The Friendly Cat
Katie is a friendly cat. It went to the backyard to see other animals. There were birds eating grains of
rice under the tree. “Hello, my friends. How are you today?” the cat said. The birds were very much
surprised and looked at the cat with fear on their faces. “Go away, please, don’t eat us,” cried the
birds. “Don’t worry, I will not eat you. I came here to be your friend if you want,” answered the cat.
The cat and the birds became good friends.
