1) Cantantes, actores, deportistas, modelos y otras celebridades del panorama nacional e internacional, con el gesto de “Yo también”, han querido sumarse a la Fundación "Vencer el Cáncer", prestando su imagen. Xabi Alonso, Carmen Machi, Miguel Bosé, Ana Torroja, Carlos Sobera, Lolita Flores, José Mota, Almudena Cid, Michel, Nieves Herrero o Luis Figo, entre otros, son algunos de los rostros conocidos que han querido participar el la campaña de "Vencer el cáncer", la la única fundación de ámbito nacional que destinará todos sus recursos a la investigación en España sobre las causas moleculares del cáncer y que facilitará la transferencia de este conocimiento al desarrollo de nuevos fármacos. Independiente de cualquier otra organización, pero con la voluntad de establecer acuerdos de colaboración en el área de investigación, cuenta además con el apoyo de Cancer Research UK, una fundación modelo que en Reino Unido que recauda 500 millones de euros cada año.

2) Dani Martin, Melendi, Nena Daconte, Carlos Baute o David Bisbal serán algunos de los artistas y grupos que participarán en la VII edición de "La Noche de Cadena 100", "una fiesta musical" que se celebrará el próximo 2 de abril en el Palacio de los Deportes de Madrid. También asistirán como invitados Fangoria, Oceana o Ana Torroja, entre otros, según ha informado la emisora musical en un comunicado. La recaudación de esta edición irá destinada a la ONG Manos Unidas y ayudará a más de 3.600 personas en Ranomafama, una población situada a 400 kilómetros al sur de Antananarivo, capital de Madagascar. El evento se podrá escuchar por radio y verse en la página web oficial, con quince minutos de diferencia respecto al directo.

3) En Moguer se ha presentado este miércoles el programa musical 'Sinphónicos', compuesto por una serie de conciertos exclusivos de la orquesta sinfónica del Liceo en los que actuarán artistas como Paloma San Basilio, Ana Torroja y Raphael. El sábado 23 de julio será el turno para Ana Torroja. La que fuera voz de Mecano ofrecerá junto a la sinfónica un repertorio con temas de su último trabajo discográfico en solitario 'Sonrisa' y grandes éxitos del idolatrado grupo que durante años fue la referencia del pop nacional.

Maná presenta su 'Drama y luz' La banda mexicana visita Madrid para promocionar su último disco

Para bien o para mal, una generación de mexicanos (y un nutrido grupo de extranjeros) ha bailado con Maná. El press kit del último disco del grupo tapatío (de Guadalajara, México), Drama y luz, les define como "la banda de rock mexicana más influyente a nivel mundial". ¿Lo sienten así? En entrevista con este diario, el vocalista, Fher, y el guitarrista, Sergio Vallín, sueltan la carcajada. "No sé quién escribe esas cosas", asegura Fher. Vallín apostilla: "Eso dicen". El comentario causa más risas. Es aventurado afirmar que Maná es, en efecto, la banda más influyente de la escena mexicana. Pero una discografía editada en 40 países, 22 millones de discos vendidos en todo el mundo y una gira que vendió más de dos millones de entradas no son datos fáciles de ignorar.

