The present study continues the series of studies dedicated to a spectacular house-museum of the Romanian Academy, namely the Museum of Old Western Art Eng. Dumitru Furnică-Minovici. In a file in the Museum's archive, the author recently discovered a series of interesting invoices issued by different merchants from Bucharest in the early 20th century. All addressed to some social institutions established and/or managed by the collector's uncle, dr. Nicolae Minovici (Work Assistance Office for Beggars, Night Asylum), all talking about the social agreement concerning the marginal of the capital of that period. Unfortunately, the anticipated article by eng. D. Furnică-Minovici was no longer drafted and published. Since these documents, due to their age, their importance in the social imaginary and, last but not least, their historical dimension, are an integral part of history, it is the task of the researcher to analyze, contextualize and publish these documents.

The Bulgarian military archives contain interesting information about how the spy network operated during the First World War, coordinated by the Bulgarian military attaché in Bucharest. Captain Samardjiev was the first Bulgarian military attaché in Bucharest to have experience in military intelligence. He made full use of this experience during his three years in Bucharest.

The article underlines the importance of video analysis programs in the objective detection of technical errors for the two hands chest pass procedure, inside the basic course at basketball subject. This was based on the data of an ample experimental study, regarding the technical optimization under an educational and biomechanical aspect of the technical procedures with a ball, which are fundamental in the basketball game. The experimental study subjects were the students from The Physical Education and Sports Faculty in Galati, who got through the subject "Basketball" basic course.

I sought to sketch a certain perspective of the discourse and, thus of the mentalities that troubled and have been troubling our society for the past halfcentury; our society is divided into two periods, one, a communist period, focused on a "utopian and bright" future, supported by an intense social control, and the other where we are today, where rumours and uncertainty are the order of the day. We hope that all these quests of our society, which has been in an endemic transition for several hundredyears, will eventually lead to that much-desired stability and credibility, present in any normal society.

Although Pilemia tigrina is a species of conservation concern, its biology, ecology and distribution in Romania are still poorly known. The data we are adding here contribute to complete the knowledge in the above-mentioned aspects. This is also the first time in 105 years (last known in 1912) that the authors recorded many new occurrences of this species, inside and nearby of three Natura 2000 sites near Cluj-Napoca. They are: "Dealurile Clujului de Est", "Suatu-Cojocna-Crairât" and "Cheile Turzii". Also, P. tigrina was recently reported at "Piatra Secuiului" (Rimetea/Alba), as well as at "Stânca" (Comarna/Iași).

For a long time in the theory of international relations, the role of sport in promoting and developing relations between different states was neglected, which attracted criticism from specialists such as, for example, Trevor Taylor. The need for studies on the role of sports movement in the development of international relations was pointed out by Peter Beck, who pointed out that the theory of international relations has kept an appreciable distance from sport. In this paper I want to fill this information gap based on a series of unprocessed documents, primary sources, found especially in the Balkan region. Sport overcame the barrier of behaviors and social processes that are based on spending free time, succeeding through the involvement of politics to become a "player" in the arena of international relations.

The article addresses the issue of regulating the manifestations of violence in sports at the international level, being proved the need to adopt the specialized legislation in the Republic of Moldova for the successful resolution of the contravention / criminal cases committed on this occasion. At present, sport fulfills a variety of functions, extremely useful from a social point of view, being largely focused on the competition between the participants. It should also be noted that each type of competition is based on aggression to some extent, which is especially noticeable in those sporting events where there is a direct confrontation of rivals (for example, football, judo, boxing, free wrestling, rugby etc.). Sport is the only form of activity in which violence is allowed "in a civilized way" in the contemporary world. Therefore, in order to understand the violence involved in sports, we must not only refer to the forms of interpersonal aggression on the sports field, but also to the mentality involved in the particular form that organized sport in contemporary society. Conflicts arise in all areas of social life, and many of them can turn into aggressive behaviors. The presence of aggression in these cases is confirmed by numerous rules that try to limit it to a minimum. However, sports are dominated by athletes whose aggressive behaviors are stimulated by the use of doping substances in sports competitions in order to obtain favorable and advantageous results. In this context, sports, athletes can generate certain concrete situations of manifestation of an inappropriate ethics reflected by: doping; pressure on the expected sports result; marketing-sport becomes a commodity; hooliganism manifested by fans and spectators of sports competitions; corruption and manipulation in sports; depersonalization of the athlete, which in fact becomes a commodity; politicization-sport becomes an instrument of political struggle; deviation from the principles of "fair play" in favor of pragmatism; racism; unethical behavior of sports champions, especially professionals; negative effects on the health of the performance athlete, even from an early age; frequent abuse of anabolic steroids among athletes, etc.

