Mini Canvas Halloween Magnets

The last couple of weeks I feel like I have posted a lot of crochet projects, so the next few days will be some other types of crafts. I really love crocheting but it tends to take a while to finish a project and sometimes I just want a nice quick project, or even just something different to switch it up a little. Todays project was a really quick, easy project and one that would even be fun to do with kids. And be sure to keep scrolling to the end of this post to enter to win a giveaway for a gift card to your favorite craft store.

I got a pack of mini canvases at Micheals, but I am pretty sure I have seen them at any craft store. They had black or white but for this project I thought black would be perfect. The canvases are thin and only 2 inches square. I also picked up some magnet strips to add to the back after I had finished them. I thought they were the perfect size to make into cute, Halloween magnets.

I pulled out some of my craft paints and painted some little halloween doodles on the canvases. I just painted, no pattern or anything, and it was kind of fun and relaxing. Some of them turned out better than others, but either way it was fun to just sit and paint something.

I wanted designs that were kind of cutesy Halloween so I went with pumpkins, one with a face and one without, a ghost, a witch's hat, a cauldron, and the word boo.

Some other fun ideas for simple halloween designs would be a bat, a spider or spiderweb, a full moon, a cat, some candy, the words "trick or treat", the number 31, or so many other things.

Because I decided to use the black canvases I kind of steered away from things that were all black like bats and spiders, that is also why my witch hat is purple and my cauldron is kind of silvery metallic.

I didn't have my kids join me this time, but I think they would really enjoy this project, so it is one that would be fun for all ages.
