The Tropic of Serpents by Marie Brennan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book was fun enough that it made me want to continue reading the series but I think I liked book 1 a little better. Part of that may be due to the fact that I didn't have time to read this book in big chunks like I did the other one and these are tales that seem to thrive on momentum.

The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
It's interesting that there's a review quote from Jeffrey Eugenides on the cover as this reads similarly to some of his work. This book did start out interesting but it moved on to rambling and exhausting. I was keen on seeing how it all ended but was more relieved to just be done with it.

Sleep Soundly Every Night, Feel Fantastic Every Day: A Doctor's Guide to Solving Your Sleep Problems by Robert Rosenberg
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Not really helpful for my occasional sleep problems. Didn't really care for the quoted dialogs with patients. Felt intrusive more than informative.
I received a free ebook from netgalley.com.

Cascade by Maryanne O'Hara
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is another one of those books that I kept coming back to because of the beautiful cover art. The story was quite good. Interesting combination of dramas set against an historical background.

Really fun book. Easy reading for a metaphorical tale.