El "eso dicen" es un chiste interno. En Madrid, una de las paradas para promocionar su nuevo disco, Fher cuenta que un día se encontraron con la compositora de Bésame mucho, la fallecida mexicana Consuelo Velázquez. "Le dijimos: 'Usted sabe que los Beatles hicieron una versión de su canción?'. Ella nos respondió: 'Eso dicen'. Ella ni se había enterado", comenta. La banda, al parecer, ha tomado este ejemplo para alejarse del éxito que le ha acompañado durante los dos últimos decenios y afirma que Drama y luz es un disco "autocomplaciente". ¿Qué significa esto? "El disco no responde a modas, tendencias o a las exigencias de compañías de discos o radios", explica Fher. Sergio Vallín añade: "Lo hicimos para darnos gusto". Tanto cuidado pusieron en la grabación del último álbum que incluso aplazaron la fecha original de lanzamiento. "Queríamos hacer un disco con buenos temas. Grabamos 50 canciones y, al final, quedaron las mejores". En Drama y Luz, Maná experimenta con nuevos sonidos. El disco cuenta con la participación de una orquesta de cuerda de 32 integrantes. El primer sencillo, Lluvia en el corazón, es un tema con ritmo moderno, pero que no deja de sonar a Maná. A una semana de su lanzamiento, el single ocupa los primeros puestos de la radio en Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico, Argentina y México. Aun así, el vocalista y el guitarrista de Maná lamentan que el disco como obra física, el que incluye desde el arte de la carátula hasta el cuadernillo con las letras de las canciones, esté en peligro de extinción. "Las nuevas generaciones no tienen la cultura de ver el disco físicamente. Cuando recibimos Drama y luz, la sensación de tener el disco en las manos, hojear el librito, es alucinante", comenta Vallín. Aun así, Fher no deja de lado los aspectos positivos de esta nueva época. "A mí me sigue gustando el disco físico como obra", subraya, "pero por otro lado creo que es positivo que la gente elija los temas que le gustan. Hoy vamos con otra voz femenina descubierta a través de nuestro seguidor Midas. Es la de Anna Nalick (nacida 30 marzo, 1984, en Glendora, California), una cantante y compositora norteamericana. Su álbum de debut "Wreck of the day" ("El desastre del día"), incluía su primer éxito radiofónico, "Breathe (2AM)" ("Respira") que se editó el 19 de abril del 2005. Nalick dejó su sello bajo Sony en el 2009 tras desencuentros sobre le edición de su esperadísimo segundo disco. Este mes de marzo, Nalick anunció que su nuevo álbum "Broken Doll and Odds and Ends" ("Muñeca rota y cabos sueltos") se editaría el de marzo. La seguiremos seguro. Today we're with another female voice discovered through our follower Midas. It's Anna Nalick (born March 30, 1984, in Glendora, California), is an American singer-songwriter. Her debut album, "Wreck of the Day", featuring her first radio hit, "Breathe (2 AM)," ("Respira") was released on April 19, 2005. Nalick left her label under Sony in 2009 after a falling out surrounding the release of her long-anticipated second album. Arvo Pärt (nacido el 11 de septiembre de 1935) es un compositor clásico estonio y uno de los compositores vivos más importantes de la música sacra. Pärt nació en Paide, provincia de Järva, Estonia. Un conflicto prolongado con los oficiales soviéticos le hicieron emigrar con su esposa y dos hijos en 1980. Vivió primero en Viena, Austria, donde tomó la nacionalidad austríaca, y después se mudó a Berlín, Alemania. Regresó a Estonia con el comienzo del siglo XXI y ahora reside en Taillin.

Desde finales de los 70, Pärt trabajó en el estilo minimalista empleando una técnica de composición propia llamada tintinnabuli. Su música también se inspira e toma influencia del canto Gregoriano.

Since the late 1970s, Pärt has worked in a minimalist style that employs a self-made compositional technique called tintinnabuli. His music also finds its inspiration and influence from Gregorian chant.

"Spiegel im Spiegel", in German literally can mean both "mirror in the mirror" as well as "mirrors in the mirror", referring to the infinity of images produced by parallel plane mirrors.
It is a piece of music written by Arvo Pärt in 1978, just prior to his departure from Estonia. The piece was originally written for a single piano and violin - though the violin has often been replaced with either a cello or a viola. Versions also exist for double bass, clarinet, horn, flute and percussion. The piece is musically minimal, yet produces a serene tranquility.

The piece is used frequently in television, film and theatre, including: Isabel Coixet's ("Elegy 2008), Guy Ritchie's ("Swept Away" 2002), Gus Van Sant's ("Gerry" 2002) & David Trueba´s

Nik Kershaw (nacido Nicholas David Kershaw; 1 marzo 1958) es un cantante-compositor inglés. Este guitarrista jazz-funk de antaño se convirtió en un ídolo de adolescentes a mediados de los 80. Aunque nacido en Bristol, Kershaw creció en Ipswich, Suffolk, y tras dejar la escuela en 1976 trabajó como dependiente. A comienzos de 1984, Kershaw editó su hit "Wouldn't it be good" ("No sería estupendo"), que alcanzó el nº4 en la lista de singles británico y se convirtió en un gran éxito en Europa, particularmente en Alemania, Italia, Suiza, Escandinavia y Australia. El video clip, en el que Kershaw aparece con un traje chroma-alienígena, fue muy difundido en MTV. El 17 de mayo Simply Red publican el que será su último álbum. La banda británica se ha separado definitivamente y lanza un disco recopilatorio grabado en el concierto que ofreció en octubre de 2010 en el Opera House de Sydney.
Liderada por Mike Hucknall, la banda salió de los clubes de Manchester en 1984, en plena era post-punk. Hasta su última gira de adiós en 2010 (que pasó por Europa y América, Japón y Singapur, Tailandia y Malasia, Australia y Nueva Zelanda) el grupo ha ofrecido 1.100 conciertos ante más de once millones de personas, ha vendido 55 millones de discos, situado 31 canciones en las listas británicas y dos nº1 en Estados Unidos.
Formada originalmente por Mike Hucknall (voz), Tony Bowers (bajo), Chris Joyce (batería), Dave Fryman (guitarra), Fritz McIntyre (teclados) y Tim Kellet (vientos), 'Simply Red' publicó en 1985 su primer álbum 'Picture Book' con el single de éxito 'Moneys Too Tight'.

