Recent finishes

Here are some of the things I've worked on in 2015:

Crazy patch using ALL of the scraps of Kaffe Fassett prints from my diamond quilt.  This was donated to Quilting for Christ and will go to a young girl in Chile who is receiving a kidney transplant from her brother.

This quilt top was started in a class with the Nickle quilts teacher last year.  It will be presented to a soldier through the Quilts of Valor program.

This quilt was made from a charm pack Jennifer gave me a couple of years ago.  The fabric line is Everything but the Kitchen Sink.  I'll save it for a special baby gift.

More Retreat Pics

Kathy F. is a speed sewer and she was really churning out the blocks.  This project will probably be a Quilt of Valor.

Carolyn finished several things, working mostly on blocks for the class she teaches at TCC.

Charlotte and Margie, don't know what they are working on but they are staying busy.

Judith, Mary and Kathy S. were pulling out the leftovers to stretch for lunch.

Plenty of veggies and fruit on Saturday when we all decided to stay another day.  Roads were too icy for travel.  Margie and Judith tried but gave up and came back for another night.

A couple of cans of soup and some V-8 stretched Margie's Italian Soup leftovers for a tasty unplanned lunch.

Glad Mary brought FOUR loaves of bread!  We teased her about it being too much but we were so happy to have it when we had to eat a couple of extra meals.

Kathy's working away on her Bargello quilt.  Carolyn was a huge help to several of us in figuring out instructions.

The cardinals were glad to see Charlotte show up to fill the bird feeders.  There was a feeding frenzy every time I looked out the kitchen windows.

Thanks again, Charlotte, for your hospitality.  We all love coming to the Farm!

Winter Retreat & Shop Hop - Thursday, Feb. 26th

Just spent a freezin' cold weekend at The Hill - Charlotte Wilson's country home - also known as The Farm.  We started off the weekend on Thursday and celebrated Kathy Ferguson's birthday.  She even brought her own cake - a delicious chocolate mousse cake!

Here's Donna Neef, Margie Horn and Judith Hicks enjoying dessert.

Carolyn Barker is sewing in the corner and Charlotte Wilson is working on her Texas embroidery blocks.

Kathy Sibley sewed up a storm and so did Mary Anderson.  As usual, I'm behind the camera.

Aunt Gracie Strips quilt top

This Aunt Gracie Strips quilt top was made from leftovers Loretta Brennan gave me when she was cleaning out her Aunt Gracie stash.  It will ...