The May 2022 issue of the Japanese martial arts magazine "Hiden" ran an intriguing feature on Shotokan's Kanazawa-dynasty. lt included a review of the late Kanazawa Hirokazu's (now: Soke) career and specific understanding and embodiment of Karate, a talk with his three sons-Nobuaki, Daizo and Fumitoshi, and an article on his granddaughter Hiyori. The results of turbidity monitoring, from municipal wastewater collected from the Cluj – Napoca channelsnetwork. Monitoring was performed during one year and five months. The water samples were harvested from threedistinct areas of the same municipal collection channel (Canalul Morii – Mărăsti quarter, Canalul Morii - Parcul Mareand Pârâul Popii – inside of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj – Napoca). Thesamples were instumentally analyzed (nefelometry) and statistical processed with STATISTICA v. 7.0. During entireexperimental time interval, values that did not exceed the established limits for water turbidity were recorded. Anaverage of 1.47 Nefelometric Units of Turbidity (NFU) with a minim of 0.54 Nefelometric Units of Turbidity and amaxim of 3.03 Nefelometric Units of Turbidity.

The disastrous situation in which Romania was at the end of 1917, caused
by the betrayal of Russia, convinced the Romanian political decision- makers to end the military hostilities with the Central Powers. On December 9, 1917, the
Armistice Treaty between Romania and the Central Powers was signed in Focsani.
However, not all the technical-military details have been established to determine the exact delimitation of the front on land, water and air, as well as permissible or forbidden military preparations. The Germans also urged the opening of commercial traffic on the Danube and the Black Sea in order to transport the requisite goods from the occupied Romanian territory. For this purpose, a special commission was set up to negotiate these issues, and the decision taken will be an integral part of the Treaty of Armistice. After several discussions between the German and Romanian-Russian Commands, the city of Brliila was chosen as the
place for the special committee negotiations. The Commission was to meet on 12, 13 and 14 January 1918. The present study presents the history of these negotiations, the atmosphere in Braila in January 1918, the impressions of the representatives and the final act of the debates.

After a successful campaign in 1916, when they took most of the
territory of Romania, the German and other Central Powers armies were
preparing for the 1917 campaign in Moldavia. In this regard, they built
many defensive lines opposing the Entante armies in Lower Moldavia.

This paper aims to identify the role of bioclimatic aspects of human behavior in the city of Braila. The authors analyzed three bioclimatic indicators (THI index, DI THOM index and Humidex index) and found a strong connection with inadequate behavior of population, alongside the continuous increase in the prevalence of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and cancer.

Unfavourable circumstances led, by the end of the year 1916, to the occupation of two thirds of Romania’s territory (as of 1913) by the German, Austrian-Hungarian, Turkish and Bulgarian troops. At the beginning of January 1917, Brăila County was occupied by the German army. The German headquarters reorganized the occupied territory in order to have the best economic profit possible of it. Administratively, the county was organized in the area of the Ninth Operational Army (Operationsgebiet). Both the military rule and the administration of these counties were directly assigned to the supreme commander of the army of occupation. By military decree of the General Headquarters (Z.B.V.) no. 52/ 22 April 1917, the territories of the Danube army in Brăila County were divided into three regions: Silistraru, Viziru and Ianca. This paper tackles some aspects of the administrative organisation of Brăila County from 23 December 1916 to 24 October 1918 (both the German and the Romanian administrations).

