зміст проповіді від євангельської перикопи 11 . Цей момент відриває його від стилю інтерпретації Кирила, який зазвичай намагається передати євангельський сюжет. До прикладу, обоє авторів подають історію від Матвія про заблукалу вівцю (Мт. 18:12-13), акцентуючи, що Слово стало тілом (Ів. 1:14): «с[ы]нъ б[о]жій приходит пастыръ добрьої истинный, ωставивши девѧть десѧтъ и девѧть ωвецъ нє зблɣждудъшихъ: дєвѧть чинωвъ аггльскихъ на гωрахъ н[є]б[є]сныхъ» [арк.70зв.]; «Зна[й]шол Х[ристо]с тɣю овцɣ заблɣждшɣю, и вложилъ на рамена свои, бω вӡѧл на себе натɣрɣ» [с. 22]. Перша цитата взята з другого повчання на Різдво Кирила Ставровецького з підзаголовком Сказання від пророків та Його 11 Marzanna Kuczyńska. Ruska homiletyka XVII wieku w Rzeczypospolitej. Scrittura, liturgia e comunità: La cornice liturgica, il culto della verità e la cultura materna sono le tre dimensioni dell'omelia prese in considerazione in questo libro. Esse sono collegate da un filo rosso-la storia della salvezza-che riconduce l'omelia durante la messa a un'esperienza pasquale analoga a quella del Risorto con i discepoli di Emmaus. L'omelia, infatti, ha lo scopo di far sì che la proclamazione della Paro-la di Dio diventi, insieme con la liturgia eucaristica, «quasi un annunzio delle mirabili opere di Dio nella storia della salvezza, ossia nel mistero di Cristo».

The main purpose of the article is to determine specific traits characterizing each stage of studies of the preacher's sermons.

The idea of God is one from which contemporary philosophy, to say nothing of Western society at large, seems to have turned away from or replaced by other quests. There is however no greater and more vital subject than the idea of God. It is essential because it is difficult to see how life can have an overriding meaning if there is no God. Or, as Ivan Karamazov puts it in Dostoyevsky’s novel, if there is no God, all hell breaks loose. For philosophers and inquiring minds, God also happens to be one of the most cogent answers to the question as to why there is Being and not nothing. There is little to be gained by looking down on such an answer, which was revered as the highest Good in all cultures and epochs.

Imagine you are in a darkened room. In the room are distorted shaped sculptures, sharp objects hanging from the ceiling, piles of manure on the floor, and old furniture to stumble into. In the dark, it is possible to imagine that the room is really "O.K." But the light would reveal an ugly scene indeed; and then there could be no more pretending! Wouldn't the truth to our "eye" be a better kind of pain than that of stumbling, groping around in such a room? With the light on, everything would be exposed; the room could be navigated without harm; it could be cleaned up, and there might also be things of value and beauty in the room that could be seen and used. If the light comes on, do we welcome the truth or rush to "turn it off"; do we receive it, even though it may hurt?

The focus of this article is to spotlight the ritual frame of the canonical Friday prayer that is organized weekly around midday in places of Islamic worship in Italy. I verify how the Muslim communities in Italy, as a “cognitive minority”, use different strategies related to the performance of the Friday prayer ritual, and I analyze its continuous reframing. During the preliminary investigation I selected seventeen places of worship located in major cities and provincial towns located in the North, Central and South of Italy including Sicily. I have only considered spaces run by Sunni Arabs because they are the majority of Muslims in Italy. In these places I performed the participant observation from October 2016 to July 2017 collecting empirical data and more than a hundred sermons that I analyzed later. I also relied on interviews with preachers and people in charge of these places.

ikinci cuma gününe denk gelen hutbede îrâd ettiği Hz. Hüseyin’in şehit edilmesi ile ilgili olan
hutbesi önemlidir. İbn Nübâte, bu hutbesinde Hz. Hüseyin’in şehadetinden dolayı üzüntüsünü
dile getirmekte ve aynı şekilde Müslümanların da bu olaya üzülmeleri gerektiği üzerinde
durmaktadır.

The Study of the Scriptures involves an enormous amount of discipline for the individual believer. Many things clamor for our attention. Many things conflict with our desire to take hold of the Scriptures and accept what is written as the Word of God. Many say that there are many interpretations of the Scriptures. But they confuse translation with interpretation. Or worse yet, they confuse application with interpretation. This subjectivism into the role of final arbiter of what the Scriptures say is a real problem. It elevates the believer to be the sole, and final, arbiter of the Scriptures. It causes the believer to accept the lie of the Serpent, “You shall be as ‘god’ knowing good and evil. It also creates a problem within the church, because mysticism (the ancient heresy of Gnosticism has risen its head, again) is elevated above the Scriptures. It actually is saying that the Canon of Scripture is still open. If this is true, then what or whom is to say that the Book of Mormon, the Quran, or any other book or prophecy is not valid? Even worse, who is to say that such and such a person does NOT have the gift of prophecy?

“In all our private study of the Scriptures for personal edification we do well to remember that the first and great thing is to lay hold of the real spirit and meaning of the sacred writer. There can be no true application, and no profitable taking to ourselves of any lessons of the Bible, unless we first clearly apprehend their original meaning and reference…. The “war on terror” has brought to the fore the old debate on the role of religion in politics and international relations, a question on which Tolstoy wrote extensively during the latter part of his life. He considered Jesus to have clearly spelt out some rational moral and political rules for conduct, the most important of which was non-resistance to evil. For Tolstoy, Jesus' instructions not to resist evil, to love one's enemies and not to judge one another together imply that a sincere Christian would denounce any form of violence and warfare, and would strive to respond to (whatever gets defined as) evil with love, not force. In today's “war on terror,” therefore, Tolstoy would lament both sides' readiness to use violence to reach their aims; and he would call for Christians in particular to courageously enact the rational wisdom contained in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. As I was preparing this message about seeking God's face, I realized that I don't think many people truly understand the importance of seeking God's face. Prayer is too often viewed as talking to an invisible God that the idea of seeing His face is thought of impossible, but it is possible when we seek Him with all of our hearts, minds and souls.

Characteristics of the preaching of the Church lies in a clearly specified content, quite different from other public speeches, which is the Word of God. This form of preaching, in terms of the content being the Word of God, and in terms of the form being the word of man, can be described as the word of God in the word of man. Therefore efficiency of the Word of God depends in a sense on its human and linguistic sense. A preacher's word spoken from behind a pulpit should be very powerful. A correct emission is necessary for a beautiful liturgy, but also for a didactic work and preaching. The article, referring to the theory of preaching, point at the importance of a speech therapy in future preachers' training.
