Glazed Tiles

The building of the embassy of Morocco (1905) in Prechistensky side street is decorated with glazed tiles. It looks specially spectacular in the rays of the fading sun.

Trubnaya Square

View from Trubnaya square.
The red brick building on the left and all three onions belong to convent, founded in 1380, one of the oldest convents in Moscow. The building on the right are modern ones, decorated in 19th century's style. In front of these buildings, on the other side of the boulevard, there is a newly born glass-and-concrete monster. I will not show it to you, do not want to frighten you on Friday evening).

Sunset colors

The quick shot I did today through the car window when waiting at the red light. Blue sky and gold of the building did great combination in sunset light.

Sunset in Kolomenskoe

Here I am, with one of my late September photographs.
I heard it's snowing in Moscow now though from my point of staying it's so hard to believe in snow!

I will try to post more photos shortly since I finally got my home internet connection.

It's was great to get your comments! Thanks :)

Sunset

We are having the most summer-unlike weather: it's +10 C outside, the sky is grey and depressive. I bet some of your winters are warmer!

Enjoy your week-end!

Every evening the sun goes further west. Lush foliage screens sunsets from my sight but makes last light of the day more beautiful.

Sunset

Doesn't it look a bit African to you? You know, those famous pictures of giraffes and baobab trees silhouettes against the setting sun? It feels something similar somehow.

I don't know what cause such reddish effect, must be smog or dusty air, but the view is magnificent!

Sunset

This is the first time since I moved over here that I can see sunset through my kitchen window. In fact, this is the first time I see sun from my kitchen at all! You see, during late autumn and winter time, that I spent in this place, sun doesn't reach the section of sky noticable from the kitchen, but as days grow longer that shining ball goes farther west, finally appearing from behind the neighbour buildings and sinking into far woods.

P.S. Another version on my extension site. And thanks for your good wishes! I feel much better today.

Back to winter wood

To bring some light into your working week I decided to post the photo I took on past holidays. Let your eyes rest on it for a little while.