Water is a fundamental and indispensable constituent of the human body. Small changes produce serious disorders and insufficient water intake is much less tolerated than in other deficiency. The aim of this work is the study of drinking water quality indicators in selected localities in SE Romania (Galati, Braila, Buzau, and Vrancea counties). Water samples were taken from drinking water sources (tap water, well water, spring water, filtered tap water with biological filter), frequently used by the population (15 places). They were subjected to chemical and physico-chemical analysis in order to determine the physical, chemical parameters of quality that can have an impact on the residents' health. In five water sources (Independenta (tap), Independenta (spring), Lunca/Buzau, Liesti fountain at 40 m depth, and Galati (biologically filtered tap water) the pH is below 6.5, a value that does not fit into STAS acquis in force-SR ISO 10523-2009. Oxidability index values in the majority of cases are below the maximum allowed, of 5 mg O2/L water, according to SR EN ISO 8467-2001; in some cases, the values exceed the limits as following: Independenta: 8 mg O2/L; Lunca

The present study reveals the existence of a Russian military necropolis at Jitianu Monastery in Dolj County. The soldiers buried here died in the military hospital sheltered by and functioning in this monastery during the Russo-Turkish War of 1828-1829. Next to them, there was a common grave in which were buried the inhabitants of Craiova who died of the plague in the second year of the war (1829). Also, the study provides information about all the graves of Russian soldiers in Dolj County and about the monument built in Craiova in 1831 in honor of the Russian heroes.

Studiul de față face cunoscută existența unei necropole militare rusești la mănăstirea Jitianu, din județul Dolj. Soldații înmormântați aici au decedat în spitalul militar care a funcționat la această mănăstire în timpul războiului ruso-turc din 1828-1829. Alături, au fost îngropați, într-un mormânt comun, locuitorii Craiovei care au murit de ciumă în al doilea an al războiului (1829). Studiul mai oferă informații despre toate mormintele soldaților ruși din cuprinsul județului Dolj și despre monumentul ridicat în Craiova în 1831 în onoarea eroilor ruși.

In the paper, we set out to present some of the heritage assets specific to an urban cemetery, in our case the “Eternity“ Cemetery in Galati, with a presentation of those to whom we owe the stone testimonies about localities who sleep in its perimeter. In the first half of the nineteenth century appears the urban cemetery, which will be designed after the Western model, there is a great freedom to erect, build any model
of funerary monument, which corresponded to the artistic taste of the one who ordered and fashion. In principle, those who were rich could afford architectural monuments with allegorical themes, busts, blazons, medallions, funerary effigies, inspired by Western art, symbolizing social status. Thus appear tombs, chapels, tombstones, obelisk, stele, crosses on high pedestals. The main sculptors who will work on orders in Galati, for example, were the Greek sculptors Nicolaos Renieris, Ioannis Renieris, Dimitrios Lyritis, Simion D. Lyritis, Dimitrios Colios, N. Niforatos, I. Silicos and Vassillos Scutaris, who came from the Eastern Orthodox space, but there are other craftsmen, from other places, such as the Austrian Eduard Hauser. In general, orders for funerary monuments leave more freedom to these sculptors or stone cutters as they appear in documents, than in the case of civil constructions for example, but in order to be employed, they already had to be known, for the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In Galați there were
landowners, officials, navigators, ship owners, merchants, soldiers, doctors, magistrate etc., who had a certain financial status and wanted the eternal sleep to sleep in a tomb adorned with slabs, cross, tombstone, tombs, niches, arches, crypts, graves, etc. There are several typologies of commercial monuments with a funerary character.