RUMER, UNA NUEVA VOZ A DESCUBRIR / A new voice to be discovered

Rumer es el nombre artístico de la cantante y compositora británica, Sarah Joyce (nacida en 1979 en Islamabad, Pakistán). Su nombre artístico está inspirado en la autora Rumer Godden. Su voz se ha descrito como reminiscente a la de Karen Carpenter. Figuras eminentes de la industria musical como Burt Bacharach, Jools Holland & Elton John la apoyan. Rumer fue nominada a dos premios Brit el 13 de enero de 2011.

Bajo el nombre de Sarah Prentice cantó en una banda folk/indie de bastante éxito en Londres llamada La Honda entre 2000 y 2001. Su álbum debut "SEASONS OF MY SOUL" ("Estaciones de mi alma"), se editó el 1 de noviembre de 2010, producido por su mentor, el compositor británico Steve Brown. Era una de las noticias más esperadas por la industria de la música: Agnetha Faltskog, la rubia de ABBA, confesaba hace unos días a una web de música que le encantaría hablar con sus antiguos compañeros sobre la posibilidad de un regreso a los escenarios. Eso sí, para un solo concierto.
“Creo que sería divertido reencontrarnos, hablar sobre los viejos tiempos y quizá actuar juntos”, confesaba la cantante, que hasta entonces había sido la única reticente al regreso del mítico cuarteto.
Imagínense: ¡Los reyes del pop otra vez unidos! El sueño de sus fans más acérrimos -y no tan acérrimos- cumplido. El premio a la espera durante décadas del reencuentro más esperado de la música. Ya no hará falta esperar a nuevas reediciones de sus éxitos para obtener material ‘nuevo’. Nada de nuevos estrenos del musical de Mamma Mía! para captar la foto de los cuatro juntos.
No obstante, ABBA es uno de esos grupos que nunca muere. Separados de 1982, el cuarteto ha seguido vivo gracias a las distintas reediciones de sus discos, que año tras año han copado las listas de éxitos y llegan a vender entre dos y tres millones de discos anuales.
De hecho, el grupo ha vuelto a la palestra durante los últimos meses de 2010, gracias a una serie de diversas colecciones de música e ilustraciones que han demostrado que ABBA es todo un referente de la música y la cultura pop.
Una de ellas es Los tesoros de ABBA (Editorial Cúpula), una obra que incluye entrevistas inéditas a Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-Frida Lyngstad y la propia Fältskog, así como veinte documentos extraíbles, entre los que destacan reproducciones de pegatinas, entradas y muchos otros ‘tesoros’.
Asimismo, los fans del grupo más cantarines están de enhorabuena. Y es que la compañía ha lanzado una aplicación para iPhone en la que pueden cantar las mejores canciones del grupo como ya ocurre en el juego de PlayStation, SingStar.
Pero la cosa no queda aquí. Universal ha querido aprovechar la fiebre actual que se vive por el formato del vinilo y ha lanzado una caja de edición limitada que contiene los ocho álbumes originales del grupo y otro más con canciones no incluidas en los discos de estudio.
De igual forma, y tras el éxito obtenido por la colección ABBA Gold en 1992, la discográfica ha querido lanzar una edición especial de la misma que contiene, además del CD original remasterizado, un DVD con los videoclips del grupo y una versión especial animada de Money, Money, Money.
Está visto que los reyes NO han perdido su corona. ¡Larga vida a ABBA!

