Smile Card (CASology Week #395 mid-inspiration)

Hi everyone! :o)

I hope you're all well. It's been a while since I've posted here on my blog.

Today I'm sharing my card for CASology mid-inspiration challenge. This is also my last project as DT member for CASology. I've decided to step down from the team, as I don't find time to fulfill my duties as DT member, neither to craft as much as I did previous years. I endlessly enjoy being a mommy to my baby boy Fran and I don't want to build up any stress in my life by having commitments that I can't fulfill. Thank you Melissa and DT Ladies!! It was a wonderful experience and a great fun. You've all inspired me a lot. ♥

On September 7th, 2021, a new challenge started at CASologyThis month's cue word is One. :o)

There's still time to join the challenge, which ends on Monday, October 4th, 2021, 9 AM, CDT (UTC -5).

And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), Smile Card. :o)

Design defined:
One layer, one image, one word in a sentiment.

For my card I used stamps from BEAUTIFUL Jane's Doodles 'Old Is Gold' stamp set.

How I made my card...

I stamped a camera image and a sentiment directly on a white top folded card base.

Then I watercolored the camera with Distress Inks. I had to be very quick while coloring, as the paper I used is a cardstock paper and not watercolor paper. If I add too much color, there is no way to 'pick it' or blend it like it works on a watercolor paper. :o) I colored one part at a time, drying colored parts with heat it tool.

As a finishing touch, I drew white highlights on the camera and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements: 89 mm x 121 mm (3 1/2" x 4 3/4")

List of supplies:
  • Jane's Doodles 'Old Is Gold' stamp set
  • white cardstock paper
  • Ranger Archival Ink, Jet Black
  • Tim Holtz Distress Inks:
    • Candied Apple
    • Spiced Marmalade
    • Mustard Seed
    • Twisted Citron
    • Blueprint Sketch
    • Wilted Violet
    • Hickory Smoke
    • Black Soot
  • Unibal Signo White Pigment Ink Pen
  • Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer
  • bone folder
  • acrylic block
  • Ranger Heat it Tool
  • Da Vinci fine rounded paint brush no. 2/0
  • water
  • paper towels

Colorful Birthday Card Set - Croatian Sentiment (bastel-traum challenge #98)

Hi everyone :o)

It's time for a new challenge over at bastel-traum and our theme for the challenge #98 is Birthday. :o)

The challenge started today, February 15th, 2021, at 9 AM, CET (UTC +1) and ends on March 15th, 2021, at 8:55 AM, CET (UTC +1). Find all the details about the challenge, rules and prizes in a challenge post (here).

And here is my take on the challenge: Colorful Birthday Card Set - Croatian Sentiment. :o)

To make this card set I was inspired with two Card Sets that I created in 2019 (here and here).

I went with same design, used same products, just used a different patterned paper from Lawn Fawn 'Really Rainbow' petite paper pack.

I used a same speech bubble stamp from Jane's Doodles 'Croatian Sentiments' stamp setSretan rođendan means Happy Birthday. :o)

How I made this card set...

I stamped the speech bubble twelve times on a white cardstock paper and fussy cut them out leaving a white thin border around them. I fixed some lines with a black fine liner.

I cut a white cardstock paper and folded card bases, 3 1/4" x 3 1/4".

Then I cut patterned papers on 3" x 3" size squares.

With all parts ready, I assembled cards. I glued patterned papers on white card bases, glued some foam squares on speech bubbles and glued them on cards and the set was finished. :o)

Super easy and quick to create. :o)

Card measurements: 83 mm x 83 m(3 1/4" x 3 1/4")

List of supplies:

Good Vibes Card III (Jane's Dodles DT August Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

This is my third post today. If you missed previous two, just scroll down or follow direct links here and here. :o)

This weekend I'm sharing my Jane's Doodles spotlight projects that I made in June, July, August and September, but I didn't share them here on my blog yet. Three days ago I shared full list of projects that I'll be sharing (here).

Today I'm sharing four cards, my August spotlights. I'll share them all in separate blog posts, which are scheduled and will go live every hour.

