1. Give instructions for pupils to follow to make sure they can identify right and left, e.g. Pick up
a pencil in your left hand. Hold your book in your right hand. Put down your pencil.
LESSON DELIVERY (80 MINS)
1. Tell pupils to put their head on their desks, close their eyes and listen.
2. Play the recording (CD3 33). At the end of the recording, speak quietly and tell pupils to listen
again and imagine. Tell them they are going to draw the robot pet from their head.
3. Play the recording again. Pupils draw their own picture of the robot pet they imagine. (21st CA)
4. Pupils write their descriptions. Display the pictures on the wall of the classroom. (CBA)
5. Ask a pupil to read out one of the descriptions. Pupils look at the pictures on the wall to guess
which one is being described.
ACTIVITIES
6. Pupils do not read their own descriptions aloud.
7. Next, pupils do activity 1 on page 104 of their workbook.
8. Pupils create their own robot mask using cardboard, foil paper, scissors, coloured pen and glue.
9. Teacher guides pupils to create the mask according to their imagination and creativity.
10. Once finish, pupils write their name at the back of the mask and submit to teacher to be
graded.
11. Teacher grades the mask based on their creativity.
POST-LESSON (5 MINS)
1. Elicit what their robot masks are called and what they can and can’t do. Pupils hold up their
robot masks over their faces. Call out actions, e.g. Sit, and pupils mime if their robots can/can’t do
