South Sumatra

Sakura is a little-known ancient genre of masked theatre found in the Indonesian prov- ince of Lampung in southern Sumatra. In his 2010 performance of sakura, artist I Nyoman Mulyawan showcased his series of “new dance creations” in the style of the coastal Saibatin people. The multiplicity of performance devices and traditional motifs generated an allure that instantly captivated his large village audiences. The stage dynamics, masks, procession as allegory for spiritual journey, auspicious betel nut poles, and rhythmic and ritualistically charged music of the orchestra, were artfully integrated to enchant Mulyawan’s audience.

South Sumatra Basin is one of the major basins in Indonesia with abundant resource, such as hydrocarbons, coal and other economic minerals. One of the parts of this basin is the Palembang Group and Telisa Group, which can be observed its contacts in the area Sukomoro, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Thus, it is important to analyse the stratigraphy data of the Sukomoro Village in the determination its Paleoclimate and Paleogeography, in order to determine how much its progress and relation to the current ecosystem conditions. Based by data in the form of outcrops, rock samples, and measurement data either in the field or in the studio, it observed that the location's type of deposition process was Transgression. Based on the Paleoclimate, it observed when the deposit of Telisa Group the Earth's climate was warming know from the transgression views of stratigraphy observed at Telisa Group Talangakar Formation and the contact with Gumai Formation. Paleogeographic of Sukomoro Village, South Sumatra, Indonesia is a coastal area with a typical transitional deposit with tidal environment.

Birds have a fairly wide living habitat, including waterfalls. Curup Tenang is a waterfall tourism site which has a wildlife
habitat suitable for birds. In The Curup Tenang tourism site, the
number of visitors has decreased over years. Birds are one of the
wildlife animals that have ecological values, potential tourism, and
cultural values. The diversity of birds in this tourist location have
not been recorded. Meanwhile, by increasing knowledge and databases regarding the diversity of birds in this area can be an additional reference for the development strategy in the Curup Tenang
tourism site so that it becomes a distinctive attraction for visitors.
This study aimed to determine the diversity of birds that never been
recorded before and to conduct a potential support of avitourism
activities. The results of this study can be used as a guideline to study
the potential of avitourism. The diversity of birds found in Curup
Tenang consisted of forty-eight species belong to twenty-seven families, while three of them cited as protected bird species. This study
concluded that Curup Tenang contains a high diversity of birds and
it has a great potential to be developed into an attraction of tourism.

Indonesia has a reserve potential of 453 TCF CBM (Coalbed Methane) which spread across the nation, it is divided into 11 basin which include Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Java Island. CBM is a reliable and inexpensive source of natural gas in some other country like Russia, Australia, Canada, and United States of America. Indonesia was indicated are having coal which was thicker and greater than CBM that spread in Powder River Basin (United States of America). Hereby, Indonesia is expected to be able to sustain the energy in the upcoming future. In the past 20 years since the development of CBM in Indonesia, not even a single prospect area can produce CBM optimally. It’s recorded that CBM in Indonesia only reached about 1 MMSCFD in that period of time. Therefore, strategic study and identification of potential problems that occur globally also further review about field techniques are needed to optimize the production of the unconventional gas. CBM wellbore starts the production with a low Gas / Water Ratio (GWR) which increases along the time. This event resulting to process and disposal water facilities caused by CBM production must be built at the beginning of the project so a selected method must be precise because will be the determining factor for the economics project. Besides that, it requires an effective and efficient Artificial Lift that suitable with the condition of formation to fasten the drainage and to decrease the pressure at the reservoir also to decrease the blockage in the Artificial Lift because of the coal characteristics after dewatering. CBM is generally founded at shallow coal bed, therefore it makes the exploration costs are cheaper. Also, the combustion from CBM does not produce toxic, it does not emit ash and only releases a little CO2 per unit compared with oil. Coal bed can store 6-7 times more gas than conventional gas reservoirs, so the CBM resource is very large and promising to be developed. By seeing its potential and excellence, CBM is a golden opportunity and hope of Indonesia to increase national sustainable energy.
