Camden's visit

Camden spent two nights with us this week for his Nana/Papa time. We shopped at Target and found this neat lego game called Monster 4. You set up the board like a cemetary and move your monsters into rows. He likes to make up the game rules as we play. Tricky, huh? Also had some fun with wood scraps and duct tape.
He told me he was a professional. I said at what? He said gymnastics - he can stand on his head longer than anyone in his family. You're the man, Camden!

Polka Dot purse

I showed the girls at Dear Jane Club how to make this purse. I wish I'd remembered to take pictures of the others - their fabric choices were great. Once we got past the marking and folding, things went together pretty well. This is a fun, little purse but difficult to explain!

Dear Jane Club

As you can see by the smiles on these faces, we have a lot of fun at DJ Club each month. Our leader, Barb, actually had a finished block this month - yea, Barb! Deb is showing me how much her applique has improved - excellent, Deb!

DJ Club isn't only about Dear Jane. Donna had two clothesline bowls to show us and we're all ready to make more of those. Denise made this beautiful quilt for her daughter - love the colors, Denise.
Check out Barb's blog at www.justsaysew.wordpress.com to see other Dear Jane blocks and fun stuff.

Silent Auction Quilt

Slapped borders and binding on this little mini quilt (12 x 12) and turned it in at guild yesterday. Hope it makes a few dollars for the guild's scholarship fund. These triangles were bonus tri's from another project. Gotta use every tiny scrap!

Cullen's visit

Cullen was about to blow a bubble when I snapped his picture. He's holding the ever-present DS. I think I should start calling him Game Boy instead of Cullen. He sure does love playing his hand-held games! He spent most of his time here with Papa since he wasn't interested in the girly stuff I like. A trip to the donut shop for breakfast and a visit to Cabellas rounded out his visit. They're all growing up too fast!

Kenna's visit

Kenna was here last week for a couple days and we enjoyed spending time alone with her. We made a trip to Sam Moon first thing to get some bling. Then we were off to JoAnn's for fabric and duct tape. Can't see the shorts we made but she's wearing them and her American Girl doll is sporting a cast made of duct tape and a new dress (Kenna's design). The duct tape was a huge hit. 40% off at JoAnn's made for hours of fun. Bet the boys will want some too!

Oops!

Trying to put this donation quilt together at bee yesterday and got a bit ahead of myself. I was so pleased that I had it done - then noticed two columns were upside down. Could have left it alone and called it art but I just couldn't stand it! Had to do a bit of frog stitching - ripit, ripit. But it's done now unless I decide to add borders. It's big enough (60 x 80) but doesn't look quite finished to me. Any comments?
