fill up my mossy pond

creating mermaid-patterned,

blue-green swirls

~ perfectly wonderful ~

Glisten and Sway

Nothing beats the beauty and serenity

of tall grasses gone to seed

at this time of year

They sway in the breeze

and glisten in the light

like moving paintings

Here, There and Everywhere

As I close my garden bit by bit

cutting down perennials,

I have to be on the lookout

at all times

for adorable wooly bears.

They lounge on the leaves

of my plants

or hide in cracks

to keep warm and safe

for the winter.

They always bring a smile

to my face

when I scoop them up,

all curled in a tight furry ball,

to move them to a safer location.

Resonance

Let us be silent,

that we may hear

the whisper of the bell.

I don't know what it is about this rusty old bell...

I've had it for years and taken many pictures of it.

No matter when, regardless of the light or the weather, 

it always comes out beautifully.
