Today is day 3 of my Read Across America Week book inspired craft projects. Each Day this week I am sharing a project based on a favorite book. I started with a picture book, then moved to kind of an elementary age chapter book, and now today's book is one that I loved as a teenager- Anne of Green Gables.

Resin Initial Keychains

Last month as I shared some Harry Potter themed crafts I made some resin keychains. It was the first resin project I shared here on the blog, though we did try a few things as practice before that. When I made them I had a little bit of extra resin left so I used it to make a few extra keychains, specifically using some of my kids first initials.

Ukraine Shirts and Bracelets

My 9 year old daughter is one who feels things very deeply and is very sensitive to things going on around her. But even knowing that I don't think I really anticipated how much she would be affected by the war in Ukraine. Ever since she found out about what was happening she has been very concerned about the people there. She prays for them regularly and talks to us about it a lot. I know that she wishes there was more she could do to help.

I am someone who always has a million projects going at any given time. I have lots of ideas and often start working on the next idea before I finish one. This happens to me a lot with crochet projects. I usually have an on the go project that I take with me when I am sitting in the car in the school pickup line. A project I only work on at home because it has lots of pieces or colors, or it needs other stuff that I don't want to carry around. And then there are usually a few that I have have started simply because I saw a skein of yarn and had an idea pop in my head and started it right then.

Clay Disc Bead Bracelets

This week's Summer Camp Craft Saturday project is a little late. I had a super busy week ending with my 5 year old's birthday, but I figured better late than never so here we are. This week we are making bracelets again, but this time with beads. Clay disc beads to be exact.

Felted Wool Ball Jewelry

-I was given a sample of this product for review, all ideas and opinions are my own-

Do you have any crafts you want to try but haven't yet? One of those things for me was wool felting. I think the little felted wool balls can be so cute for different projects but I have never tried making them. So, when I got the chance to review a sample box of wool roving from Kraemer Yarns I was really excited to try it out.