THE HISTORY OF SUPER TROUPER
Super Trouper was first released in Sweden in November 1980. Sessions for the album began in February 1980 and concluded in mid-October the same year, just a couple of weeks before release. The creation of the album seems to have been one of the smoothest in ABBA history - at least, that's how it looks from the outside: sessions starting off with a bang with five completed backing tracks in just a few days, and, when the recording period was over, just a couple of tracks left unreleased (out of which only 'Put On Your White Sombrero' went beyond the first stages of recording). With hits such as 'The Winner Takes It All', 'Lay All Your Love On Me' and the title track, today it is Benny Andersson's favourite ABBA album.


PUTTING TOGETHER THE DELUXE EDITION

Super Trouper Deluxe Edition is the fourth release in the series of ABBA Deluxe Editions (the fifth if you count the 30th Anniversary Edition of Waterloo). Work on this release began in March 2010, but it was put on the backburner to make way for The Vinyl Collection box set and ABBA Gold CD/DVD Special Edition. With those releases over and done with, we could finally give our full attention to Super Trouper. The format is the same as for previous Deluxe Editions: one disc a CD of the original album plus bonus tracks, one disc a DVD of rare and previously unreleased television material relevant to the Super Trouper era.
All tracks on the CD have been remastered especially for this release, and, to my ears, they sound better than ever. The bonus track ‘On And On And On (Full length version, stereo mix)', is the only previously unreleased track on the release - it has only been released in mono on CD before, but now we finally located the stereo mix of this early, unedited version of the song.
As for the DVD, I think it offers a nice picture of "ABBA in 1980", with television performances of four tracks on the album, plus the Words And Music documentary, detailing the making of the Super Trouper album. The DVD also includes a unique 15-minute featurette, entitled Somewhere In The Crowd There's You - On Location With ABBA. This featurette consists of previously unseen footage that was shot on the night when ABBA and their album designer, Rune Söderqvist, assembled a crowd of friends and circus performers to create the spectacular photograph featured on the Super Trouper album sleeve. This archive footage was never used for anything at the time, and has never been made public until now.
As an "extension" of the featurette, we have included the original promo clips for ‘Super Trouper’ and ‘Happy New Year’ – both of which feature footage shot on the “album sleeve night” – to give the viewer further glimpses of what took place that night. The sequences included in the promo clips, shot by director Lasse Hallström, are completely different to the footage in the featurette, filmed by a separate film crew. The promo clips are the newly restored and remastered versions, out of which only ‘Super Trouper’ has been released before (on ABBA Gold CD/DVD Special Edition); the restored ‘Happy New Year’ is seen for the first time.
For my liner notes, I interviewed Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus in May 2010. They both offered new details and perspectives on the Super Trouper era and the songs created during that period.
The Super Trouper Deluxe Edition project was co-ordinated by Mia Segolsson. The CD was mastered by Masters of Audio, the DVD was put together by Filmtech, Fredrik Hurtig designed the package, Wouter Timmers helped us with the single and album sleeves, and Thomas Nordin contributed memorabilia for the booklet. Ian Cole helped out with additional comments and suggestions, and, along with Paul Carter, was an invaluable sounding-board and proof-reader when I wrote my liner notes.

Hacía tiempo que no sabíamos nada de ellos. Lo último que publicamos aquí fue el cumpleaños de Jenny Berggren coincidiendo con la salida de un single suyo en solitario. Su hermana Linn ya se había apeado del grupo en el 2007, incluso habían actuado como trío hasta que en 2009, Jenny también decidió independizarse, al no poder firmar contrato discográfico como trío. Así pasaron los años, hasta que los chicos Jonas y Ulf decidieron reclutar dos vocalistas más jóvenes Clara Hagman y Julia Williamson, con quienes editaron un álbum "THE GOLDEN RATIO" en septiembre 2010 y un primer single "ALL FOR YOU" ("Todo por ti"), que os presentamos hoy. ¡Suena bien!

We didn't know anything about them for a long time. The latest we posted here was Jenny Berggren's birthday together with the release of her solo-single. Her sister Linn had already abandoned the group in 2007. They had even performed as a trio until 2009, when Jenny also decided to go solo, since the band could not get a record contract as a trio. Jonas and Ulf have since recruited two new female vocalists, Clara Hagman and Julia Williamson. The new line-up released their first album together "THE GOLDEN RATIO" in September 2010, and a first single "ALL FOR YOU", which we present today. Sounds great!

