Valentine

My dashing Valentine!

He brightens up even the coldest day of the year;

dazzling me with his

apple-red plumage,

lifting my spirits

with his chirp and his charm.

Today, he returned to the feeder

with his girlfriend

and a Chickadee buddy.

...such a popular guy!

A Peanut-A-Day Makes the Chickadee Stay

This little chickadee (one of my favourite birds) doesn't look too happy.

He should be. I just filled up that feeder with fresh new peanuts.

Maybe he didn't want his photo taken or maybe I startled him...

It's okay, when you are as cute as he is you can get away with anything.