Învăţătorul Gh. Ionescu afirma că şcoala din Poenărei a început să funcționeze regulat abia din anul 1870 de când s-a deschis într-o casă particulară și până în anul 1878 când comuna a construit un local de şcoală în care a funcţionat până în 1893 când datorită degradării s-a mutat în localul de şcoală donat comunei prin testament de fostul învăţător decedat N. Andreescu, local construit după deces de fraţii acestuia, între anii 1892-1893 1. Unii autori susțin că în Poenărei a funcționat o școală înainte de anul 1821 în care a învățat căpitanul de panduri Zdrelea și Ioan Brătianu, numit și Iancu Cociovei (1798-1854), originar din satul Brătieni, fără legături directe cu cunoscuta familie a Brătienilor, parucic în armată și sărdar al plaiului Nucșoara. Cociovei a avut două fete, Maria căsătorită cu Pavel Catană din Poenărei și Elena (Lina) căsătorită cu Constantin Dumitrescu din Lungulețu (jud. Dâmbovița) 2. Învățătorul Gh. Popescu originar din Poenărei afirma că școala a luat ființă "prin 1856" 3. Constantin Rădulescu Codin consideră de asemenea că școala modernă din Poenărei a început să funcționeze permanent începând din anul 1870, iar înainte de acest an elevii urmau la școala din comuna vecină Corbșori unde locuitorii din cele două comune au ridicat în comun un local 4 , variantă care într-adevăr este confirmată de documentele de arhivă. În Registrul de inspecţiune deschis în anul 1893, o primă inspecţie a fost făcută de doctorul Staniu la 26 noiembrie 1893 care a consemnat lacunar următoarele date despre starea localului de școală în suprafață de numai 33,50 mp: "Este bună, numai poarta din fund trebuie condamnată şi în locul ei trebuie o fereastră. Sala este nouă şi destul de mare. Este numai puţin îngrijită, se află mult praf din cauză că îngrijitorul nu-l şterge dimineaţa". Vasul acoperit cu apă lipsea. Despre încălzirea localului de şcoală a consemnat: "Este acum puţin răcoros, nu s-a făcut focul la timp pentru ca sala să se fi încălzit mai bine". Observaţiile generale ale doctorului au fost următoarele: "Trebuie ca sala să se măture întotdeauna seara, după plecarea copiilor şi atunci, cât şi dimineaţa, o oră înainte de sosirea copiilor, să se deschidă ferestrele şi uşa pentru ca aerul să se reînnoiască. Să se şteargă dimineaţa de praf băncile, pupitrul, ferestrele. Să se obişnuiască copiii a-şi Personalul didactic în perioada 1870-1918 Învăţătorii, în ordine cronologică conform încadrării lor, începând de la 1870, au fost următorii: Constantin G. Dumitrache, Nicolae Izbăşoiu, I. Cornăţeanu, Mihai Alexandrescu, Petre Stănescu;

Școala din satul Pârâeşti a luat ființă începând din anul școlar 1929-1930 și a aparţinut din punct de vedere administrativ-teritorial de comuna Stăneşti în perioada 1929-1968 şi de comuna Corbi din anul 1968 şi până la desfiinţare. Lucrările pentru construirea localul de şcoală tip Casa Şcoalelor au început în anul 1927 cu banii alocaţi de Ministerul Instrucţiunii Publice, un local din zid de cărămidă şi piatră, compus din patru încăperi din care două erau sălile de clasă. Invalidul de război Ion Gh. Vâlcu, membru PNL, primar al comunei Stănești, cu prăvălie și han, căsătorit cu Maria Graor, fără urmași direcți, a lăsat prin testament olograf un teren în suprafaţă de 288 mp pe care s-a ridicat localul de şcoală limitat la răsărit cu drumul, la miazănoapte cu uliţa de sat, la apus şi miazăzi cu restul proprietății donatorului 1 .