ROXETTE CONFIRMA CONCIERTOS EN ESPAÑA / Roxette confirms concerts in Spain [+ video con Per "Detrás de las canciones de 'CHARM SCHOOL' "]

Roxette ha anunciado dos fechas de conciertos en España. El grupo tocará en el Palacio de Vistalegre en Madrid y en el de Sant Jordi en Barcelona, el 18 y 19 de noviembre respectivamente. Roxette has announced two concert dates in Spain. The band will play the at Palacio Vistalegre Arena in Madrid and the Sant Jordi in Barcelona on November 18 & 19 respectively. The release of Laura Pausini's new album, according to her record company, is due for November 11th, (11-11-11), a date that she considers of good luck. The singer is also going to surprise her fans updating her website on the 11th of every month until then.

Her latest release was "Laura Live" from 2008, which sold over 45 million copies with a live collection of her repertoire taken from more than 80 shows which she had performed throughout the world over three years.

Born on May 16th, 1974, she has won three Latin Grammys and one Grammy. She's best-known for her ballads and love songs, though she has also sung about racism, war and poverty among other social issues. Throughout her career she has sung in many languages, apart from Italian, including Spansih, Portuguese, English, french and Sicilian. Apart from being Mardi Gras, it's the 100th International Woman's Day, and we didn't want to let it pass by. We thought about which song to choose, we had already posted Donna Summer's "SHE WORKS HARD FOR THE MONEY" for a similar date. VIRGINIA LABUAT: ¿LA DUFFY ESPAÑOLA? / The Spanish Duffy?

Virginia Labuat, cantante salida de una de las hornadas de OT, está a punto de sacar su segundo álbum, y parece que se apunta a la onda retro, estilo Duffy, Amy Winehouse o Adele. Su álbum se llama "DULCE HOGAR", y este es el primer single "TIME IS NOW" ("Es la hora").

"Una mezcla coqueta de años 50 con un grito de rebeldía que dice: escucha y olvida tus prejuicios", así define Labuat su nuevo single, y añade que "a los tres minutos de escuchar la canción ya se aprecia que tiene algo diferente". El tema, cantado en inglés, reúne "energía, originalidad, dinamismo a la par que sugerente", haciendo un recorrido por diferentes estilos del rock, vintage, rockabilly, pop o swing, entre otros.

El disco ha sido compuesto por la propia artista y cuenta con una mayoría de canciones cantadas en castellano. Para la producción, Virginia ha contado con la ayuda de Iñaki García, quien ha puesto, en contadas ocasiones, sus pianos y teclados al servicio de numerosos artistas españoles como Miguel Bosé, Luz Casal, Rosana o Dani Martín y El Canto del Loco.

Virginia Labuat, singer which took off from a Spanish TV talent programme, is about to release her second album and it seems that she's taken up the retro 60s style of Duffy, Amy Winehouse or Adele. Her album is "DULCE HOGAR" ("Sweet home"), and this is her first single "TIME IS NOW".

"It's a cute mixture of the 50s with a cry of rebel which says: listen and forget your prejudice", that's how Labuat defines her first single, adn she adds: "after listening to the song for three minutes you can apreciate there's something different". The song sung in English unites "energy, originality, dinamism and also it's seducing", covering different styles rock, vintage, rockabilly, por or swing, among others.

The album has been composed by herself and most of the songs are in Spanish. Virgina has counted for the production with the help of Iñaki García, who in severl occasions has done keyboards and piano for many Spanish artists such as Miguel Bosé, Luz Casal, Rosana or Dani Martín andEl Canto del Loco.

PHIL COLLINS: SE RETIRA, ¿LE ECHAREMOS DE MENOS? / Retires, will we miss him?

Phil Collins has indicated that he intends to end his rock career after learning that health problems will prevent him playing the drums again.

