CES DT Card & Challenges!

Hello everyone. So my mojo wasn't far away. Infact it wasn't lost at all, just strayed a little I think. So back in my comfort zone and thats cute. For this weeks new CES Challenge  the lovely Shell would like to see "Woodland Creatures" on your cards/projects. Couldn't think of a stamp suitable at first but after a good old rummage and finding 3 totes full of stamps that I had forgot about I came across my Motivet Stamps. This is "Doraline with Ladybug". I just love these cuties and always a joy to colour. Have used Promarkers and Polychromo Pencils with Sansador on this occasion. Prima Reflection Papers, Daisy and Mini Carnations, Bead Spray and Promarkers all available at Crafty Emma's Store along with the basic Memento Ink Pad and Smooth Card. More new arrivals on pre-order to all which can be seen here.

I'm running low on these scrabble tiles from Papermania. Will have to google later as I love them for a bit if dimension.
So nice to be back in the zone and I've a box load of new stash to get threw as well including the new Zutter Electric Distressing Tool. Not enough hours in the day and what with all the other unused stamps I've just found I should be in my element right now.

Good morning everyone. Today will be my 1st week as a Guest Designer for Passion for Promarkers and am really looking forward to spending the next 3 weeks with them. I know I've stepped down from my all my DT's, but I had this arranged in advance and didn't want to let them downm, +and it keeps me on my toes LOL! This weeks challenge is a recipe of 3 Shapes, 2 Papers and 1 Ribbon. This weeks sponsor is Letraset and they are giving a prize of a pack of 5 Promarkers.

Please come and play along with this weeks challenge, I'd love for you crafters to come and support me as a GDT. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and would love to take a look at your wonderful creations to.
Got a new 3 piece suite being delivered sometime today and looks like we are at Silverstone on Wednesday, supposedly racing - EEK!!!!! My exciting news is looking good, well, I say exciting, its more of a major purchase but unfortunately not a new house as ours is still on the market. But you will have to wait till the weekend and I just hope it doesn't go belly up.
Anyway, until the sofa turns up, I'm in for a bit of a lazy day today, sounds good to me!!!

An Award and some colouring!

Are you anything like me where you can never quite decide what your favourite colouring medium is? Copics are what I use most as I thought they were my favourite, then I'll go threw my Prisma Pencil stage and decide I like them better. Well, now I'm onto Promarkers and think they are brilliant.
Last night I didn't feel like making a card so inked up one of my many unused stamps and decided to have a little play with my Promarkers as I'd just taken delivery of some of the new colours that have just been released. (Lovin the Caramel). "Doraline" has a coloured image included with the stamp so I randomly chose some Promarkers and started to play. Now I dont like to blow my own trumpet, but I think I did a pretty good job. The image above is the my version and the one below is the one that came with the stamp. I'm not the most experienced when it comes to Promarkers but I am pretty thrilled with how mine came out. Lots of blending and I mean lots. So if I have time this evening, I'm going to use this image and make a card.

BTW, forgot to mention I'm a GDT for the Promarker Challenge during October so please come and play along with the upcoming challenges. I'd love to see you there!!
Thanks for looking and hope I haven't bored you too much...

PS: Heres and award from the lovely Penni I got a few days ago. Thankyou so very much, It means alot..

Secret Crafter DT Card/Dutchdare Challenge

Hello everyone, its time for another Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. Time goes too fast for my liking. Kids been off for a fortnight and before I know it, they will all be back at school. I took the kids down to Dymchurch for the day yesterday. Its a nice seaside town, not too big and only 1/2hr from here. The weather was pretty good and we all love the 2p pushers in the arcades so they managed to empty my purse and more LOL.
Back to this weeks challenge, the them has been set by the lovely Jill and she has chosen a lovely sketch, my only problem was which stamp to use, I seem to have quite a collection of unused stash just piling up!! LOL. I have used a stamp from Motivet. I adore these cute characters and had so much fun colouring her in. I was quite experimental colourin her in this time, used CFopics, Prismas Pencils and Sansodor, H20's and SU Ink Pads and I masked and spritzed the background with Glimmer Mists. The papers are from the English Paper Company. Lace and flowers from stash and used a punch for the swirls.
Hope you can join in with this weeks challenge, remember you will be entered into the monthly prize draw which means more stash for you to play with.

My card also fits in with this weeks Dutchdare Challenge which is to add lace.
Take care and have a lovely weekend

Spoonful of Sugar/Papertake Weekly

I have to say I was pretty excited about posting this card. Its a long time since I got my Prisma Pencils out and I've never shaded to this extreme before but have to say I've even impressed myself on this one. Now I'm as much a Prisma novice as the next but I love the way the dress has turned out. I used 5 or 6 shades of red on this and I'll tell you how I did it. Am sure there are more qualified crafters out there than me but we've all got to start somewhere and if it helps then I'm happy!. Basically I started with the lighest shade adding the most colour around around the edges then blended inwards. What I mean is I used circular motions on the cardstock but bigger circles so adding more pencil to the cardstock. Then as I worked my way down through the colours I added less and didn't blend in as much. I found the with the deepest colour which is last, I just had to work it a little. Trying to make it sound simple. Just keep going over and touching up till your happy with the results. I'm sure someone will tell me I'm doing it all wrong, LOL!!! This gorgeous stamp is from Motivet and its called "Doraline holding a ladybug". Isn't it the cutest!
I used Prima Paper and Nesties for the die. Flowers are Prima and all the other bits are from stash. I'm entering this card into this weeks Spoonful of Sugar (buttons) and Papertake Weekly (Animals). I've bought a few of these gorgeous stamps from Motivet and can highly recommend the,. she also offers a great international service.
Need to get on with a few DT cards and will be out of the house during the day tomorrow, so please leave a comment to let me know you have visited and I'll try and get an 1hrs blog hop in later this evening!
Thanks for looking