Școala din satul Corbșori , inclusiv cu satul Poenărei, a luat ființă în anul 1839 și a funcționat într-un local din bârne, cu trei încăperi fiind deservită de unul sau chiar doi candidați de învățător pentru cei 30 de copii. Primii învățători au fost: Nicolae, fiul preotului Pavel din Corbșori, însurat, în vârstă de 40 de ani în 1838 și Gheorghe Grigore, flăcău, în vârstă de 17 ani în 1846, treapta preot, candidat 2. După Revoluția de la 1848, școala se închide fiind redeschisă în anul 1857, cu 20 de copii din Corbșori și Stănești de către învățătorul Constantin Bădescu (înlăturat din funcție în anul 1862 fiind considerat "nestăruitor") și învățătorul Ioan Bucurescu mutat din 1862 la Școala Corbi 3. Documentele din fondul arhivistic al școlii aflate la Arhivele Naționale (Argeș) încep din anul 1880, odată cu numirea în funcţie a învățătorului Ion Lupescu, învățător cu gradul II, numit cu ordinul nr. 7.219/1880 al prefectului de Muscel şi cu ordinul nr. 427/1880 al revizorului şcolar de Muscel. Această lipsă de documente se poate justifica prin faptul că în satul Corbşori până în octombrie 1880 nu a existat o activitate instructiv-educativă susţinută întrucât în această comună nu a existat un post de învățător salariat de stat. Primele constatări făcute de învăţătorul Ion Lupescu în anul 1880 au fost legate de frecvenţa scăzută a elevilor. Pe lista generală erau 35 de elevi dintre care doar 19 s-au prezentat la cursuri: 14 elevi şi 5 eleve. Soba din localul şcolii trebuia reparată imediat (era în octombrie 1880), precum şi cele două bănci. Încă de la început, învăţătorul a trecut la amendarea în octombrie 1880 a celor 13 familii care "fără motiv" nu-şi trimeteau copiii la şcoală. În aprilie 1881, învăţătorul I. Școala în perioada modernă Școala din satul Corbi care avea circa 210-215 familii a luat ființă în anul 1839, cu doi candidați de învățător și 40 de elevi, fiind construită din bârne și având trei încăperi. Primii învățători au fost: Turculețu Simeon, însurat, în vârstă de 30 de ani în 1838 și Ioan Ulescu, scris și Hulescu, flăcău, în vârstă de 17 ani în 1846, candidat 1. Din cauza evenimentelor posterioare Revoluției de la 1848, Școala din Corbi se închide ca majoritatea celor din țară, fiind redeschisă în anul 1857 când este numit învățătorul Ioan Grigorescu pentru cei 21 de copii. Ioan Grigorescu se stinge din viață la 20 aprilie 1861 fiind înlocuit în funcție de la 23 martie 1862 de învățătorul Ioan Bucurescu provenit de la Școala Corbșori 2. Ion N. Andreescu, fost învățător și director al școlii, în lucrarea monografică dedicată comunei Corbi consideră că începutul învățământului modern de la Corbi este în anul 1872 când școala funcționează cu două clase (I și II) doar pe timpul iernii, primul învățător al școlii fiind Tică N. Ștefănescu originar din comuna Jugur 3. Acesta mai susține că școala s-a înființat de către învățătorul Nae Andreescu din Poenărei sprijinit de primarul comunei Corbi, Nae A. Paul care și-a închiriat propria casă pentru a fi folosită provizoriu ca local de școală 4 .

București este principalul punct de intrare în România. Este un oraș în plină expansiune, cu multe proiecte mari de infrastructură schimbând fața veche a orașului. Cunoscut în trecut ca "Micul Paris", București s-a schimbat foarte mult în ultima vreme, iar astăzi a devenit un amestec foarte interesant de vechi și nou, care are prea puțin de-a face cu reputația sa inițială. O biserică veche de 300 ani în apropierea unei clădiri de oțel și sticlă și amândouă alături de o clădire în stil comunist este un lucru obișnuit în București. Orașul oferă câteva atracții excelente, și în ultimii ani a cultivat o sensibilitate sofisticată, modernă și mondenă, pe care mulți se așteaptă să o găsească la o capitală europeană.
