Ask the motive question:


 What is the beginning sound of YAYA, YABE, YOYO, YUTA?
 What is the letter name of the sound “Yy”?

(Allow the children to share their ideas and write these down on the board or cartolina/
Manila paper)

C. Discussion of concepts
C.1 Meeting Time 1: Pagbasa ng Mensahe

Showing pictures of different objects or animals that shows “Yy” sound.


Demonstrate or let them hear the “Yy” sound.
Show a video that discuss the “Yy” sound.
Show them how to write uppercase and lowercase letter “Yy”
Show them how to write blended sound ya, ye, yi, yo, yu.

C.2 Work Period 1: The “Yy” Sound


Showing pictures of different objects or animals that shows blended sound “Yy”.
Allow them to draw some objects, things or animals that shows beginning blended
sound ya, ye, yi, yo, yu.

C.3 Meeting Time 2: Talk about the activities done during the day

C.4 Teacher-Supervised Recess:


The teacher commends the learners for the work they did in Work Period Time 1 and
tells them to prepare for recess time/health break by sanitizing their hands.