The 60-year-old star says he feels it is "a good time to stop" making music, adding: "I don't think anyone's going to miss me."
He has hearing problems, a dislocated vertebra and nerve damage in his hands, all brought on by a lifetime spent hunched behind a drum kit.
The songwriter also claims that listeners have grown "sick" of him and that there is no longer a place for him in the current music scene.
"I look at the MTV Music Awards and I think: 'I can't be in the same business as this'," Collins says in an interview with FHM magazine.
"I don't really belong to that world and I don't think anyone's going to miss me. I'm much happier just to write myself out of the script entirely.
"I'll go on a mysterious biking holiday and never return. That would be a great way to end the story, wouldn't it?" Collins, who lives alone in Switzerland after divorcing his third wife in 2007, has enjoyed huge popularity over 40 years as both a drummer and singer with the rock band Genesis and then as one of the biggest-earning solo artists of all time.
He claims that it was this success and the overplaying of his music which made people "want to strangle" him. "It's hardly surprising that people grew to hate me. I'm sorry that it was all so successful. I honestly didn't mean it to happen like that," he says.
The star, who has sold more than 150 million records, says his main focus now is his two sons, Nicholas and Matthew, by his third wife Orianne Cevey. "I'm not worried about not being able to play the drums again, I'm more worried about being able to cut a loaf of bread safely or building things for my kids," he says.
"My doctors tell me it's a work in progress, that it will take about a year for me to recover."
He said he has been told his hands are not strong enough to play the drums. "I don't think I'll ever be able to do that again," he said.
Collins once disclosed that the only way he could play was by taping his drumsticks to his hands.
The star, who has two children by previous marriages, joined Genesis in 1970 as drummer and later replaced Peter Gabriel as lead singer. In the 1980s he had hits such as In The Air Tonight, Against All Odds and Two Hearts, while continuing with Genesis.
He won an Oscar for his song You'll Be in My Heart from the 1999 Disney animated film Tarzan, and seven Grammy Awards. His last album, Going Back, released last year, was a collection of Motown and soul classics and topped the British charts in September

A few comments on the track list:The original album and the bonus tracks have been remastered especially for this release, sounding better than ever. As for the bonus tracks, an exciting discovery was the stereo mix of the original, full length version of On And On And On, previously only available in mono. We are very happy to be able to include it on this Deluxe Edition of Super Trouper.
The DVD contains a number of television performances of tracks from the Super Trouper album, none of which have been released on DVD before. The same goes for the vintage documentary Words And Music, produced by Polar Music International, which features the group talking specifically about the Super Trouper album in the immediate aftermath of the album’s completion.
We are especially thrilled to be able to include a brand new featurette, entitled Somewhere In The Crowd There’s You – On Location With ABBA. This featurette is a brand new production, compiling footage that was shot on the night when ABBA and their album designer, Rune Söderqvist, assembled a crowd of friends and circus performers to create the spectacular photograph featured on the Super Trouper album sleeve. This archive footage has been gathering dust in the archives for three decades without ever being made public – until now.
As a bonus, we have included the original promo clips for ‘Super Trouper’ and ‘Happy New Year’ – both of which feature footage shot on the “album sleeve night” – to give the viewer further glimpses of what took place that night. The sequences included in the promo clips, shot by director Lasse Hallström, are completely different to the footage in the featurette, filmed by a separate film crew. The promo clips are the newly restored and remastered versions, out of which only ‘Super Trouper’ has been released before (on last year’s ABBA Gold CD/DVD Special Edition); the restored ‘Happy New Year’ is seen for the first time.

"BOIG PER TU"/"ES POR TI", SAU & LUZ

Empezamos otro mes... Vamos con una canción que la mayoría conoce en la voz de Luz Casal, "ES POR TI". Pero originariamente pertenece al grupo de rock catalán Sau, para quienes supuso un gran éxito en 1990 como "BOIG PER TU" ("Loco por ti"). Sau era un grupo de gran éxito en Catalauña en los 90, compuesto por el cantante Carles Sabater y guitarrista Pep Sala. Carles murió en 1999 lo que supuso el fin de la banda. Luz grabó la versión en castellano en 1992. Aunque también la ha cantado con ellos en catalán. Hoy aquí todas las versiones. (Quiero agradecer a Midas y sus blogs que me hacen descubrir estas conexiones musicales).

Kicking off another month... Let's go with a song which most will know in Luz Casal's voice, ·ES POR TI" ("It's because of you"). But it originally belongs to Catalan rock group Sau, for who it was a great hit in 1990 as "BOIG PER TU" ("Crazy about you"). Sau was a successful group in Catalonia in the 90s, made up by vocalist Carles Sabater & guitarrist Pep Sala. Carles died in 1999, which meant the end of the band. Luz recorded the Spanish version in 1992. She has also sung it with them in Catalan. Today here are all the versions. (I'd like to thank Midas and his blogs for discovering these musical conexions).