Second card today is this CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Good Vibes Card III. It was my spotlight project for Jane's Doodles on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020.  :o)

My card is a CASE of a card I created this year in June, Good Vibes Card I (here). I already CASEd my card this summer (here) and this is my 3rd card in this Good Vibes series. :o) I went with same design, layout and used same products on all three cards, I just used different image. :o)

To make my card I used stamps from super adorable Jane's Doodles 'Summer Icons' stamp set.

How I made my card ....

I stamped a coconut drink cocktail image and a sentiment directly on a white top folded card base.

I colored a coconut shell with a Distress Ink Walnut Stain, using a paint brush and just a bit of water.

I colored a cocktail umbrella and a straw with Distress Inks and a Wink of Stella Clear Brush. I pressed each ink pad on an acrylic block, picked up colors, one by one, with the Wink of Stella Brush and colored sails in rainbow colors.

As a finishing touch I drew white highlights with a white pigment ink pen and my card was finished. :o)

Super simple, yet so cute, don't you think. :o)

Cards measurements: 89 mm x 121 m(3 1/2" x 4 3/4")

I Love Math Challenge #17

Hello everyone and welcome to a new I Love Math Challenge!

This is our seventeenth challenge. If you're new to my blog, you can find all about the challenge here.

A theme for this challenge is picked by our dear ŽeljkaNINE.

In this challenge we are creating a Nature themed Card using 9 elements, same or different. Sentiments are counting as one element (words are not counted separately).

A bit about number 9...

Nine (9) is a natural number. It's the highest single-digit number in the decimal system. A group of nine is called an Ennead.

More about number 9: New World Encyclopedia (meaning of number 9), Mystical Numbers (Number 9 - Meaning, Symbolism and Fun Facts).

And now inspiration from the team...

First one is from Željka.

9 = 8 butterflies + 1 sentiment

Beautiful rainbow slimline card. Love the layout and how butterflies overlap. ♥ Jump over to Željka's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

Here is Valentina's take on the challenge.

9 = 8 sea elements + 1 sentiment

GORGEOUS elegant card!!! LOVE!!! ♥ Jump over to Valentina's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

Here is Kaja's take on the challenge.

9 = 3 clouds + 2 mice + 1 ice cream + 1 basket + 1 ant + 1 sentiment

Super cuteness overload!!! ♥ I LOVE Kaja's take on the challenge, her adorable card and a lovely scene. LOVE it!!  Jump over to Kaja's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

Here is Neha's take on the challenge.

9 elements = water, air, fire, earth, sun, wood, thunder, snow and a sentiment

STUNNING!!! Gorgeous elegant design. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!  Jump over to Neha's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), Rainbow Snails Card. :o)

9 = 8 rainbow snails + sentiment

How I made my card...

To make this card I used an adorable snail stamp from Stacey Yacula Studio (Purple Onion Designs) and a Purple Onion Designs 'Thank You' sentiment stamp.

First I made a tri-fold card base. I used a white cardstock paper.

I stamped snails and the sentiment on a white cardstock panel, same size as the card base. After an ink dried, I colored snails' bodies with colored pencils.

Then I colored snails' houses with Distress Inks and a Wink of Stella Clear Brush. I pressed each ink pad on an acrylic block, picked up colors, one by one, with the Wink of Stella Brush and colored snails' houses in rainbow colors.

As a finishing touch I drew white highlights with a white pigment ink pen and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements: 172 mm x 83 mm  (6 3/4" x 3 1/4")

List of supplies:
  • Purple Onion Designs, Stacey Yacula Studio 'Garden Bugs' (set of 3)
  • Purple Onion Designs 'Thank You sentiment'
  • white cardstock paper
  • Ranger Archival Ink, Jet Black
  • TOZ Color Pencils:
    • skin color
    • pink
  • Stabilo Color Pencil, reddish pink
  • Tim's Holtz Distress Inks:
    • Festive Berries
    • Candied Apple

    • Mustard Seed
    • Twisted Citron

  • ZIG Wink of Stella Brush (Gl. clear 999)
