Well...hello there! Long time no see. On Day 7 of 8 for work. To say being tired is a true understatement. Luckily, today and tomorrow will bring 4-8; only a 4 hr day. Thank goodness.
Currently linking back to Stacy.
Weather...62* and sunny. Been cooling off in the evenings. Hopefully the downslide to the fall season will be happening in September.
My Job...where did the so called part time job go too? However, with that said, the week of August 22-30 is only 29 hrs. Thank goodness. I am perfectly happy with that. I might did complain the other day. Something along the lines of, "Hey, are seriously trying to kill me? Whose bright idea is it too schedule me originally for 10 days?" Why? Because it really made me mad; lifting water all day, its a million degrees out in the warehouse (million degrees outside too), seeing others who just had like 4 days off getting weekends off, to which I have not etc. Actually, I hit the madness/cuckoo stage yesterday...I was so tired, hot and irritated. I finally just exploded at a fellow employee when he came in at 11:30 and told him to handle the frigging water, I am done. And I was. Dan (my bosses assistant), "Ok, then." Ok is right. On that thought, he was so busy himself (it was just the two of us until 11:30) he had not a clue I was STILL working water pallets.
Celebrating...nothing really. I didn't even bring home any goodies on Thursday's payday. However, since you asked here are the last two items I did bring home;
Straight out of Ireland.
Marukawa Gum from Japan. Oh and I am sorry my employer does not have a online order, oh you can order groceries, but they do not mail order.
Dealing with...a lot of stuff. Since I mainly see friends (who are former and present gv. employees, business owners etc.) and former colleagues/professors who come thru my work...I know;
-vacations
-sicknesses/death
-retirements
-job loss
-political news (before it happens)
-govern. news (before it happens)
etc.
Since the majority of folks have gleefully handed over their rights...just a saying. This pitting folks against one another is working, sadly.
Home front...(which prob. could go into above's thoughts) we have stopped searching for a home. I think I mentioned it before. Other than that, nothing to report. Just dealing with a lot of irritability on so many 'fronts'. The thought:
Which brings me to the irritability...let's just keep it real. I am quite sure a lot has to do with the stage of life I am personally in right now. Again, keeping it real.
I am so ready...in 2 weeks (whatever weeks)...I see we will have 4 weeks total of hot weather here. Then its all on the downslide, hurray. Can't wait.
Four hour days may be the answer in that challenging job. Those water cases are heavy. A four-day weekend is a lovely thought, too. Praying you get one before the month is over.
ReplyDeleteYeah....not...I have Next Tues. (8/24) and Wed. (8/25) off still no whole weekend off. However, the rest of the week are short hours, which is fine...I told Dan he better take pity on me. He did. grin. The boss man returns though tomorrow...rolling eyes. I hate to see what the following schedule looks like. sigh
DeleteHang in there.... Summer is almost over... terrible news for those of us who still care about the USA.. hopefully this will finish Biden. Sorry for the politics.
ReplyDeleteI like that saying about the emperors clothes/twitter that someone had posted. Funny, Kamala and Jen are missing now...not so funny...which was the plan all along, just saying...and those generals, all need to be lined up and taken care...just saying. We're in a mess...and don't be sorry about political us non bleeding heart dems get whats going on...and we are so powerless to do anything about it. sigh
DeleteI'm totally on your side about all this, but you know that. I think it's wise to hang on and see which way the wind blows, especially about the possible vock scene requirement with your job. I pray that won't happen.
ReplyDeleteIn other news: did y'all hear about the 0vomit B'day Bash? Over 74, so far, have come down with the Fauxi Gates Flu. Double standard can definitely leave a mark.
LOLOLOLOL
Love xx
Life is not easy so much of the time. Take care my friend!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you the woman cause they would have fired my weak self when they said I had to lift all that water! LOL! It has been so hot here but even when the temps are down in high 80's....It's very humid! I am about sick of it to be honest. I pray your week goes well dear Linda. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the sheer toil you're experiencing at work. Wonder which is worse -- the mental stress at your former place of employment, or this? "I am woman hear me roar ..." OK, but this is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteYa, our pastor took the congregation to task a little bit during her sermon yesterday. Basically, let everyone do as they feel most comfortable (eg, masks) and quit pointing fingers at one another.
Sorry for your long days in the heat with such heavy merchandise to deal with. Good golly. Glad you have a couple of short days coming up. Rest when you can!! xo
ReplyDeleteGosh, I hope you get some rest and reprieve from your schedule soon. I can't even carry one 24 bottle case of water into the house by myself...I can't imagine how you handle those pallets all day. Please take care of yourself...you are the only you you have you know...you don't come with spare parts, trust me...I've been there, and I'm paying the price now. So please take care of yourself. And yes, the country situation is a terrible mess. Praying for God to step in and put a stop to all this madness before it is too late. Only God can. Obviously our gvt. is awol. I hope you have a good rest of your week. And the new home will come in time. I understand the not looking, but when you least expect it, everything will fall into place. Blessings dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI think Biden is a replacement look alike as this one can actually read his prompter. Anyway, I am hoping good things come your way. Too hard to life things all day. I did it with milk in a cold room for years. Too too much. Praying for better.
ReplyDeleteSomehoww I missed this post! We are in the same boat as I had a bit of a meltdown at work yeaterday too. Not enough nurses, too many admissions and I'm tired of giving up family time for work. But then, I get over it and carry on - just like you!
